The WhatsApp Theory - Bada Software and Hacking General

So, here I present my theory
WhatsApp uses Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP). When a user registers with WhatsApp, he gets his number as a username or JABBER ID. WhatsApp uses the Jabber Protocol to connect its users. Now, if we are directly able to connect with the Jabber Protocol, then we may be able to connect with the WhatsApp users. With a lot of research, I was able to search out for a Jabber client for our Waves. This client is BombusQD. You can download it upon Googling it. I will carry out further tests after registering with Jabber and try to connect with WhatsApp. If anyone can carry out these tests, may proceed. Please reply underneath
Best Regards

Theory is plausible. I'll have to try this out.

I have been waiting for several days for registration approval from jabber.ru, the jabber client in BombusQD
Please try and register at www.jabber.ru and if you get any registration approvals please reply back

The last post was pretty useless
I REACHED A CONCLUSION!
I don't think that we would need to register for Jabber, a fact I realised after reading a blog last night at
http://blog.maarten.abbink.me/2012/02/why-whatsapp-messenger-wont-work-on.html?m=1
I request you all to go through the same. We will be needing an android mobile for this. Through the android mobile we will install WhatsApp and obtain the code, that is the password according to Maarten's blog
Now, in the end after obtaining that code via text message we will try to login into WhatsApp via Jabber. WikiPedia says, that WhatsApp registers the usernames as [email protected]
To conclude,
if the phone number is "xyz"
then I need someone to try and login using any jabber client (BombusQD, Abium, full list at https://xmpp.org/xmpp-software/clients/) with
username: [email protected]
password: code received via text message
Thank you for your patient reading

Even if we use Jaber, one must know the server and port

when you will login you only need the username and password, which I have mentioned. Jabber will automatically connect to the WhatsApp servers. In fact, WhatsApp uses Jabber servers
WhatsApp messenger uses these ports: 5223, 5228, 4244, 5242 and 5222
Did anyone try it?
I don't have an android smartphone

well, WhatsApp seems to be quite clever
I borrowed my friend's Android phone, re-installed WhatsApp, but during the verification, it did not send any code
I googled on how to find this activation code and found out from the WhatsApp site that activation code is "dictated" only when it is unable to send a message
read this
https://www.whatsapp.com/faq/bb10/28089216
Its a really long process. As I don't have an android smartphone, we would now need to disable the SMS communication, which can be done using some codes
If anyone has an android phone, only then this project can be successful

The WhatsApp activation code is NOT the password used by it as the Jabber password. According to Wikipedia:
WhatsApp software automatically compares all the phone numbers from the device's address book with its central database of WhatsApp users to automatically add contacts to the user's WhatsApp contact list. Previously the Android and S40 versions used an MD5-hashed, reversed-version of the phone's IMEI as password, while the iOS version used the phone's Wi-Fi MAC addressinstead of IMEI. A 2012 update now generates a random password on the server side.

With the help of Akshat, a Bada developer who is interested in thus project, I started working on the development of a .jar file that will connect us to WhatsApp. We will be using a source code (http://www.mediafire.com/download/8oz4c3b27nx4366/WhatsApp_Messenger.src.zip) to make a .jar file from scratch. Is anyone good at or knows Java?
Best Regards

How to solve these Java errors?
I am still on this project. WhatsApp has tightened it's security after some updates, as you would have noticed.
I am now trying to solve the errors that we get during the S40 version of the WhatsApp. Ca anyone tell me how can I solve these errors?
This is the error I got:
"This application caused an error and may not function correctly.
java.lang.NoClassDefFound Error: javax/crypto/spec/SecretKeySpec"
I am attaching the WhatsApp.jar file that works on S40

Huge SMTP problem with WM 6.1

Unfortunately I narrowed this down to the WM 6.1 upgrade. I can no longer send emails.
+ T-Mobile Dash (aka Excalibur aka HTC s620)
+ RUU_Excalibur_WM61_Kavana_080408_WWE installed
(generally working wonderfully!)
+ 2 different Pop3/SMTP email accounts (my own domains, hosted by godaddy)
+ EMail settings set-up on the dash (not using My Tmobile as a gateway)
(SMTP uses authentication, no ssl and port-80)
Emails were working just fine for 2 years under WM5, 6. After I installed 6.1 ... receiving worked fine, and still does.
Sending emails would work for a few hours, then I would get a vague error message (error - something is wrong - check the settings or that the network is working)
For a few days I was able to sometimes get it to work if I toggled SSL for outgoing. But no more.
The only way I can get emails to send is to delete the email settings, and re-set it up again as new. Then after a few hours it fails again.
After hours and hours of playing and on the phone with tech support - we've determines that the settings are (and always have been) correct and that there are no network or hosting problems. And the phone is brand new.
The email sending worked fine until the 6.1 upgrade.
Any suggestions, insights, help, therapy, anything???
Thanks!
Please someone help out - I'm going nuts.
You should change your password because if you have been using unsecured smtp for 2 years it's likely someone has already stolen it. Turn on SSL and keep it on ;-)
Not sure why it would fail after a few hours though.

