is NOT only one app:
*Netflix
*PLEX
*WatchESPN
*Time Warner Cable
*HBO Go
*Cinemax Go
it is not an app issue is the ROM, Netflix works just fine using CM10 on the HTC ONE X.
and...
LED does not work properly, it does not turn red when phone is charging or green when is fully charged

Doubt its a "ROM" issue. Judging by those apps, its not passing some sort of authentication check within those apps.
*Notification* led works fine. The Samsung implementation as it is on stock doesn't work, which makes sense.
Plex works, you just have to set it up right.

My point was that there's more people who DON'T use those specific broken apps than who do, so, CM10 can be a daily driver for MOST people.
And I didn't say LED notifications weren't working (they are); I just said that the Touchwiz-specific charging/charged mostly-useless-notification isn't implemented in CM.

Call Echo and Netflix
The only real issue I'm having now is the echo that the person you call hears that started when the fix was added for being unable to hear phone calls on answer (until you toggled speaker). I see there is a merge regarding audio in the latest nightly (0823), but it specifically references d2usc not d2att, so I'm not sure it even applies, even if it is related to this issue. Does anyone know if the echo on the other end is still present after 0823?
Other issues I still have even after a full wipe, but that aren't as important (and are otherwise well-known), are the inconsistent wake behaviour of the home button (just use power button instead), and occasional screen flicker when you don't disable hardware overlays. There's also the >160 character SMS thing, but mine seems to split the messages in half OK (instead of sending it as one message, which would be preferable).
As for Netflix I do not use it, but when browsing the changes at r.cyanogenmod.com a few days ago I came across one that stated in the comment that it was to fix the Netflix issue for our phones. It wasn't merged at the time, though, and I can't seem to locate it now. I'll post it if I do so you can watch if/when it gets merged. Either way, they are aware and working on the issue, and it seems to be fixable with ROM changes.

What worked for me was Advanced Settings, use Plex OpenGL Player, Transcode Off, Direct Play Enabled, and Device Supports HLS OFF(unchecked).
Ok so my thoughts so far after using the latest build (08/23) is that its good and I will use it as my daily driver, a few things here and there that I miss from touchwiz, but overall its an awesome rom hiccups here and there, but stable enough as a daily driver.

+1
I gave up on the preview build a few weeks ago, but it's much better now. I won't consider going back to stock until JB is officially released.
...unless I change my mind before then.
That setting will basically stream the movie without any type of transcoding or compression which defeat the purpose of using Plex. Also you will not get audio on any video unless is only stereo. The purpose of Plex is to be able to stream your movie collection without having to worry about compatibility with your device.

It must be the shady ROM you're using, that is the culprit. On stock ROM, loads of recorders work great.
What REALLY sux, is the fact that it's impossible to record both ends, when you're using a BT headset.
I've tried every possible setup, with every recording app around, I'm rooted, enabled recording in ROM.
Nothing helps. Is this 2013 or is it 1995? Even the good doctor Ketan stands speechless! Grrrrrr.....
A nice recording app is the "Call Recorder" Link An even better one for our phones is "Total Recall" Link
doesnt work.

This really do sucks, but i'm using Slim Bean and not shady..
I used to have Alliance ROM and recording indeed was great, but the ROM became too slow after a while, so I decided to move to AOSP.
now everything works flawlessly including high DPI and lockscreen camera app, but the call recording is not working with none of the apps in the market. Incl. the ones you stated.
any other suggestions?
Thanks!
You can use the XposedFramework and the calll record app in there. That should work

You're joking, right?
I have tested Sanity as well, but to no avail.
Are you using stock ROM, & latest 4.1.2 build?
In case you REALLY got it to record both ends
using BT headset; could you share all the setup?
@TS: I was just being somewhat ironic, calling
your ROM a shady one. As in "fishy"....
(since it's not a stock one...)

Just make sure you change the "audio source" setting from "microphone" to "phone call" and it should work. It's been working on every Stock ROM I've ever used including 4.1.2.

PS. I'm using the donate version but I've forgotten why I bought it... might have been just to support the developer.

Well, I have now tested once again, and as expected, it only records the far side of the conversation.
I wonder what could possibly differ between our settings? You're, in fact, the only user ever, to report
that call recording works with BT headset on our phones. This is really strange and very frustrating.
We need the good Dr Ketan, to shed some light in this matter. If he doesn't know, I'll just give up.

It says in the description, that the phone speaker has to be switched "on", to have BT recording work, but it still doesn't. Thanx for trying to help out, but I start to believe it's hopeless...

Dr.Ketan is a respected member and a Recognized Contributor of this forum If you are here in Note 2 section and you haven't seen his post then I've nothing to say! And try to spell his name correctly.
And yes, Xposed does work good for recording. As I'll never be on any custom thingy I don't really care what goes on outside stock base, sorry.

Unless you're using a BT headset. Then the record button is greyed out.
I've come to the conclusion that this simple task is impossible to achieve.
User "Tubgirl" claims that it works on her phone. I really don't know. If you
google the problem, you'll find that no one else have managed to get it right.
I'm prepared to give up on this one....
I could be mistaken, but I think in-phone recording (that doesn't involve speakerphone) is not possible, at least on the ROM's I've tried.
Whenever I take a video or make a sound recording with ALL stock Android ROMs I've flashed, the audio was hushed. Is there any stock Android ROM that has an exception to this? Or is it just me that has a problem with the audio in video and sound recording on stock Android ROMs?

You just need the right app.
I tested this on 4.2.2 a few months ago, someone needed a call recorder. About 3-4 apps failed to record anything at all, but the last one, I think Automatic Call Recording was working. But i doubt it'll work on 4.4.2.
It's not about the ROM, it's about the app's problem. Since apps are made keeping general android devices in mind, its not a surprise that these most apps dont work on all phones, just specific ones..let alone support kitkat yet.
Try this - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oduzhar.galaxycallrecorder
It's specifically made for Samsung API so should definitely work on 4.2.2 and maybe even 4.4.2
EDIT : Found the old post I was talking about regarding 4.2.2 stock. I had tested and confirmed this app working - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45635101&postcount=10

Hi,
I am in process of transferring from HTC to Xperia Z1 Compact.
One of the most important aps is Call Recorder by Skvalex.
Have tried version 1.52, but recording does not work.
Has anybody had success in using Skvalex Call Recorder, which version and settings.
I am on RomAur v1.2 and it claims call that recording will work, but it doesn't.
Can not use any other recorder, as I like to keep all past recordings.
Thanks!
Would help if you could tell us in detail about the issue. Could you elaborate the issue? Is it crashing? Can't record? Corrupt sound file? No sound? can't install from playstore?
Does it work generelly for people?

Nope, it only catches the other party through the microphone (no sound if mic switched off).

hm, can't judge due to lack of signatures, but I suspect those reporting it as working are on 4.4 Kitkat.
