Hi im trying to port this supernexus rom for the i777: http://galaxys2root.com/att-galaxy-s2/supernexus-jb-rom-build-4-for-att-galaxy-s2-sgh-i777/
to my SGH-T989
If its possible please show me how to do it
If i cant how can I port the i9100 version?
HEY NOOB
I tried the i9100 rom on a t989 and bricked it never again will i do that mistake but i think you could go into the development section of forum and get a good dev to help you out . someone like allstar devs they are cool .
thanks
Thank you for replying I also bricked my phone once flashing a i9100 kernel
Are you guys serious? If you flash a ROM/Kernel from a different phone onto ours it will brick because of differing processors. There is a proper way to port ROMs from different phone with same resolutions though.

There's a port over in the i9505 section; though it doesn't meet your standards of "everything working."
Thanks but Im aware of that rom

I was just trying to be helpful; but in that case, I'll revert to trivial banter... I too would enjoy seeing a working port of MIUI for the S4. :highfive:
OK

Hi,
I stumbled upon this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536276
It seems to be a kitkat version for the CDMA version of the One V. I would really like to port kitkat to the primou version, i wonder: is it possible to port it? How? what will i need to do? I am desperate to get kitkat, to make it a less crappy phone...

You dont know how happy i am with this. Is there any place i can check the progress?
It is most likely very possible. But not advised at the moment. Give it some time to mature as a rom. The creator of the rom is a pretty talented individual and will squash the remaining issues it has in time. Then it will be ready for a real port!! Until then I would wait. But in the end it is up to you. Speak with the rom developer first and ask for permissions to port if you do decide to go ahead with the attempt to port.
we dont have a 4.4. kernel, unless you're making one.

not possible because only port will work for same android version like 4.4 to 4.4 not 4.2 to 4.4
and the most important thing is kernel which we don't have

We seem to do have an S-off, with that, can't we make a kernel?

the only thing S-OFF can allow that "benefits" kernels is making the boot partition larger. there's really no point in that though, unless someone ever makes a boot.img so large it needs a new partition.
Can someone explain in fair ease how to port MIUI v5 or V6 onto a AOSP Based ROM, like ShinyROM/CM11/OmniROM? Preferably in a GITHub format so Updates to MIUI and these bases update the whole package? Been fiddling with porting it and had no success and the official MIUI porting team instructions seem to not apply/im not grasping it as much as I should
Thanks in advance!
Bump?
Would be great to have a port of Miui 4.4, but seems that a people are not interested. A my friend tried to port but without success. I think that this is possible, but need help.
please port it if someone ever helps you. would be much appreciated!

I tried that first to be honest, but not from the guide directly, just guessing what might work, i know MIUI has init.d things that seperate it from AOSP
PS: Are you the same guy i saw over on MIUI forum?? (I'm XeoShion there)

Ok this is a topic for discuss on the porting of cyanogenmod 13 to our devices...i think that the porting is very easy to do because the only differnce between s6 and s6 edge plus are the screen and ram.
I try to boot cm (s6 version) but it doesen't boot .
Anyone could help us for making this possibile ?
Yes, please! We do need Cyanogenmod to our S6 edge+!
Nice progress m8.
Also, this thread much sense makes. Congrats.

We have only kernel sources like s6
Kernel sources of the g928f are released maybe that can help a bit
my opinion is that we must ask to some developer if he interesting port cm13 or cm12.1 at least for us..who wants do that?

obviously....all those who have already built rom's for edge+.... @BoBCatRoM @asc1977 @pierdebeer @IZI.Xav @kossiewossie @starbucks2010 @GigilinE @WerWolv and generally everyone we know...
i think this thread should be promoted in other areas-threads so as to see all developers wishing to express interest to built cm for us.. :good:
Well, as it seems, Samsung isn't going to release the source code, which means there's no AOSP... at least not stable for daily use.
Wait, you installed galaxy s6 version of cyanogen on your edge plus and it didnt hard brick without any modification? If so I might have a solid idea on how to run it but since this is such an expensive device i am really afraid

Just some int.d build.prop and permission twicks witch I used to port stuff on my old exynos s5,Im sure someone else tryed this but I need to know 100% that the g920 or g925(there is cm for that) cyanogen kernel does NOT brick our device and that it can still be resored via odin.Again this is an very expensive piece of equipment and my JTAG station just died last week.So I really am not in the mood for bricks now
EDIT:Why people say there is no source code everything I needed for porting could be found at opensource.samsung.com

Yes,but it deserves a try perhaps he missed something. But my question still remains: Does the s6 cyanogen brick the plus or the edge cyanogen brick the plus?
