Few other back end edits but of course you'd need boot files for the ls980 to get any ROM to boot. International or not

because sprint locks it down to their carrier state side. This work around allows for our g2 to use its hspa+ build in world phone signal and works with metropcs, att, and tmobile so far tested in the united states.:good:
Can someone tell me why there are people putting Roms on XDA that brick people's devices? XDA has taken a quite a fall since I was consistently using its service. Leave it to the Devs people. Smh

There's quite a few running around the ls980 forum. Beware the sehcuod. Bwahaha

no bandit here.
this will not brick your phone, i have done this myself. I will post photos of my build prop and photos of the phone here shortly as proof.
I have a LS980 SPRINT LG G2, that now is working on METROPCS (T-MOBILE) and my phone is using a D801 CM11 Build with modified LS980 BOOT Files.
I have everything working, with a metropcs sim card.
stay tuned for upload photos.

It shows 3g at a resting data state, and H+ kicks in when you activate data.

Yes Franco's kernel works. I always use M4 on cm9. I'm running it with the RC now.

Yes, Franco's kernel will work. I would recommend his nightly 196 linaro kernel (yes, linaro kernels work with non-linaro roms)

Forgive me for my lack of research, but what is Linaro?
Also, I know CM is essentially a souped up stock ROM, correct? Are there any customization features or anything of that sort built-in as well? I'm asking because of the devoted time it takes to backing up your current ROM, testing the new ROM, rolling back to your previous ROM, etc.. I just want to know what I'm getting into pretty much.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD make one where there are NO on screen buttons as well... I hate to waste screen space on the onscreen buttons when I have them on my device, as well as MANY applications including Grand Theft Auto 3 and more that doesn't, and probably cant ever have a fullscreen feature that hides them due to how the application functions!
Hey cdesai thanks that you port the jelly bean to our tab but will cyanogenmod 10 be 240dpi or 160dpi?, because Google said that 240 dpi is optimized for 7 inch tablet in android 4.1.1.

Thankfully 99% of the work was already done for the other one variants. That's the one advantage of a late release I suppose.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Did you flash with twrp? this is usually a sympton of it. CWM is the recommended recovery for this.

As you can see, I get mobile network state disconnected, when on evdo.
I'll try to get logs tomorrow.
Thank you very much for this. I checked out the one you posted in the cm 10.2 thread & that ran great, very cool that camera works now, after the reboot. Thanks again sbrissen

I get "no such file or directory" error if I try to use this to turn off the backlights. It worked in CM 10.2. Any other way...or something I am missing?

Anyone getting the phantom voice mail icon?
I can only get 4G, but it always says no service sprint. For mobile network state it just says "disconnected" and Service state is "Out of service" Even with 4G turned off I don't get any signal besides wifi. Otherwise rom is slick as ****
Can anyone confirm flashing this rom breaks sound? I flashed CWM, flashed this rom with gapps, booted up and got no sound at all. I'd previously had working sound on my AOSPA3+ rom moments before. I reflashed TWRP and restored my nandroid, and still have no sound. No matter what wipe or rom I flash my sound is broke. Anyone have this same issue?
@saboture my sound is still working fine

Did you verify md5? Maybe you got a bad download?
Did you try wiping everything (mount and wipe system, factory reset)? And then flashing again?
If those didn't help maybe flashing to stock and starting over again (I just had something weird on CM10.2 with my data that forced me to go stock and do a hands free activation to alleviate the mess)
It ain't bricked until it's bricked!! lol :good:
not sure if its related or not but even on my old 4.3 rom and even my 4.1 touchwiz room isn't working. Phone is just listed as out of service...
I know it's early, but will this ROM be made compatible with twrp? The reason I ask is because cwm doesn't support device encryption.

Reporting Bugs
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

@lilferraro: What's different in this ROM than the one available by nivron apart from being based on latest PG1 Boot-Loader?
There were issues with Camera & fingerprint (not to mention Bluetooth) in previous build of CM13..
Great to know that you would be maintaining weekly builds before Nougat (if by any chance) drops on Note 4.
Bluetooth connects to many of my devices, its just very choppy. Being that I use bluettoth a lot I reverted back to 12.1 until all Kinks have been ironed out. If need be I can help test whatever. Just let me know
Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
welp, i updated to the PG1 boot loader and base band then flashed the latest version of cm13. the phone got extremely laggy and hot. i did a clean install both times. Im currently reflashing the stock PG1 rom then reflashing the cm13 build in hopes that i maybe had a bad flash? I also tried to revert back to the older version of cm13 i made before i flash everything and the phone was glitching out and wouldnt even let me unlock the screen.
Im i the only one having these issues?
It sounds like you downloaded the wrong build. Use August build and you should be OK

I downloaded the latest version that was just posted.. I reflashed everything and at first it was still slow and super laggy. boot was taking 5 minutes. it would just sit at the cyanogen head spinning... So I cleared cache and davlik cache, Now it appears to be running better. fingers crossed that it stays that way. Im pretty much dedicated to cm so the last build i was on was one of nivrons last builds... I'm hoping your build stays stable so i can be on an updated version.
@lilferraroerrara I've tried 2 fresh installs and still my phone is still super laggy. It's also getting supper hot and often freeze and reboots. Sometimes it gets stuck on the boot screen and I have to clear cache to get it to boot. I'm getting less than 4 hours of battery.
Battery stats say miscellaneous is killing the the battery.
Any idea what can cause this?
I really don't want to do to stock TouchWiz but I might have to..
I tried a previous back up and it won't work now either.
Do I need to be on the pg1 bootloader/baseband?
I downloaded the latest September build. Should I not use that one?
