SD card help!!!

Was doing a normal nan backup like I do on the nor every week and after reboot SD card will not mount. Only will show as "read only" and will not successfully mount to write as well.
Anyone have any suggestions???
I know the card is not dead as I can still view all info and can even use the card when inserted into SD adapter in my pc. I copied all info from the card just in case with the exception of one folder by the name of "clockworkmod" as it seems to be corrupted or something. I can not copy it or view any info in the folder.

I am very newbie so nothing too techy please
Just copy the files from your old SD card to your PC, then put in the new one and copy the files to the new SD card

Tried that a few times and despite the system saying it has copied all the files over, the folders are all empty and the shortcuts have gone from the phone.
i.e. the medi file has no media and the DCIM file has no photos.
Copy and paste doesn't seem to work in this instance,

Weird. I recently transferred my data from my 2gb micro SD to a 8gb one by copy and paste. And nothing has changed on the device. Did you copy everything (including hidden files if any)?

I hAve just bought a new sd card and have a couple of questions. Do I just save the current contents to desktop and then drag and drop it to the new card? Also can anyone provide an idiots guide to partitioning ?
I copied and pasted the sd card contents. Be sure you copy all the folders

[Q] Creating new folders through the stock gallery to an SD card. Is it possible?

I was wondering if it's possible to create new folders on the SD card from the gallery. Currently, I have my pictures save to my SD card by default. The issue is if I want to take all my recent pictures and put them into a new folder (like "Christmas 2012" or whatever), the gallery creates the new folder on the internal storage and then moves all the selected pictures from the SD card to the phone. Then I have to go through the file manager and move the folder back to the SD card to keep my phone memory available.
Is there a workaround for this, or will using a new gallery app fix it?
Use a file explorer and make yourself your new folder in your sd card. Then you will only have to sort all your photos and will save on your sd card

Link/bind extSdCard to a folder located in internal sd

I'm looking for a way to symbolically link to the external sd card from within the internal sd card for apps that start in /sdCard but don't let me go up one folder so that I can browse files in /storage/extSdCard. For example, /sdCard/extSdCard. I have accomplished this on my s2 using directory bind but it didn't seem to work on my note 3 for some reason. Sorry if this confuses people. It's the best way I can explain it.