Not to sound too sarcastic - but can you be a little more vague? ; ) "tweak the settings" ... hmm. OK.
After hours and hours of troubleshooting (and I'm no newbie) with the mobile provider, hosting company etc ... I think we've reset, reconfigured just about everything.
The only thing that works - temporarily - is if I delete the entire email account from the phone, and the create a new (identical) one. It will work for a few send/receive sessions, then the same sending problem will occur ... never to recover until I repeat that process.
If anyone has any specific experience with this problem (or specific suggestions) - I'd really be grateful !
lemme get everything straight first, your saying you upgraded to 6.1 correct? and now your email account wont let u send emails correct? well is your EDGE working? can u still get on the internet with no problem?

yes yes yes yes yes
After 11 hours of testing and troubleshooting over the past 2 weeks - we've definitely covered the basics.
In case you were wondering
+ the phone is turned on
+ I am pressing the buttons on the device as opposed to trying to use tele-kinetic ability (which can be inconsistent)
+ My eyes are opened and are in working order
+ I made sure I was in no tunnels, caves, canyons or steel-concrete enclosed bomb shelters
+ I verified that my network provider (T-Mobile) did not go out of business, or suddenly remove all their cell towers
+ I verified that most my 2,000 email contacts (potential recipients) have not been abducted by aliens who also deleted their email accounts.
Also
+ This is happening with 2 different email accounts.
+ The Pop3 and smtp servers are indeed working - since
a. I am able to put the settings in my PC, and another phone device (a older sprint phone that allows me to setup pop/smtp) - send/recieve emails work fine
+ Emails were working fine before I upgraded to WM 6.1
**
+ EMails worked ok for the first 2-3 days then the trouble started.
+ I can only get emails to send now when I delete the account, and create a new one (with identical settings). This lasts for a few hours before it fails to send.
+ I've been on the phone troubleshooting with tmobile and my hosting company for hours on end - trying all sorts of funky settings and tests ...
They hosting company seems to have determined that the smtp request is never getting to them; tmobile verified in great detail that the network is working.
Their idea was something along the lines of "the email client part of upgrade of WM 6.1 seems to be deleting a security certificate" or something .
I dunno about that - but it is clear that something is going on with the email client. The network, and email hosting is just fine, as are the settings.
Hope some of this helps - and that someone has some ideas I can try.
Oh - and just to pre-empt some suggestions:
1. No I won't change to linux, a mac or an iphone - but thanks for the suggestion.
2. I have checked out that I have not transported into an alternate reality, where everything is pretty much the same as in this reality - except my emails don't work.
3. Yes, I am using a Dash/HTC s670 - the battery is charged, and I have powered down, taken the battery and sim card out, hopped on one foot and made sure I have no other software running (even on all my pc's) before I powered it back on.
4. Yes, I can make phone calls and do everything else
5. yes, I have an internet connection - and the proper one (GPRS - but have also tried this via the wifi connection.
6. No I am not talking on the phone or browsing the internet during the ill-fated email sending.
7. I am pretty sure there is no conspiracy between t-mobile and my hosting company to block me from sending emails - only from this phone.
8. There are no unusual limitations or special issues with my hosting company about sending these emails.
9. I've tried sending to myself, others, multiples etc ... no difference.
10. It happens with more than one email address/domain.
Thanks for all the help! Sincerely. Thanks. I really need to solve this.
not sure if this helps, but i too cannot send via smtp, but one thing i found out is the email account ( as i found out) i setup (which was my ISP's ..Cox Communications) blocks smtp transmissions sent via proxy (which is what you go through via edge or gprs,...not sure about wi-fi though).

