Is there an Xperia specific IRC channel?
The search does not seem to work with just three letters so my search came up empty.

A couple of us have started an channel on IRC Efnet network clled #htc
Join us there if you want!
A live discussion is a good complement to the forum, I think.

Great idea! I am there already
I've been thinking about this for a while, but since my irc knowledge is about five years old and all my bots have disappeared. I simply never got round to it. I even have to reinstall an irc client to get to you guys. or do you have a Java applet floating somewhere in cyberspace?
Well we haven't set anything up, but you could use the great client on
this page:
http://chat.efnet.info/
(It's not java, just ordinary cgi
Just enter a nickname, when connected type /join #htc and you're in!
This might help to all you IRC noobs
http://www.pjirc.com/main.php
Well you're all welcome.
Well, since the dude who started the other IRC-channel topic haven't been in these forums since oct, and the channel is already owned by him so no one will get op, voice, make topics etc, I asked a moderator for permission to create a new thread for a newly registered channel, so here it is!
Maybe you got some questions you don't want to ask in the forums, or just wanna hang out with other people who has the GNex, why not join us on IRC?
Server: irc.freenode.net

Awesome. See you there!!
I am looking to see if anyone knows of a active channel on Freenode.net for the Galaxy S II phones. I have found the one for the Epic Touch 4g. But it does not deal with anything with our T-Mobile phone. As ours is GSM and theres is CDMA.
Right now I am active in #sdx.developers, But this is geared to Sprint Devices. If there is none setup I will be more then happy to set one up and start helping others with rooting, flashing roms and development issues.
My First Suggestion for a channel name would be #SGS2-TMO.
Or #SGS2-GSM.
OK got the channel registered and up and running. Join me on #sgs2-tmo on freenode.net
New IRC channel
OK since I could not find a current channel available on freenode.net, I have started one for us.
Come join us in the new channel #sgs2-tmo Everyone is welcomed.
Come in and ask questions, and hope for a quick response. And meet fellow T889 users!
IRC details:
If you have an IRC client
Just connect to freenode.net, then #T889
If you do NOT have an IRC client
Here's the web interface for webchat on freenode: http://webchat.freenode.net/
Click the link, put in a username, then #T889 in the "Channels" box, fill out the captcha and go.
You can also use an android app:
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=irc
Lots to choose from

IRC Channel for Xperia S: #nozomi on freenode.net
Long story short, an IRC Channel is a perfect way for instant communication.
I used one frequently when I developed GingerDX for the Xperia X8, it' much better than such a cluttered thread, the OpenSEMC thread.
I invite everyone interested in the Xperia S to visit.
Just use this link to the webchat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=nozomi
Or use an IRC Client and log in to #nozomi on freenode.net
any activity on the channel
Im consederin to start porting Chameleon os but i need lots of help and guidance
