[Q] Soft brickedi cant reset

I recently found out I soft bricked my phone after browsing through the forums. I looked up for the solution and it turns out that I need to reset it back, no problem with that so I installed odin back again (I rooted my phone before so I had it). I first downloaded the official firmware from sammobile or some site like that and I downloaded a PIT file for my phone because the tutorial said it was essential when resetting a smartphone. I followed every step but when I launch odin and select the required tick boxes and the PDA PITi I start it. It starts up but in the middle of the loading I shows up the DO NOT TURN OFF THE TARGET!!! message and It stops.

Hi
Do you have a custom recovery?
Which phonemodel do you have?
U can install TWRP through Odin using a tar file. Go to TWRP and search your model, get the tar file and install it.
From TWRP u can sideload a rom using ADB.
You can push files to the phone using it, that way u can push the rom to the phone and install it through TWRP.
A long way around but worth trying when all else fail.

Trying to root samsung galaxy sd4 gt-I9190

got to the Odin box. checked PDA. clicked PDA.
The following comes up next to PDA: C:\Users\Debbie\Downloads\GT-I9190 (2)\GT-I9190\CF-Auto-Root.tar
click the start button at the bottom of the Odin screen.
Phone screen sys downloading do not turn off target. Blue line doesn't move past about 1/4 the way across screen.
Not sure if it matters, but phone screen upper left corner: one line says Knox Kernel lock: 0x0 then Knox warranty void: 0x0
after a couple minutes Odin screen says Failed.

I think the phone may be hung. Don't know what to do to reset without causing bigger issues. Beginner with all this. Please help me.
Oh, I did try to just open the CF-auto-root file to see if I was missing something, but it wants a password to open the file.
Hi,
I will have your thread moved to your device section.
Good luck!

S4 Soft briked or Hard Briked? Wont turn on only vibrates. Black Screen.

Hello dear friends, this is my second phone from tmobile as they sent m a defective one before, I have been out of a phone for around a month or so, and finally got one that worked. I modded it and everything worked fine.
I downloaded and installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361
Everything worked fine, until today the app "OTA Update" told me there was a new update for my firmware. I decided I would update it since I thought it was the latest version. The update installed and it reset my phone. When my phone reset, it went into TWRP Recovery mode, I already knew something went wrong but I decided to just restart the phone and see if it would still work.
Once I restarted my phone, the screen turned "beige color" (light brown) with a white line across, I started getting worried and removed the battery.
When I tried turning on the phone again, nothing would work. If I hit the power button I get a response from the phone with a vibration. However everything is black, I see no Samsung logo nothing, just a vibration. Also the 2 physical buttons next to the power button work and vibrate and sometimes turn on if I touch them.
Download Mode
It seems my phone can barely manage to get into download mode, by that I mean the screen will remain black, however If I press the button combination to enter download mode, the screen stays black, however in ODIN it says my device is connected. I tried installing the stock ROM however I get this status:
<OSM> Leave CS..
<ID:0/005> Odin v.3 engine (ID:5)..
<ID:0/005> File analysis..
<ID:0/005> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I also tried reinstalling TWRP so that I could get some sort of recovery, however ODIN installs it fine, but when I try to boot into recovery, my screen remains black.
If I plug the phone into my computer it is recognized by the computer as SGH-M919 however there are no folders inside of it, and the phone's LED goes yellow to indicate it's charging.
How screwed am I? Is there anything I could possibly do to restore this phone back to normal? I have such a big headache right now, and I am desperate for answers. Google has yielded no results. Please, I ask someone who has been in this situation to help me.
Edit: I somehow managed to turn on the phone, HOWEVER the screen remains black. And I can press the volume keys and hear the phone raising the volume, if I press the key down it goes lower and lower and to vibrate. The whole time I turn on the phone the screen remains black. I can feel the touchpad vibrate when I press it (Im assuming im at the lockscreen), however I cannot see anything.
Edit #2: Somehow, I don't know how, I managed to get download mode working (still black screen), I used odin to flash the stock rom, here are the results:

If you phone has a custom ROM or custom Recovery, an OTA update will not work. They expect you to be running a Stock ROM and a Stock Recovery. So, you'll have to flash a Stock Firmware to get back to working.
Make sure you are running at least ODIN 3.09, and download a recent firmware from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/firmwares-official-mdl-mk2-nb4-t2816508
(You can flash a higher version, but you can't flash a lower version.)
Flash it and you should boot up.

I just downloaded and tried to install the rom.
The screen still remains black, I can hear the tmobile sound when I turn on the phone, and a blue LED light turn on, but my screen remains black.

It may be hardware. Either an issue with the screen, or a connection to the screen.
Maybe someone else will chime in and offer something else to try.
Rob
Pull batt, wait 10 min, try turning on without battery (make sure its drained), replace batt, plug into pc (while turned off) holding vol down. Good luck.

Firmware upgrade encountered an issue

Hey,
After use note 5 rom, I tried to return to stock rom 5.1.1.
But when I tried to flash the rom by odin, I have the message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again"
So, now, I have an access to the download mode, not recovery. But when I tried to reflash official rom, Odin failed after freeze on "setup initialisation".
Can you help me please?
Thanks

There is a way to have root access?
Never mind I found it
Sorry for the late reply .. But yes you can root with CF Root or within TWRP
Is this a flaseable file by recoveri?
please help
I have an AT&T S6 Edge + unlocked for use with Metropcs. I need to utilize the WiFi calling and I'm not able to use 4g lte while calling either. I have spent hours and hours looking through forums and reading, downloading stock T Mobile ROM files to try to flash my phone through Odin. I get a PIT error message on the phone every time. Everyone says that my baseband version has to match or else it will not work. If I want to flash T Mobile stock ROM on my phone I don't see how that is possible. Can someone please walk me through this if possible?
