Change Bluetooth profile - Captivate Accessories

Hi guys,
i am new here. So i am sorry if i am asking a stupid question. I want to use my Nexus 5 in my car with the Nexus Wireless charger and of course connect it to caraudio with a bluetooth adapter.
So i bought from amazon:
HomeSpot kabelloser Bluetooth HIFI Musikadapter mit NFC
The first time i connected the device i got asked to choose the between 2 profiles. I chose "Media audio" and since then i can't change the bluetooth profile. I google it and the only advice i found was reset my phone...
I tried to clear my bluetooth cash, unpair it but nothing worked. It must be a better way than to reset my Phone to factory settings!
Thank you very much for your answers.

Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting may be a better place to post your question, that is among those who use the same device.

Bluetooth Headphones Problem

I have an O2 XDA Mini S and have just purchased a pair of Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headphones. I have paired the two; however, I only get the Hands Free service (which works) but NO Wireless Audio. I have not installed any other software / drives and I am using WMP 10 Mobile to play the music.
Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Harold Clements
...Ok, I have been on this for about 4 hours now and I am starting to get a bit annoyed.
I clicked on Motorola HT820 and then went ‘Refresh’ and up popped ‘Headset’ so I ticked that and saved. I then clicked (and held) on Motorola HT820. The options that I get are Edit – Delete – Set as Hands Free. I think I should also have ‘Set as Wireless Stereo’ or something, but I don’t.
Please, has anyone any ideas?
Thanks, Harold Clements
Wirless Audio Hacks
I really could do with someone’s help!
I have read about the ‘hacks’ (zoad2p.cab, Tornado asdp, AKU2.6) but I am unsure:
a) if this is a solution to for problem / PDA.
b) what a hack is and why is it needed?
Please can someone help!
I don't know wich kind of PDA you have, as you can see everyone here calls their PDAs by their HTC's code name (mine is a universal), go to look the pictures of all the PDAs, find yours and search directly inside there, it will be much easier for you to find an answer.
One simple comment, your PDA has to have the Bluetooth high quality audio (is called be some PDAs in this way), see if your PDA does contain such feature, you have to activate it if you want to hear stereo audio, generally when you pair your phones for the first time, your PDA will show you the option already ticked, if you haven't see it, chances are that something is missing in your bluetooth profiles, go to your PDA's specific part of this forum and read, with patience and some luck, I'm sure you'll find whatever you need to get your PDA's stereo audio to work.
Most of the cases, are just the lack of the profiles or even installing another BT stack.
good luck
Thanks...
Thank you very much for your advice / reply, it was very much appreciated. It seems that my PDA is a Wizard. I will indeed search that part of this forum.
Thanks again,
Harold Clements
I don't think your phone supports A2DP profile. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Neither do i know if his phone supports it, I use to have an Ipaq 6340, it suppose that it didn't supported A2DP but with an BT stack extracted from another PDA (don't remember wich one) it worked, it didn't worked very well, it dropped audio more or less each 30 seconds for 2 seconds, someone said at that time that was processor lack of power -I didn't agree with this-, but I did no further investigation.
As far as I've understood, the main bottleneck for stereo profiles (or any deamanding profile in BT) is the radio, of course, if We don't have access to the manufacturers good information, good tools, much time and even more will is very hard to find a solution to anything, most of us do not spend lots of time with this things -it's not easy for anyone with a "normal" life-, and I'm not complaining!
It's just fine for me, the whole thing it's quite enjoyable like this, some more time spent in this way and it would become a second work.
So, may us have fun and keep an excellent forum up.

To be truthful, I know very little about what I am trying to do. All I know is that I can’t get the music side of the Motorola headset working.
As I said in my previous post: I have an O2 XDA Mini S (Wizard) and have just purchased a pair of Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headphones. a hack is getting a device which dont support a feature to do it anyway
if htc dident make your device to support a2dp == bluetooth stereo
you maybe be able to get it to do it anyway using a hack
if any hacks works for your device
as it differs
bluetooth support is never support for all profiles bluetooth have
plus there are bluetooth version 1 - 1.1 - 1.2 and 2.0

The zoia a2dp hack (zoa2dp.cap) is what you need, it will give you "Set as wireless stereo" but be prepared for pretty bad skipping, that has not yet been solved for all of wizards.
Also if you flash to a custom rom (Like Molski's 2.26 it'll have the patch automatically.)

does the bluetooth pairing request problem exist on the note 2?

currently have the gs3 thinking of getting the note 2. on the gs3 with the stock jellybean roms there is a problem that there is bluetooth pairing request every time you pair with a device, even if you have paired with that device before. it does not just connect automatically each time you must fill the request to connect.
does this happen with note 2?
No problem here pairing with a samsung headset and also a nokia one. No repeated request filling.
But of course there are lots of other problems with bluetooth (at least for me), especially with S voice control. Let's say the bluetooth experience on this phone is not stellar... Hoping these things will get better with time
Hi,
Paired my bluetooth once and going fine since then. Never asked to pair again.
Cheers!!

i picked up the note 2 here in the US today...unfortunately it seems we have to pair bluetooth every single time. really sucks. every time i connect to my appradio2 i get i have to confirm the passkey to connect. there is no way around it that i can see and my previous phone the gs3 running cm10 never had this problem. could there possibly be someting i'm missing as to why it asks to confirm the passkey every time?

