I was well excited to see this here then noticed it's the old build with the volume bug - ok no problem flash coolhbo300's kernel no worries.
The thing is as much of a CM fanboi I am I cant update maps on there or resize widgets so atm for me it's not a daily driver
but it is CM9 w00t! \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/ \o/
I will be watching the post over on rootzwiki for updates
Top job from fitsnugly for the cherry picks and compiling it for us
Happy for everyone waiting for it but, IMHO, nothing beats stock Android.

Sorry I'm not registered at euroskank so I can't read the thread... where do we get this? how come it isn't listed in the development section? would love to get some CM9 on my phone....
I'm guessing it's still an internal build at present
Did anyone flash this build? Any known bugs or crashes?
Anyway, I'm downloading right now and will post my findings.

Works great for me so far. Wallet is included in gapps and that works ive just got my free 10 dollar.
Agreed, no issues so far. Everything's smooth and fast and there's finally natively included power management in the notifications again
I flashed CM-9.0.0-RC0-GN-KANG-signed.12092011-0723 and ICS GApps 20111125-2
Changes I noticed so far:
- slightly customized bootanimation (sadly not the clear black mod by now)
- Power toggles in notification bar; WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sound (not customizable by now)
- CM kernel included; Min: 350Mhz, Max: 1200Mhz, interactive governor as default, no OC, no UV (as far as I see it)
- Android Dream included (screensaver); options: Rocketlauncher, Nyandroid, Gallery Slideshow, Clock (<-- not working, black screen)
- Google+ not included
- Google Wallet included and working
- ROM Manager pre-installed
- Additional LWPs: Black Hole, Magic Smoke
- Reboot options in power menu! Restart, Bootloader, Recovery
My personal impression:
- the device seems VERY smooth! I had Android Revolution as well as Ir5 installed and CM 9 is at least on par. I didn't install many additional apps yet though.
- I miss advanced CM settings in this build, like in CM7. Can't seem to find them. But they'll be added for sure
I'll edit the post if I find something else.
Cheers

edit: I miss Paul's modified buttons with menu button on both sides and always on. I'll do a backup and flash the mod. Let's see if it breaks something
Not many changes but it is a start!
I miss drop down notifications.
My Google Wallet doesn't work says Secure Element has stopped responding. *shrugs* help
How close is the launcher to stock? I heard you can move/remove the search bar, but I still want the basic look and feel of ICS...
can someone running CM9 please test live wallpapers?
is there still choppy lag when using a live wallpaper other than the stock one?
Awesome, downloading and flashing now... will report back with impressions.
Feels very smooth. Strange thing i've noticed, The music player is the GB one, not the ICS one. Still works but slightly odd.

There are links to the rom and Google apps in the first post.
Btw the button mod crashed the modified cm9 framework as expected. Don't install any mods or patches.

There are no options regarding the launcher in this version of cm9. Launcher is stock with google search.
@paOol: depends on the wallpaper. Phase beam is butter smooth while the Nexus LWP lags like hell.

I got my Galaxy Nexus yesterday. Is it worth going from stock to CM9 already?
Or should i wait some weeks for new versions, what do you think?
Is there anything with CM9 that will get worse then with stock-rom if i flash now?

Hmm, the home button doesn't seem to work. have anyone else noticed this, or is it just my mobile?
Overall, it runs splendidly. I'm having issues with link2sd, but i'll get it sorted in a jiffy.
Nice work and it's already pretty stable now.
But what about a2sd? And I've got some problems with teminal emulator. Cannot grant su access to this app. Wierd
I found something else...When I plug in my headphones, they are recognized by the phone but when I play music its played by the loudspeakers and not the headphones... It's really annoying!!!
hej what internal file system is this rom build for? If its ext4 im ready to give it a try I hope the build is based on the cm 9 b3 its more stable and less buggy than version b2.

Right, so I've been playing around with it for a while now and i couldnt find that many bugs.
Camera - Known issue
Battery drain - Isn't that horrible. Yes, it gobbles up the battery, but its still better than some mobiles. Still light years ahead of San Fransisco and Xperia X10.
Home button doesn't work. - The mobile wakes up when pressed. But it does nothing in the browser, settings menu and so on.
No WIFI notification logo. - Not vital, just slightly annoying.
Link2SD gives error. - But completes actions regardless and works fine.
MIUI Clock distorted and cropped - Probably due to the DPI alteration. Original DPI setting would be appreciated.
No notification bar power bar - Might not be relevant since i have yet seen a MIUI rom with that particular power bar.

Ta, mate. Great work otherwise.
Correction. Link2SD gives a false positive. EXT partition is unmountable but Link2SD still gives "Appname linked to SD card" notification. It reverts to native app2sd instead.
I went to settings and left my phone on, and when i came back it was frozen. When i held my finger on the screen i got a lil vib as a respond.