I had tmobile level-3 tech support (aka as their obi-wans) conferenced in with my hosting company (godaddy) - and tmobile specifically asked about the proxy issues. Nope. Nice suggestion
PLEASE note everyone - MY issue is not merely "I can't get my emails to send" ... as if I am trying to figure out the proper settings or trying to get email sending to work for the first time
Emails USED to send until I upgraded to WM 6.1 ... for 2 years
If my settings were wrong, if there were some incompatibility between the network and my smtp server then my emails would NEVER have sent.
As it is ... they send sometimes (when I set up the email client with a new account).

A lot of the senior members here (including yourself) seem to know what they are talking about and are quite helpful - despite many others answering without bothering to read the question. So thanks
I honestly and at a brick wall here. The only thing that seems to make sense is some sort of concept that involves my smtp settings being corrupted (upon saving or sending) ...
And I mean corrupted - since they work consistently for a few hours and then stop.
Other than that, I haven't a clue - neither do tmobile nor my hosting (and for once I feel sorry for them - since the time they put in trying to troubleshoot far exceeds any profit they might make from me).
i dont know if this will work or not but its a suggestion since I also own a domain with Godaddy. Sometimes even my SMTP fails though I am using WM6 and not WM6.1 so this is what i have done.
Goto www.mobisync.com and setup ur account with them. They support upto 5 accounts. Then configure ur settings according to the site.
There are 2 advantages for this. 1 is that you get push email in real time and when u send email its using mobisync servers and not the godaddy SMTP.
Also it totally free.
i am using this with no problems till now. I suggest you try it and its very easy to setup mobisync on ur cell phone...will probably take 30sec or less.
Hope this helps...cheers mate..!!
Hi - thanks for chiming in ...
actually I am not looking for "alternatives" - I am looking to solve the problem with the email client. If I need to send emails I can indeed send from my PC, or even webmail from my phone or just about anywhere else.
Sure, I can use some sort of network based email, IMAP or Microsoft exchange or whatever.
RIght now I want to solve the issue at hand. It's sort of like my trying to get about microsoft word on my PC working again, and getting suggests to type my letters in a text editor or other client. I *know* other ways exists - but this way is the one I prefer and it should be working. Clearly there is a problem and I'd like to solve it.
If no one else is experiencing this issue (in this forum), then I'll have to consider something specific with my setup/network etc .. but then again 6.1 has not been out long enough to make that assumption yet.
I appreciate the ideas and help - keep them coming - eventually we'll hit upon something.

Since you can initially send, your setting must be at least basically correct. It sounds more like the SMTP session is not being closed correctly, since deleting and recreating (which would be effectively a close) works. I would guess WM6.1 thinks the connection is still active but the server has closed it. You really need a trace of the SMTP session.
As a work around/test you need is another completely different SMTP server you can authenticate with. I suggest your home ISP. They should have one you can authenticate with for use when travelling. Try it with that. If it works there is a compatibility issue between the Godaddy SMTP server and WM6.1 so you will need a trace for us to figure out what is going on. If it doesn't work there as well, well we still need that trace.
Darn, your suggested sounded promising - and I did indeed spend about 2 hours chasing it. I tried smtp from my cable op - who is my broadband isp ... no luck - same problem. Then I got on the phone with t-mobile, using their smtp settings. Same issue.
We're all stumped.
Not sure how to do a trace of the smtp session from my device.
Again - this worked for 2 years (until WM 6.1) - at which point sending worked for a few hours then not. The only way it works again is if I create a new account with the same settings.

It's OFFICIAL- WM 6.1 is the problem !
Damn. Damn.
OK - after yet ANOTHER 4 hour marathon session with Tmobile tier 3 support - in trying everything ... SMTP email still does not send reliably
(again - starting with WM 6.1, emails simple do not send - no timeout no port errors, bounceback, security issues). The only way it sends is if I create a NEW account with the identical settings. Then it will work for several hours 2-4 ... then emails go back to not-sending.
Finally after a total of over 30 hours of testing in the last 8 days (yeah, I've got a full time job too, and had been traveling!) ... I had to go to a tmobile store and side by side test with a WM 6.0 dash. Same everything - settings etc. 6.0 works. 6.1 not.
And where would I officially report this?
Even more of a tragedy since I absolutely loved everything else in 6.1
PLEASE PLEASE (whoever does these things) - please post a fix or rom update!
Please!

