I was on the way to catch my bus this morning when I noticed a collection of dust under the glass in the top right corner of the screen. I'm just wondering whether it would be worth sending it in to HTC?
They've had it three times since I've had it. They screwed up the first repair after I dropped it and dust was under the screen then. HTC fixed that for it to come back with a scratch on the screen.
So, do you guys think I should send it in again or just live with it? I've de-branded and unlocked it so I'm not sure they'll even repair it.
Hi, I am in dire need of help...
I dropped my phone, broke the screen and swapped it out for a brand new one. During the swap I managed to make a very small crack at the edge of the new screen... Now the top 3/4 inch doesn't respond.
I find this very strange since when my screen was completely shattered touch worked normally, but now a small crack and it doesn't work? Does that sound normal? Could there maybe be any other underlying problems?
Any help or input would be appreciated...
Thanks
You clearly don't like your DHD and DHD don't like you
Joke.
Well, this surely sounds like interesting but as far as i know, you managed to break the connectors of touchscreen during the replacement. Touchscreen fails (although not completely) = you clearly need a new one, if it is even possible to replace. And about the thing, that this didn't happen when u dropped the phone is because it might only damaged it a little and it still worked, but when changing the glass, the damage extended.
The touchscreen is a layered device. When you shattered it you only broke the outside layer. Sounds like you broke another layer plus the outside layer this time.
Thanks for the replies guys.
Layered digitizer, didn't know that. That makes sense to me because the crack in my new screen isn't superficial (meaning I can't "touch" the crack, it's on the inside I guess).
Thanks again, I guess I'm buying a new digitizer and hope that works, sucks not being able to touch the top portion of the screen!
Hey guys,
So it's a long story, but my phone dropped, and the shiny glass screen we have cracked from the top left corner, the screen works fine, I can see everything, the touchscreen still functions perfectly, To be honest I don't even notice it anymore, but everyone keeps annoying me to fix it, so does anyone know where I could find a replacement, and a I guide to put it on cause I couldn't find one.
Thanks,
London

Hi all
I cracked the screen off my sgn2
It still works but I got it fixed and got a spare cracked screen.
Is there a way that I can use the screen?
Maybe like a little touch screen for my desktop pc and build in to the case
so I dont need my monitor...

Guys I need help with this.
On may I sent my phone to warranty due to the faulty motherboard that killed my phone. The second day I got it back I noticed a small golden spot in the screen but I didnt really pay attention. I got used to it and I really didn't notice the spot going bigger. I quit my job so I kinda stopped using my phone like I used to, now I just load WhatsApp from the browser and thats it.
During july I noticed that the spot became even bigger and just the day I lost my 1 year warranty the spot became even bigger and there was a second one. Today I noticed a new one. The thing just happens overnight... WTH??
It's like the screen is peeling off beneath the screen, if I push it down it kind goes away while keeping it pressed but if I remove the pressure the spot comes back again.
Why is this happening? I don't want to replace the screen just to have it happen to me again specially since the screen will cost me a lot to replace here in Mexico. Even if I buy the screen myself from Repair Universe (is it safe?).
Is this humidity?
Yes it is humidity my friend. Friend's G4 has the same problem after he droped it in water, just his marks are REALLY BIGG
Dang it!
The replacement is $85USD but Im not sure if I should change it right now, wait or probably get a new phone
Thanks!
