Anyone else have this issue? Just for the heck of it I wanted to try encryption but the process never goes through. Any suggestions?

Has anyone else had issues installing 4.3 Roms? Usually they install fine but when i go to reboot it gets stuck on samsung splash screen. I have done some searching and found a couple solutions but it seems like they involve going back to stock, which i really want to try and avoid.
Does anyone know of any solutions that dont involve going to stock? I have tried clearing the caches and formatting data, but nothing seems to work.
Got my Note 4 rooted it right away with no issues been running smoothly for a week or so. This weekend it has just got into a bootloop several times, the only thing I have been able to do is wipe data and start over. I mean I have Titanium Backup of all the apps but it is still a hassle. The only thing I have noticed is in the stock recovery it says "dm-verity failed"
I have read running a non-stock kernel will take car of this but not sure this is the issue. Has anyone else had this issue or have a solution?
It's the root. That root is causing that error to pop. Un-root your device.
I am trying to correct this issue as well for s friend who bought a used note smn910p.
It boots up
Its in the abnormal factory reset, reactivation loop i have to provide samsung account from unknown previous owner
rooted s5 smg900r4
fixed dm verity issue using kies3, updated firmware and initialization option.

Ive had my phone encrypted for a while now. Last night I decided to decrypt it so I could root it. The problem is its been stuck on the LG Life Is Good logo for the last 8 hours. The red LG logo is doing the little shimmering effect it normally does but its stuck there. I haven't touched or dropped the phone at all so I'm not sure why its stuck.
Any ideas about what I should do? I'm hoping I haven't lost everything.
Edit: It appears that my phone will not decrypt at all!
Just an update. I pulled the battery and restarted my phone. It appears to have had no negative effect. My phone is still encrypted as well. Strange.
I was initially worried just about the phone being stuck when decrypting but now it appears that no matter what the phone will not decrypt at all. It works fine and has no issues when I enter the passcode in to unlock it etc but decryption does not work at all. The phone is ZV8 stock.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I have the same issue. mine is a d852 from Rogers (Canada) and is unlocked. I had 2 different work emails on the phone that each required the encryption and was applied of course. I removed the email accounts before upgrading to lollipop. I did not decrypt the phone prior to the update. I think that may be the cause for this. (need to decrypt first before the update).
I can reboot the phone and still get into it using the passcode. but if I try to decrypt the phone, its stuck on the LG life is good screen.
I dont care about the data/msgs etc... I just want to turn off the encryption as I do not need those work emails on my phone. would be great to hear if anyone else has had this and if so, how you were able to get past this.
Sounds like you and I have the same exact issue.
Yessir and no support or comments/feedback from anyone here is surprising.
I don't recall seeing anything in the upgrade msg about decrypting the phone first, but if so; then it's our oversight...
If anyone has not yet upgraded to lollipop and can proved some info on what the msg/warning is before you upgrade would be super helpful, at least helps us check something off the list of potential causes anyways.... Nothing on LG site or google that I have found on this issue...
I tried adding the same accounts back to the phone then decrypting and a reset but same thing... Stuck on the LG screen till I pull the battery. Even left it overnight and no difference. Phone was pretty warm in the am.
Seems there is no way to remove the decryption AT ALL after upgrading to lollipop if you didn't decrypt first..

It appears that after the zva update I'm able to decrypt my phone I did it on a whim after remembering I hadn't tried it after the update.
I'm assuming this is the reason, as nothing else has changed. I did it about 3 days and it went through pretty quickly.
I ended up going through Rogers warranty to get the phone re images. Not sure what caused it to not play nice when I did it. None the less I sold the phone.
All,
I just upgraded my wife's phone and would like to sell her old one, a Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Touch. based on my reading, the best approach for wiping the phone's data is to encrypt it. I have been trying this, but it keep failing with "Encryption failed: Unable to complete encryption due to interruption..."
The phone had been rooted, and thinking that that could be the problem, I downloaded a stock kernel and installed it. However, the problem persists. Is there anything else I can try?
Thank you.

After trying the process of resetting the phone, reflashing it, and encrypting several times, I thought that the problem was resolved - the progress bar for the encryption got all the way to 98% before it died. I tried again and it crapped at around 20%.
I am stuck - please help.
Thank you.
