I just got the Note 10.1 2014 edition... not overly impressed already.
I updated Evernote through Google Play, and still no handwriting? Does Samsung block it on their note tablets? I can't find how to get this going.
Mine has hand writing with the newest update

Hit the paperclip on the top. You'll see the handwriting option. I had to look it up to find this out.

I just saw the gs4 google edition and really it took my heart
I was wondering if there is a rom that can change my note 2 to be a note 2 google edition?

That would be really nice to have a Note 2 Google Edition. Been searching on google about it but no luck so far.

CM 10.1 Nightly is probably as close as we will get.
it would be nice to have a note2 GE, but I think we never will see google delivering a GE rom for an old device.
note2 sports pen functions, not a good idea to loose s-pen with a rom not supporting it.
Even if I love google experience, and I personally own a gnex as second phone, I love my note2 as it is, since it's not laggy and works like a virgin nexus.
CM10 is wot u can get to make note2 close to GE

Half of the s-pen functions work on aosp roms.. And apps like gmd spen can even expand that more.

with the note 3 coming soon, I don't see why they'd release a note 2 GE. It doesn't really make sense
Yeah I guess so too

I doubt they'd release a Google edition of something with an exynos chipset.

I know it's built into stock android but didn't know if Samsung left it alone when doing it up in tw or if it's still there.

Pretty sure it's gone. Looking for the article that mentioned accounts.
That's a bummer would really like to keep games separate other users

I have heard that Samsung has implemented multi user accounts on 4.3 so this tablet should come with it but don't quote me on it lol

I can see it on my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 WIFI version. but its no where to be found on the P605 Hong Kong version. I am in the USA. I am still on J6. I keep trying OTA update but it says all updates are already installed.

Same as those of us in the UK, my guess would be that we are all going to stay on MJ6 until the new KK gets rolled out.
Yes I supose but I do have a wifi version 4.3 and it has multi user

Hello, somebody mentioned that the Note 10.1 2014 is just a larger version of the Note 3. Are the same Lecture Notes and S Note apps on the Note 10.1 2014 available on Galaxy Note 3?
Eh Lecture Notes is a 3rd Party app you get it from GPlay I use it beats the hell outta S Note IMO

Using Samsung Milk in the UK
Just use a VPN such as TunnelBear and select a US connection, also you will need log out/remove your Samsung account, as I assume Samsung must use that to identify which country you reside in.

Samsung does not make their special music promos available for their tablets and lower end phones. It will not work and you find find it unless u have a Galaxy S2, s3 or s4. or note 2 or note 3

Ok, I am starting to dig the milk player. I have found an underground hip hop station that plays hip hop artists and not mainstream guys.
I bought some ebooks with the Samsung credit we got with this device. But I really don't want to read on such a large tablet. Can I access these books on another device? I would rather read on my Nexus 7, but I can't figure out a way to get my books there. I couldn't even find a way to access the on Samsung Note 8 tablet. It doesn't seem reasonable to sell books that can only be read on a single device, so I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out how to access content I purchased on another tablet.
Thanks

There are applications that provide this option, though your device must be rooted.

Can you share more info? Point me to the apps? My Nexus 7 and my Note 8 are both rooted. My Note 10 isn't, but I willing to root it if it helps.

Facebook? That's the only reference I can find to "fBook".
Btw, I tried installing Samsung Hub on my less than one year old (rooted) Samsung Note 8 and it installs but crashes on opening. Same result as on my Nexus 7 with build.prop edited to look like it's a Galaxy S4.
It is just insane that Samsung sells ebooks that aren't compatible with their own tablets.
How can I ever trust Samsung enough to purchase anything from them if what they sell isn't even compatible between the same family of devices of the current generation?!?

FBook is an ebook application.

"Rooted" being key here. They expect it to tun on the stock system. They cannot allow for hundreds of rooted options.

Right on the rooting, nothing special. FBook is the reader I used, it is no longer available. There are others that provide that option though.

Are you saying the reason the Samsung hub app crashes on my Note 8 and Nexus 7 is because they are rooted?
I still have made no progress accessing my ebooks I purchased on my Note 10.1 (2014) on any other device,
Any help is appreciated.

It's probably framework dependant just like a lot of the TouchWiz apps. The note 8.0 should have Samsung hub by default though, assuming you haven't debloated it.

I agree the Note 8 *should* have Samsung Hub, since it is a current generation Samsung device in the same family of tablets, but it doesn't. And it is not even listed as compatible on Samsung page:
http://www.samsung.com/us/samsunghub/
Which is why I'm at a loss why anyone would trust Samsung to buy anything from them if their own tablets aren't even compatible?

Are the books as single files? As in can ou browse for them on your device?
Or is it purchased through an application?
I use a combination of google drive + Moon Reader to achieve some thing similar.
All my books are on the google drive and moon reader + syncs my reading position so I can read on
Various devices
