I have Paranoid Android 2.57.6 and it is excellent compared to FreeXperia/CM10 alone. The only problem is that the panorama function on the camera doesn't work. It's simply a blank screen.

I actually really like senseui, basically the contacts: there are no apps that come close imo. The problem is, for a while now I;ve been using CM and i got used to lcd.density=200.
The problem: I tried a couple of senseUI roms with the same setting, whilst a lot do in fact work fine with 200 DPI (i dont mind the graphic glitches i can get used to those). It doesn't look the same, on my CM rom 200 DPI looks pretty, the fonts get smaller as well. I'm not sure what happens in SenseUI roms with 200 DPI, things do get smaller, but the fonts somehow mostly remain the same size? As far as I can tell, everytime any writing is involved my eyes go "WHEW wtf that is huuge!"
Furthermore, 180DPI seems to be a bit smaller, but satisfies my desire for smallness overall. But random things crash all the time (mostly senseui stuff), like clock. so here's the question:
what is the deal with SenseUI and density changes? IS there any Sense ROM that does 200 properly (as CM and others do). More importantly: is there any senseui ROM that does not cause crashes upon changin density to 180 or 190?
Pictures
OK here are the screenies for comparison. Besides the ROM being different, and thus the skin also, all other settings are identical.
The senseUI rom used here is RCMixHD v3.5 (Rotation and A2SD+), the result is indentical on InsertCoin, as well as Non HD sense Rom's that I have tried (Stock for instance).
Note: The pic on the left is SenseUI ROM (density=190), the one on the right is CM7 (density=200)

The difference is more marked for me in the gmail app for instance...
SenseUI ROM (at lcd.density=190) Home screen: | CM 7 (lcd.density=200) Home screen:
..in the latter case it's obvious there is something wierd, because you can see the "ALL MAIL" label in CM7 but cannot in senseUI one. The difference gets worse for some but not for other apps, and it's more noticable on my phone (for me anyways).
it get better..
It gets.wierder actually. As I said, if and when i do try low number for density in sense ROM's i have used so far; here is the error (taken from RCMixHD v3.5 with rotate+a2sd as above, and lcd.density=180).

From googleing i found this error only pop up one other time, i.e. when some guy was trying to put senseUI apps into something that does not have the senseUI framework.
This only happens with the following: htc hub, clock/desk clock and if and when i click on that notification that says "<x> number of links found", note that with the latter one, neither people nor friends normally collapse at all, they function just dandy (usually). All other apps HTC or not work fine (e.g. htc friends as i said, and so does rosie in general as far as i can tell).
ETA: last paragraph
ok guys, im having an issue running wicked rom v7 w/ ktoonsez kernel, with graphics disappearing ie clock numbers, battery indicator, signal indicator etc., then they reappear. there is nothing in particular that precipitates this, it just happens randomly. ive never seen anything like this before and ive posted in the wicked thread but it doesnt appear that anyone else is having this issue, so i figured id post up and see if anyone has ever experienced this with maybe another rom. i cant figure this out for the life of me
heres what ive done so far but to no avail:
full wipe, blah blah, you know the usual
flash stock tar in odin, flash trwp tar in odin (start clean)
more data resets, cache/dalvik cache wipes, reflashing the rom
my logcat keeps throwing overlaylib errors (see below). not sure if this is even the issue, but it seems to be throwing this error alot. full logcat is attached. thanks to whoever can help me figure this out! :highfive:

Yeah man that's exactly what it was doing for me. Its almost like the screen flicker issue on aosp roms, except my graphics where flickering on and off. Any thoughts on maybe if it had something to do with the kernel or the rom itself? I seem to be the only one that had that issue with wicked rom. Wonder if I got a bad phone or something?

@op
When you flash the stock fw in odin, which version ate you using?
Wicked is based on LJ4 now, right?
I would start from scratch, redownload everything and use root66 ver of UVALJ4.
Then flash a newly downloaded wicked rom.
That should rule out the system being corrupt, unless you can make it happen before installing any other apps.
I'm thinking it may be some rogue app eating up your memory. When you see the problem its due to the mem being full. Just a guess.
Next time it happens, long press home and check out the memory being used.
Also try these in dev options: show cpu use, disable hw overlays, force gpu rendering.
Are you using the stock cable to connect to computer?

doc, ive flashed the stock lj4 in odin and started from scratch 3 times and it didnt help. this issue would start happening as soon as the phone booted, even before i installed anything. force gpu rendering didnt help and i dont recall seeing the option for disabling hw overlay (thought that was only on aosp?). and yes, i always use the stock cable. anyways, nothing seemed to help so im trying out slimbean now. i couldnt find anything relevant to me about the overlay errors i kept getting, but im almost certain it was the culprit. im still curious to know WHY i was getting those errors and no one else was. weird issue is weird lol.
I've tried different kernels, and disabling hardware overlays before. Weird to me how random it is. Seems like if it was a rogue app or something, otherwise it would happen on every rom.

The only thing I've found about overlaylib errors is that it is a compiling error, but I would think if that was the issue here, I wouldn't have been the only one experiencing it. Have you noticed a lot of ppl with this issue on other roms or just you?

I mentioned my issue in the liquid smooth thread a few weeks ago but nobody responded to it, I thought it was just me for a while.

Just a quick something else to try...
Disable screen rotation and see if that helps and check if it still throws all those errors In logcat.
Also try a different keyboard if that doesn't work.
Just guessing here but they should be pretty easy to try anyway!

I did the AWS mod on my i747m about 3 weeks ago and added an automatic NV Backup and Restore tool onto my phone so that I can automatically reset the NV if my battery dies or if I accidently restart. Since I did it, my phone hasn't died until sometime a week after doing the mod.
I booted up my phone when its was plugged into charger and let it load and it booted into the system fine and I can unlock the screen but after 30 seconds after the boot, the phone freezes and then restarts.
When it restarts, I hear 1 vibration but no screen activity almost like it cant boot properly and then I hear a second vibration about 5 seconds later and then it boots up again with the Samsung logo and the lock screen and its the same loop over and over again.
The only way that I can fix this is by booting into CWM and then clearing user data and then I have to start my phone from fresh again and redownload all my apps and reinstall the NV Backup and Restore from my SD Card and restore the AWS Mod NV Data until my phone dies again where I am forced to clear all my data again and then reinstall my apps etc.
Does anyone know at all what could be the problem?
I am pretty sure it isn't the NV Backup app because the week right after I initially did the mod i restarted a couple of times with no issue.
Does anyone know how I can check the boot process to see what causes the phone to freeze and then restart?

I consistently get an out of memory issue when running either the Evervolv or CM11 kitkat ROMs. The trigger seems to be the use of Feedly, combined with either rotating the screen or dragging down the status bar. Once my phone gets in this state, it usually takes a reboot to recover. The lockscreen will come on/off, status bar appears/disappears...
Feedly works on my other KitKat devices and I didn't have this issue before moving to KitKat on my inc. Is this a known issue? A limitation of our device?

I've not heard of this issue before. It wouldn't surprise me if part of it is due to lack of resources or the rest poor app coding.

This works on Nexus 5 Lineage OS?
I flashed on my nexus 7 but round icons are not shown why?
Hi.
I followed the steps and ended up in a boot loop.
What could be the cause of it