I would recommend waiting for an official release from T-Mobile or HTC before filing any bug reports.
"Hi, I downloaded a hacked beta rom from some website and it doesn't work right" doesn't usually get them moving fast.
Well, I sort of meant reporting this to whomever ported. I honestly don't know the logistics here of what ROM I have or how it came about. the point of confusion (on this point) is that the announcement and link for the 6.1 release actually appeared on a T-Mobile affiliated blog or site (forget which) - giving the perhaps mistaken impression that this was some sort of official release for the Dash - only that T-mobile was not yet supporting it. I definitely claim ignorance here.
My comment about reporting the bug - was more about letting the person/team who "ported" WM 6.1 to the Dash know about this issue. I am sure they would want to know (especially if this issue was specific to the port). Just because I posted a thread on this issue does not mean that the right people know about it yet - which is why I mentioned it.
Thanks
smtp problem with wm 6.1
is there a solution to this problem yet? I have the same problem since upgrading to 6.1. I've noticed that it appears to be related to smtp authentication. It seems to work ok on an earthlink account i have, which does not require smtp authentication.
No solution yet. Problem still persists (though intermittent). Seems to be related to 6.1 not resetting or saving a security certificate or something. But I am no expert. All I know is I can no longer rely on my Dash for SMTP email since upgrading to 6.1
i'm having the exact same issue
i have my phone setup for imap with gmail and i can receive perfectly fine, but it wont send
i delete the account and recreated it and it worked but after a few hours stop sending again
any fix?

SMTP Port

How can i tell the phone to use port 26 instead of port 25 for SMTP?
I am not seeing an option for ports.
Just put the port number on the end of the mail server name, e.g.
Code:
smtphost.mydomain.com:26
That should sort it

Now i am puzzled as to what else it could be, since i emailed from this very account before and pop3 has not seized working. :/

My webhosting service, i can either use SMTP on port 26, or SSL SMTP on port 465, neither works with the my.domain.com:26 or :465
Trying to do the autodetection when setting up a new account fails to detect settings, and i matched what i use on the phone with my desktop client's setup and all i see is identical, with exception of a port field, and the phone client does not have an option to check TLS, which is checked on the desktop client's settings.
after a few iterations i found the problem, they tell me for manual setup to use username+mydomain.com as username for smtp server, but in the windows .reg files they used [email protected], so i changed the username to that and put the port back on with :26 and now it works. the + for the @ still works for pop3 and imap, not so smtp
Tried that and it still says sending failed.

Just noticed the above comment from one of your earlier posts.....and another idea came to me
Apparently (though I've never experienced it myself), there is a known issue with Windows Mobile 6.1 and SMTP; it throws an error of "The messages(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again". If that's the error you were referring to, you may want to check this out.
Also, have you tried changing the username/password for the SMTP so that the username is with an "@" rather than a "+" (or vice versa ) to see if that makes any difference?
OK, that's me all out of suggestions - hope you get this sorted soon!!! Sounds like you're close, but not quite 100%
Mark.
The switching of + to @ to match what they had in their registry files to be merged on a windows computer did fix it.
I checked out your link and it's interesting since i did not have the :26, and so the send failed, i fixed that and i can email ever since, i hope the guys on that link are wrong, so i don't have to recreate it, from looks of it they are wrong, since it failed on the first try without the :26 ;P
So let's hope it stays this way, thanks for the link, if it does seize to work, then i know what to blame and delete and recreate it.

[Q] Gmail-recent activity notification on phone

Hey guys, before I begin I want to say yes I did a search on XDA and searched around Google for about an hour and couldnt find an answer.
Im wondering if it is possible through your phone to check recent activity or if its possible to get a notice if someone is trying or has accessed your Gmail account from another computer. yes I know if you log into gmail through a browser you can scroll down and click recent activity and see all the ip address that have accessed your account. I spend about 90% of my time on my phone and rarely use a computer so having a notification on my phone would be very useful.
Thanks guys

Nope. Your only choice is a browser. However, if you use 2-step authentication and a good password, you should be safe.

Could you logon via the phone's browser to check recent activity like you can from a desktop's browser? I haven't heard of a capability of that nature with the exception of accounts via a corporate server. That is not to say that is does not exist. I'm just unaware of it.

Go there and go through the setup. Note the following:
1) When they say "lose your phone/these codes and you won't be able to access your account", THEY MEAN IT. If you lose Google Authenticator/the phone number you SMS to, your backup phone number, AND the codes they give you, you are BONED.
2) Any program or device that logs in directly to your account (Chrome Sync, Cloud Print, your phone, Trillian, PBXes, etc.) will need an application-specific password. There's instructions on how to do this, but you will not be able to retrieve said password once you have generated it and clicked the "hide password" button.
3) You will have to enter the generated code on your phone at each new browser you try to log in to your account from, both the first time, and every 30 days.
Try this one: SignMeOut
as featured on Lifehacker "Sign Me Out Helps You Track Unauthorized Access to Your Gmail and Facebook Accounts" and Comments.