Still no love for the TF300TG in here....sad sad sad...
I would need help with someone making a kernel that supports the TG on 4.2. When that happens, I can see if I can support it, but I would need help with testing since I don't own one. (they don't even sell any of the 3g/4g models of any transformer in Canada lol)

Can I request a couple of changes please.:
I use my tablet for work and having Barney the dinosaur in the task bar is embarrassing, can you either provide an option to toggle it or explain how to remove it totally.
In the 4.2 Launcher the Return/Home/Running buttons are in the middle of the tablet in landscape which makes them hard to reach with thumbs. Can you left align them please.
Can you remove the SD card inserted and docking connected notifications which make no sense at all to me.
Oh, what exactly are 1% battery mods?
Thanks

So you don't like Grimlock eh? Sounds like you were not a product of the 80's LOL.
Anyway, attached is a TWRP flashable zip to get rid of the Grimlock icons, but the main rom will still include them.
View attachment Dinoremoval.zip
As for the 4.2 interface. That is the way Google intended them to be and I'm not sure there is a simple way to align them to the left. Not sure why Google thought this would be a good idea. I just stick with the 4.1 launcher.
SD and dock notifications are a work in progress. It is something I will be getting rid of as soon as I can. I hate them too.
As for the 1% battery mods, what I mean is that the battery icons change every 1% as opposed to stock Android, which only changes every 15% or so (don't know the exact number and don't feel like looking it up haha) so you will have a more accurate read of your battery % meters without having to open up the notification screen.
Very nice ROM, used it for a few when I messed up another ROM. I would still being using it but I too really don't like the dino on the lock or brightness controls.
I will be watching this ROM to see how it plays out in the future.

I have switched to 4.1 which has the added bonus of ditching the oversized Google bar from the top of the screen.

Update - Version 1.2
May 21 2013
- removed the docking notification (thanks elesbb)
- Changed to a stock kernel out of the box (Hundsbuah's flashes nicely over it)
- added init.d scripts for better I/O etc.
- cleaned up the rom a bit
- patched services.jar for better multitasking
Please note - to any TF300TG users out there, within the next few days I should be releasing a rom specifically designed for you guys and I plan on making the two roms have a similar feature set. I'm just waiting for some feedback from a couple testers to see if my kernel tweaks make everything work and hopefully it will be up soon.
hardslog said:
Welcome to the thread my new ROM, entitled GRIMLOCK (Of course named after the BEST TRANSFORMER EVAR!!!!!!!)
The rom is based off of the newest TF300T release from Asus (10.6.1.15.3)
Please note. you MUST be on a 4.2 compatible version of TWRP to flash this ROM. My suggestion is the newest 2.5.0.0 as it has NOT been tested on other versions. It runs on the 4.2 bootloader. If you have a version of TWRP that runs on the 4.1 bootloader you will likely end up with an expensive paperweight. There is plenty of information about upgrading to the newest bootloader and ROMS by Asus. Alas if you have not read about it, please look over this fantastic thread by joelalmeidaptg http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187982 about upgrading to the new bootloader and roms.

Hi
P6 is 6 mm.. it's not made for gaming at all but for design and use like a smartphone need to be used ..
The problem it's the fact that huawei don't give us the kernel source of KK (we need to use official kernel) so in custom rom the power consumption is high so use a JB custom rom, or go to Official KK and install Xposed Framework (for personalisations)
Try the rom listed in my sig

You are lucky many people don't like Paranoid for the power consumption i'm too on it and for a daily use it's good.
Paranoid use the theme application from CM11/PAC/ and others you need to download one (on the playstore for exemple and go to settings > theme and in style you can change the icons by apply one of your downloaded theme.
You shouldn't use ART even in KitKat this functionality is in beta and it's doesn't change nothing just some app don't work because they are not upgrade to run on ART.
Good Luck

AOSPA is Paranoid Android did you mean AOSP ?
AOSP is a too basic android version for me in AOSPA there is hover (notifications at the top), pie (for the immersive mod) and Peek in settings > display (for lockscreen notification)
And for theming you need Xposed and it's a bit more difficult to use than CM11theming app
yea i mean AOSP
To get all that u need just a exposed+ gravity box
and for theme u need exposed + hk theme manager ( aplly any cm/pa theme )

Thanks but I don't look at this it's not a very good indication.
I will try ..
EDIT : The app crashed x)
Second try : About 13500 but no lag no bugs can play Fifa 14 with no lag between 1 Go and 1.2Go free RAM (with Ram manager pro) why i don't agree with this (My old Galaxy S2 had 11000 with custom rom don't remember the name .. overclocked 2x1.6 ghz and 1Go of RAM)
Do you guys have busybox and metamorph instaled? cause i cant get them to work :S busybox stucks at 1.97% for smart and metamorph gets this error metamorph system could not be mounted as rw
i am doing this so i can change battery icon with rom toolbox pro

No, but I got around 1 day full battery life with my normal use. Some gaming, music, FB, WhatsApp etc. With other roms battery draining was fast, in standby also.
