Guys is there a way to connect an external source of Cellular data like a 3G modem for example to galaxy note 8.0(n5100) ?
Why a dongle?
When you have a SIM card slot on 5100.

Although I don't think it would work, but maybe the OP meant 5110 which is wifi only.

So I am using the Tmobile Galaxy S2 T989 with Magic Sim 28th Gen Non-cut dual sim adapter and even though the adapter works fine and I can switch sims, I get "Invalid Sim" when I try to use wifi calling on Tmobile Sim. Does having the dual sim adaptor break Wifi calling? I have tried factory reset, wipe data, cache and all the usual stuff but no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks....

I am also planning to buy a dual-sim adapter. Were you able to find any solutions to make wifi calling work also?
Thanks
I was told told with the software update you need a new Sim card for wifi calling... I had to get a new one from TMobile

I just moved over to t-mobile - so my sim is brand new. However - i get the invalid sim message as soon as wifi calling tries to start when using the magicsim. Its fine without.
Any ideas?
Update?
Were you able to fix this? I've got a cheap $5 eBay dual SIM adapter with a new T-Mo SIM and I'm getting ER05 when I try to activate Wifi calling.
Jamie
Nope, there is no solution to this problem. I guess the dual sim adaptor forms a layer between Tmobile SIM and the phone and thus the SIM can't identify itself properly. Hope someone finds a solution for this....
HELP Can this Phone with AT&T micro SIM?? and HOW? PLEASE i'll appreciate ur insights
I recently bought the phone and it won't work for an AT&T sim card...I'm aligning the micro sim with the conectors of the mini sim correctly, and also trying different APNs but I still get no reception and when I try to make a call it says that there is no mobile network. HEEELPPPP

I think P930 will be better than this cellphone.
maybe you can go to AT&T asking for a full-sized sim replacement
I have the AT&T model of the Note 4 using a nano-sim in an adapter from an iPhone 5. The nextgenphone APN built into the phone wouldn't connect to any cellular data and I had to manually enter the APN for the HSPA+ to get "4G".
Do I need to get a new SIM card for it? It came with a micro-sim but I've yet to use it because I had the other SIM which worked fine in other phones.

Makes sense. Thanks for the quick reply!
Have a good day sir!
I am in search of a dual sim phone, and I consider the zenfone 2 a good candidate.
However, it is vital to me that the phone can support a data connection from both sim cards.
Obviously not at the same time, but to switch data connection from one sim card to the other, without having to physically change the sim cards around.
Is this possible on the zenfone 2?

This is possible but sim2 only supports 2g speeds.

Thanks, that's quite a disappointment.
I thought today most other dual sim phones do support 3/4G on both sims?

You will not get data on sim 2 due to Asus blocking it with their firmware. Even though they used an outdated and subpar modem for sim 2, it is still capable of data. Their Zenfone Selfie does contain a dual active dual sim with lte on both sims this their "flagship" phone however used inferior hardware.
Unfortunately this may not be the phone for you in particular if you live in an area such as the U.S. or in Europe where they are shutting down 2G, it's already happening. This "flagship" dual sim phone will soon become a single sim for many of us.
I've actually talked to Asus about this and was told this is their "Flagship" phone and it is "Premium LIKE". I asked what he meant by "Premium Like" and he said it was comparable to other high end phones with compromises made on using lessor hardware. LOL, it's a knock off then, no different than buying "Prada" bags out of someones car trunk. I've had to deal with Asus on a couple of issues with their phone and have to say, I would NEVER buy anything again from them.
Hi,
in my area, there is no good mobile network coverage, so i have two sim cards of two different providers. Both are lte sim cards and have a data plan (flatrate). From my former smartphone, i know i can set up one card to use for data and maybe the same ore the other for phone calls.
Is this the same way with redmi note 5? Or can i use both cards at the same time and recieve calls from both cards without the need to change it every time?
If i have to switch the cards to use the data plans, is there a faster way, maybe a one click widget for the home screen to change?
When i drive around, i often have to change the networks, because of bad coverage for using the internet.
this phone also has same feature as your old phone, one for lte data and other for calling
So i can not recieve calls or sms from both of the numbers at the same time, only from the one i activated in the menu?
But both of the sim slots are lte ready? So i can switch the lte data from one card to the other - and i can get lte speed with both cards in both slots?

I saw some adapter cables some days ago, but canĀ“t find them anymore...
It was a small cable to use 2 sim and 1 sd-card at the same time.
Can someone give me a link or tell me the name of this adapters?