Hello sir,
I'm also having this same situation when connecting my N7100 to the car audio.
I think this is because the Bluetooth function on N7100 Jelly Bean is in invisible mode (Only visible for 2 Minutes with Default Setting).
Try to change the Visible Time Out on Bluetooth settings to "Never Time Out".
Hope this help.:silly:
Maybe a work around
Hello,
You might have the problem with "old" and "new" pairing method and these don't get on quite well. The problem is that you can't make the pairing code permanent.
You might want to try this work around and see if it works (I'm not sure but I managed to pair the ICS BT in my wifes car this way):
- Turn BT on on your phone and prepare it to send a picture or a contact by BT
- Put the device you want to pair with your Note in pairing mode (so it can be discovered by the Note)
- Now send the contact/image from the Note to the device you want to pair.
- The note will start searching for devices and you chose the device you need once the phone found your device
- Now the notification bar on the phone should prompt for the BT connection and you have the option to put in the code and check the "Do not ask anymore" option. After hitting OK your code should be permanent.
This method was found by a Master Brain called Rayer and he published it on a XPeria forum; you can hit the "Thank You" button anyway if it helps you

I don't have a Mazda, but have the Verizon M8 and have no issues pairing my phone for both calls and audio, regardless of whatever ROM I've tried. Your car is three years old, so I suspect the problem is there. I would take it into Mazda and see if there is a software update for their entertainment/bluetooth. Also, if you've paired up your phone to anything else previously (headphones, speaker, etc.) you might want to delete those pairings before trying to set it up again. If none of those things work, then you might be out of luck unless you want to upgrade your car stereo. There are many instances where certain devices/cars just don't work well together, but the M8 has the latest bluetooth release available. Good luck.
Thanks for the support and for helping find the Solution!

Think you for your fast response, so I called up my dealership and they said they don't have any updates for my stereo.
But I did find a solution YAY!
1. keep one of the failed pairs in your phone
2. download "Bluetooth Connect and Play"
3. Here are the settings you want:
Bluetooth Receiver is [ON]
when this bluetooth device connects...
[*] Mazda
4. Click the 3 dots in the corner and click "Tweaks"
5. Heres what you want:
When trigger player
(*) Start player on basic bluetooth connect only
Seconds to wait 0
everything else unchecked
6. Make sure all other connections are deleted from your car and then set the car to pair while the code 0000 is on the screen go to your bluetooth settings and delete "Mazda" then click "Mazda" when it comes up enter 0000 and then bluetooth connect and play will come up and music will start playing
7. music will stop and it will ask you to name the device.. cool
8. enjoy wireless music

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues - Limitations?

So I have an Eonon GA1312 Single din (RK3188).
I have been having two bluetooth issues. All have been troubleshot by disabling and enabling/deleteing data/cache of Bluetooth app, different settings and "off" in factory settings for bluetooth tab and a reload of malasyk rom after a factory reset.
Bluetooth will always show every device it sees. I have 6 Devices under "available devices". 2 I know of (game pad and OBD). 4 were because things were in range when scanning. They persist through everything. It's so weird.
Secondly, the ODB, while off is "available", but once conmected it jumps to "paired" devices and connects no problem. My game pad (nes30 pro to test the viability of bluetooth media control without buying one) is there whether in range, on, or not, and if I try to connect, I tap it, I am asked if I want to connect, and it does nothing.
My cellphones connect fine.
I read all over about some bluetooth limitations but found nothing documented on tje wiki or in the forum.
Any help? Sorry if repost, I thought I made a thread but it says it isn't there and I have no move/deleted notices.
Bump for justice.

Question Poco F3 Not connecting to my car

I am new to Poco. This is my second post. I have got Poco F3 5G, MIUI 12.5.1.
My car is Kia Stonic and it is approximately 3.5 years old.
By Bluetooth, I paired my Poco with my car without any problem. It even downloaded my contacts too.
But it just WILL NOT connect to my car when I turn the engine on.
So far I reset my car Bluetooth system, unpaired then re-paired on my telephone. It still will not connect to the car.
My old Moto G7 plus connects absolutely fine.
Hopefully you guys might have few suggestions.
Thank you.

have you tried searching in settings for android auto, then tinkering with those settings?
oh, i was assuming you have an android auto enabled car... do you?
Failing that, not ideal, but you could try an auto connect app...
see here
Hello reg66, before answer you, I wanted to wait until the software update of my car done.
Unfortunately it didn't help.
The only way my POCO F3 5G connects to the car by USB cable via Android Auto. I suppose it is OK to connect by cable but every short journey I make I have to use this cable....very inconvenient.
It will be connected to my car even if I take the cable out until I turn the engine off.
As you have suggested I have tinkered with the settings of Android Auto but my efforts were to no avail.
On the other hand my old phone Moto G7 plus connects to the car as soon as I turn the engine on....Via Bluetooth.
So I suppose the culprit is my new phone.....Thank you.

What about using one of those auto connect apps I linked to.... So that when you're car is detected it auto connects and launches android auto...
Ohh yes, you have just reminded me....Any particular one you may like to recommend?
i have a sonata 2018 and i had the same problem when i tried to connect my tablet Huawei tab 10.1
any way i had to go inside the care screen setting and just randomly clicked something in my Bluetooth setting and it worked
in the link you will a way get inside the car setting and look for Bluetooth stuff
sorry for my bad english i hope i helped you
for just auto connect (let us know if your android auto launches successfully when connected) this one looks to have good reviews....
but i had a thought.... have you reached the maximum allowed registered devices in your Kia? Try deleting one/some of the connected devices in your Kia's bluetooth settings, that may then allow auto pairing of new devices

Thank you Reg. I'll have a look at that link.
I had already deleted the other devices anyway.