I use the internet from the mobile network. He did not have a my phone in hand so this is very strange.

Log out your e-mail [gmail or anything] from account setting and change your account password.
If someone has your email id logged in their mobile then he/she can have all your contacts, mails, browsing history, and a lot of things.
Better change your password and log out account from all connected device. Login after password reset.
the place where she/he is spying you activity is google this myactivity/google/com you will find out what is my recent activity on YouTube chrome google search etc
Now you need to find active session on Google account just google it go to my account google com>security it will give you details about your account login in which devices just remove suspicious device
I will do what You're saying and i hope this work.

Note10+ move from Samsung Cloud to Onedrive -> server fault

All,
Today I received the firmware update for my Note10+ that contains the OneDrive integration. As I already have an Office365 subscription with 1Tb storage in OneDrive, I wanted to move there for backup. However, when I go through the Microsoft account linking part (enter Microsoft account, password, security code, password again), the app returns to the initial welcome screen with a message: server fault, please try again later.
Anyone else who has this error, or were you able to link the Samsung Cloud to Onedrive yet?
I have the exact same problem
i got the beta UI today and i was able to log in on first try. unlocked 10+ . already had onedrive. i use the microsoft authenticator and i had no issues .

Thanks for your feedback! I will try soon, as I have reported the issue with Samsung as well. I'll wait for their response before disabling/re-enabling the 2 factor auth.

Seriously, what a disaster... Here my journey with the Samsung Support team...
- I initially made a call explaining the problem. The support agent told me that the integration is not active yet. I explained that a specific extra firmware was released in the Netherlands, explicitly reporting this feature in the release notes, so it would really surprise me if it was not available. The support agent then told me that the tech person was unavailable, but that they would call me back, the same day.
- I never received the call back, so I logged a question via Samsung Members. I got a response on that, telling me I had to send a screenshot and a log file (after enabling high level debug logging) on help.content.samsung.com
- I made a screenshot, but the log that was mentioned in a standard log enable procedure was not present on my phone, so I sent them again a clear description of the error, with a screenshot of the error, and a screenshot of the logs that were present, together with the question which of the logs shown they would need.
- This request was immediately answered that the samsung tech dept was going to look into it.
- Then I received an answer on the support site, telling me I had sent an invalid log file, and attached was the same procedure which was incorrect. I then looked for the 'reply' button. But wait.... THAT IS NOT PRESENT! You can only pose one question on which you receive an answer, but a customer is not able to reply to the thread again. No case numbers, whatever, to reference the question.
- So I called the support desk again, referring to the question on the support site. The response of the agent: "Unfortunately we can't see that, can you explain your problem please?" I then told her that Samsung first promised to call me back, which they didn't, and I told them that my problem description with the question about which logs to be sent, was not read at all (trust me, I am a tech guy, I know all about problem descriptions and logs) and I received a default reply instead. The support agent responded, "but we are not allowed to call back". After a few more words, she told me, "please hold on", and I thought I was put on hold.
- BUT NO! The agent actually put me back in the queue, as she probably did not want to talk to me anymore! So I ended up with another support agent, who I had to explain the problem again from start. I was again told that the tech person was not available. I asked if he could call me back when he was, but again it was confirmed that Samsung support is not allowed to call customers... Like WTF... They can't call back people who bought their most expensive flagship phones?? The support agent then advised me to call the Account department. I asked if she could transfer me, but of course, she could not.
- So I called the Account department. I AGAIN eplained the problem, and the Account guy told me that that made sense, as the Onedrive service is not available in Europe yet. I again explained that Samsung explicitly released a separate additional firmware update with this feature in the release notes. He told me that he would email me some information and when I have received the information, I could call back and I would directly speak to the person who knew all about it.
- At this point I was so pissed by how this went, I disabled the two-step authentication on my Microsoft account, and I could indeed connect to Onedrive!!! The only problem now is that the Settings give an error when backed up.
- But I decided to give them one more call to see how they would respond. And I indeed got the person on the line who her colleague referred to earlier. She told me she had sent me an email telling me what log to send. When I asked her the time and date of that email, she mentioned a time which was half an hour before I even created the request. As I own the email server on which the email should be delivered, I could check the logs there, and no email was received at that moment. She did mention the name of the log file though. However, a log file I have, that mostly resembles what was requested, was in a Gear folder and contains mainly logging about the Gear services. At this moment I told her that the problem was fixed by temporarily disabling the two step verification on the Microsoft account, and I asked her if the service was indeed unavailable in Europe, as her colleague told me. She told me that the service should be available.
Conclusion:
On all ways of contacting Samsung, there is no way in responding on a reply, whether it is in Samsung Members, on the support site, or via email. One answer from Samsung should apparently be enough, and Samsung actually does not want to talk to customers (as one of the agents just transferred me away). The support staff tells me there is no way to get in direct touch with the tech staff. There are no procedures for complaints, they are not allowed to call back customers...
When you look at how Samsung exposes their support (via Samsung Members, Facebook Chat, phone, etc.) it looks as they go the extra mile for their customers, but when you actually talk to them, you end up in a non-flexible inefficient non-motivated support maze....Way to go, for flagship fans....
Ok... I'm a little more calm now...
My apologies for my rant....
please, who migrated samsung cloud to onedrive could confirm if the files appear on windows 10 PC in the default system folders or backups appear in another specific folder? I have Xbox shared with a friend and I don't want him seeing my cellphone stuff on his Xbox ... Can the vault be set up to save things on it?

