It usually stays for some time and then shuts off. If it bothers you that much, you can long press the power button and click OK to completely shut off the OUYA. That's what I do usually before I go to sleep.
Hope this helps...

My phone won't turn on. When I plug it into the charger the notification light and the buttons on the bottom of the phone blink on and off.
I am rooted but not unlocked running the new 4.1 update that I was using fine for hours. If anyone knows what's going on please let me know, thank you

Yea it worked and my phone was running fine for hours. Then I was running a benchmarking app, the phone shut off and now won't do anything but blink when I plug it into a charger.

I held down the buttons and nothing happens, if I plug it into a computer the lights don't flash, I get the red light like its charging but if I try to turn it on or get into to recovery I get the lg screen then it goes off and the red light and captive buttons flash again. Is it soft bricked?

possibly. the only thing i can really suggest is to lgnpst back to v9 which wont work because you get stuck at the 4glte screen but with everything re installed you should be able to get into stock recovery to either reapply the update or wipe /data i believe to fix it. im not 100% sure this will work so its a little risky

Where can I get lgnspt? I have been trying to find a link somewhere
pm'd
It seems I've run into the exact same problem. I was halfway through the update steps (hadn't even actually started the update itself) when my phone decided to just shut off (battery was fully charged and plugged in), and now it won't turn on. At best I can get it into fastboot, but can't go into recovery from there. If I plug it into a wall charger it just bootloops. Everything I've tried so far has led me nowhere.

If the lights are flashing it usually means the phone over heated. The only way I know to reset it is to do a battery pull. I've had to do it several times when using the overclock kernel.

This works perfectly. It's what I had to do. Make sure the phone is completely off, then hold vol down + power + home. When the capacitive buttons light up, release the buttons. It will bot into stock recovery, then do a factory reset. Wala!
This doesn't work for me at all, and I just used LGNPST to reflash v9. If I hold down those buttons, nothing happens. If it's plugged in and I hold them down, after 10-15s the charge light flashes fast (cap buttons don't light up). If I let go, the LG screen comes up for a few seconds and then the phone turns off.
You need to pull the battery. Afterwards itll boot fine
Btw its a known issue with this phone. Overheating causes it among other things

I wish it was that easy, but vol up + vol down while holding the power wont fix it when the lights are flashing like a siren.
You will need a small torx bit screwdriver, a philips screwdriver for the battery cable, and 2 pieces of tape to hold the buttons in place. A guitar pick also works good at seperating the case.

I recently installed the newest update for my HTC ONE. My phone is not rooted nor running a custom ROM. It was running well with the newest update for about a day, I turned it off one night after updating it and now it will no longer turn on. Whenever I press the power button the back and home button flash. Any clue to what's happening? The phone is charging and it shows me the charging screen. e

I should have also said that when I press the power button I can get the battery charging display on the scree to turn on and off. So I'm not sure if the power button is the issue.

Are you holding it long enough?
Try holding volume down and power for like 20-30 seconds.
You call HTC support? Have you ever s-off our unlock the bootloader?

I believe that there is battery protection circuitry that will not allow you to turn on the phone until it's charged. Leave it on the charger for a few hours, up to 24, and try again.

I've had mine lock up on me a couple times now. Any way to force it to power off/reboot without removing the battery?

Mine didn't work. Is it OS based? I'm using Cyanogenmod 11. I was using PPSSPP and I rotated to go landscape and the whole phone just froze. I don't have fingernails, well barely, so it's hard for me to pry the back off.

I tried holding it down for a minute, used a stopwatch. It was a no-go. Maybe it's for the stock ROM.

Try power + vol up, if that doesn't work try power + vol down

Running stock 10m and pressing power also does nothing, no matter how long. Pulling the battery is the only (annoying, because of protective cover) option.

No, that only works after a reboot/when the device is powered off. Not while device is hanging/powered on. Pressing power simply does nothing at all.
I'm about to receive my new Z1c. I've never had a phone that didn't allow access to the battery. What do you do if the phone totally locks up? Or does that never happen?

In case your phone is freezing or totally locked, press power + vol up until it will vibrate 3 times then reboot your phone

There is a hard power off button in red color in the microSD slot, press it 5s and your phone will turn off.
Pressing the power button and volume up at the same time also always worked reliably for me no matter what state the phone was in.
