I have tried 3 different adapters so far, and none of them did 1080p off my Note 10.1 2014, they only worked in 720p mode.. They did however provide 1080p off my Note 2 (N7000).
Can anyone tell me a good adapter (preferably one that you have tried or currently own) that does 1080p?
Hm weird my adapter does 1080p but only at 25hz. I thought it is a software problem. We just need an app or settings to configure the hdmi out...

Anyone know if the Note 2 will support video out? HDMI or other..
720p if you want to see the phone ui, 1080p in full screen videos.
Via MHL at the resolutions kersh mentions (probably via the Allshare Cast Dongle too).
Probably using the 11-pin adapter used in the S3 I would think, rather than the standard 5-pin MHL adapter.
This one works on my Note. Should work with Note 2 too.
If you need analog - you can use this adapter + this RCA exit-adapter if you have old TV.
Sounds good, thinking about picking one of these up when they hit the stores.

I'm actually expecting that one will NOT work. Samsung went to an 11- rather than 5-pin arrangement for MHL in the S3, meaning that older adapters did not work with the S3, I would expect that they will use the same connection with the Note 2. I would hold off buying an MHL adapter for the Note 2 until it is confirmed one way or the other.
when ever i try and output my note 2 to my tv via the MHL adapter, it only ever goes 1080i, never 1080p. Is there a way i can force it to go 1080p?
Has anyone one bought a micro usb to HDMI adapter that actually work with their tablet? I bought one and did not work so I'm hoping people can recommend a working one. I'm wondering about the MHL 2.0 To HDMI 1080P HDTV Adapter but have not seen any reviews mentioning whether it works on the Note 10.1 2014 edition. Thank you.

I am not sure if this option would work. But maybe Google chromecast would be a better solution. Wirelessly send media to TV through your network with it possibly.

The Samsung One should Work with this tablet
Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk 4
You'll need an 11 pin MHL connector... We discussed it here.

And there is a link to the one that I know works.

chromecast is a great, inexpensive product but very limited compared to allshare or just using hdmi out.
i've rooted my chromecast and put it back in it's box in storage. that's all i've used it for so far.
Has anyone tried 1080p MHL output on the Tab Pro? (T520). I have an unofficial MHL adapter but I'm only able to get 720p output. Don't know if the problem is the adapter or some other thing. I cannot find any output setting in the menu neither. (running stock)
Yes the official Samsung MHL adapter can do 1080p @ 60fps most knockoffs will only do [email protected] or rarely [email protected] claim they can do 60 fps who knows..
I think wifi display is much better though
Hi can anyone help? I'm trying to find a HDMI adapter for my tab s2. Samsung recommends the et-h10fauweguj adapter but I've read I need the et-h10fauwegww adapter.has anybody tried any of these and did they work? I've heard aswell that the aspect ratio doesn't quite fit the TV so it has black Bars around the picture. Is that true. Thanks in advance. Mark

I got a fake one that works with Note 4. If it works with Note 4, it will work with the Tab S2. It's also true that you'll see black bars, but if you root and change the device resolution it will work perfectly, but you need to root.

My unofficial adapter outputs low resolution 4:3 picture to my 1080p displays, I'm rooted and would love to figure out how to get the appropriate AR/resolution working!

MicroUSB to HDMI
I have a Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T815NZWENEE ) which I am trying to connect it to a TV with an HDMI cable.
I have the ET-H10FAUWESTA (original Samsung) MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and when I plug in a HDMI-VGA adapter, I can display screen through a projector.
As soon as I plug in a HDMI cable instead of the VGA adaptor and connected it to a TV there was no picture.
I looked at Chromecast or other wifi dependent methods is not an option
Any ideas?

@pmenzies ... I connect my Chromecast directly to the TV with HDMI connector. Works perfectly with my S2 T810.

I think the Tab S2 don't have the MHL connection as the Note 4 (look in the Specs at the Connectivity topic) .
My Note 4 works but my new TaB A 10.1 doesn't. With MHL feature you can connect your MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and plug in the TV. To connect the Tab S2 mostly use the Chromecast device or Ezcast device (Miracast).
WiFi Direct could work with some smart TVs.
Edit: Surprise me that http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_s2_9_7-7438.php shows : USB microUSB v2.0 (MHL TV-out)
But Samsung web site doesn't show MHL in specs like it shows for Note 4 smartphone.

How do you do this ?
Plase let us know, this would add so much more functionality to the tab.