I got OneDrive connected (I did not want to say 'working'), but I can't find any backup related items in the standard OneDrive folders, except that the Gallery sync can go there (but only from internal memory, not from SD card). The only thing I notice is that when going to the Samsung Cloud settings page, various links go to the OneDrive app instead of Samsung folders.

Exactly, my sync was not working, I removed everything and redo the sync and returned to normal, really only appears in windows the gallery photo folder, the other things that backs up (files) does not appear, anyway I stopped sharing My Microsoft account with a friend on Xbox, I didn't want him seeing my photos and videos on his console.
I disabled this option and just went back to old fashioned Onedrive with camera upload.
Since 2011 I have had all my photos automatically backed up to the Camera Roll folder but with Samsung integration it puts photos in Samsung Gallery folder and no option to change that I can see.
I want to continue with my photos in the same Camera Roll folder and not have them go somewhere else and have to manually move them.

Does it use an app folder or need full access to the entire OneDrive account?
OneDrive for Business
I have an Office 365 account which includes 1 TB of storage in OneDrive. When I try to enble "link Samsung Account with Microsoft account" within the Samsung cloud app, and enter my Microsoft username/email its says no such account exists. I had this problem using the OneDrive app on my Windows 10 desktop computer as well, but I solved that by deleting the OneDrive app that comes pre-installed on Windows 10 and installing the OneDrive for Business app. I could then sign in and backup to OneDrive on my desktop computer. Now on the phone, I have no problem signing into my account with the actual OneDrive app that came pre-installed on the Note 10+. That app lets me enter my Office 365 account username/email and on the OneDrive app, but not on this linking page for Samsung cloud. Any ideas on a workaround would be appreciated.

All,
Today I received the firmware update for my Note10+ that contains the OneDrive integration.

I finally managed to get the connection working. It turned out that you can only connect using Microsoft's own Authenticator app. Using auth codes from third party apps give problems.
However, I ran into another issue. It turns out that the gallery sync to OneDrive does not support files > 1Gb. I had some video's I recorded, and they did not get synced. Samsung's response was: upload them manually to the OneDrive folder and they show up in the Gallery. But come on...
Hi to all. I am trying to connect Samsung cloud with one drive on my Samsung Galaxy S10e. The problem is that I have enabled two factor authentication on my Microsoft account and when I am doing all the steps the app keeps asking me for my password after the verification and it cannot pass that page and i cannot connect . If i disable the two factor authentication on my Microsoft account the app works well, but when I re-enable the two factor authentication after the login the app keeps saying that there is a problem and it cannot sync. Any ideas?

Hi I found a solution that works!!!!
Download the Microsoft authentication app. Remove other 2FA app from your Microsoft account and keep only the Microsoft authentication app.
Do a reset on one drive app on your phone (delete data from this app) and the re connect one drive using Microsoft authentication app.
Then connect you phone to your computer and copy all of your photos from your computer to the dcim folder on your phone.
Then move or delete the photos and videos from the Samsung gallery folder on your computer. Don't let any other files inside there. Let the phone make the sync.
There is a problem though. Samsung cloud cannot sync files like *.mov. Then check which files aren't sync. You can convert the files with your phone later by editing them within the gallery app.
Sorry for my bad English.
Hope it helps
