Hey guys,
This is my first ever boot animation, currently only tried on Samsung Galaxy S3 working perfect at 720x1280.
I got the idea when a friend introduced me to all of the cool features that are available to me on my android device and decided I would like to add personal touch to my device.
Instructions
Copy bootanimation.zip to your sdcard
Ensure that you backup your default boot animation before proceeding
Navigate to bootanimation.zip on your device and copy to /system/media

Nice first post mate!
The boot animation is pretty cool and a great attempt for your first ever Android modification... Glad you decided to put the time into finding out how the bootanimation.zip packages work natively instead of using some dirty 'bootanimation.zip kitchen'!
Well done,

I did not create these, unless stated. What I did was to try them out, modify resolution and see if they look good or bad or work at all.
All of the attachments have resolution already changed for Galaxy Nexus.
Installation is as usual: rename to Bootanimation.zip, then copy into /Data/Local
You can preview them on the phone: open terminal, enter su, enter bootanimation and press enter. NOTE: To exit the animation you need to press CTRL+C on bluetooth or USB keyboard, so connect it before executing bootanimation command.
You can also preview Bootanimations on PC with BootAnimationPreview
So here we go:
This one was found on XDA Forum here
It looks nice when upscaled to high res. The attachment name is: desirehd-bios-boot_yazayad.zip

Hey guys, thought I would upload a port I have completed of one of my favourite Bootanimations originally created by xcmeathead for the original Nexus One.
Images have been resized and optimized for the Galaxy Nexus screen without looking to grainy but unfortunately I only had images designed for a 480x800 display to work with.
Flashable zip is attached below.
For manual install extract the bootanimation.zip and replace the existing one in \system\media

looks awesome. Wish it were in HD!
Hi,
I do like the stock Bootanimation from Samsung Galaxy S and S Plus so I was searching for Stock Samsung.
The one from the Note II/ SII and SIV is one i do like so i was searching for it.
The Samsung Galaxy SII (mini) has the same resolution as our device (480*800) so its bootanimation works perfect!
At the attachment you can find the entire bootanimation (only for Stock GB atm = both files are qmg.. not supported in CM or CM based).
How to instal:
- Download ZIP
- Extract ZIP
- Put both files on your SDcard
- Move both to /system/media replacing the original ones (make a nandroid or backup from both files)
- Change permissions to RW-R--R--
- Reboot and Enjoy
What needs to be done:
- I cant get the Bootsound working from when changing it. I think it is kernel related but even with a kernel which supports custom sounds its not working..

Thanks man
I flashed the zip but my boot animation did not change! Help!
Sent from Rooted N4
These are the steps I did
unzip the file
look for bootanimation.zip at the unzipped file
with root privileges: go to /system/media and rename bootanimation.zip as bootanimation.zip.bak
with root privileges: copy the bootanimation.zip from (1) to /system/media
with root privileges: change the attributes as the old file
restart
Thx u.
Nice, but I wish something like this:
(imagine it with "Nexus" or "Android" instead of "marvel"
Hey XDA! Just want to bring a small contribution to this forum.
Here's a Watch Dogs boot animation that I have ported to our lovely Galaxy Grand i9082, or any device with 480 x 800 screen resolution.
It look's super cool because of it's elaborate style
