[Q] HTC One X stuck on bootloader unlock - HTC One X

Hi, i am got totally bricked HOX in APX mode. After burning eMMC partitions dump 512Mb. Phone succesefully got boot condition
Now i have phone that entering hboot immediately after powering on
I have such info on screen
*** LOCKED ***
ENDEAVORU PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.39.0000
CPLD-None
MICROP-None
RADIO-5.1204.162A.29
eMMC-bootmode : disabled
CPU-bootmode: disabled
HW Secure boot : enabled
MODEM PATH : OFF
Dec 17 2012, 13:59:37
FASTBOOT USB
After trying to unlock bootloader got right unlock bin
But after sending it in phone and confirmation if unlock
Phone restart and stay locked. As i understand there are no
RUU version to flash it. Direct access to hboot in partition table
Give me encrypted file so i think is unable to downgrade hboot
By direct access to emmc. Any ideas how to bring it alive ?

Download right ruu for your phone and flash. Check your CID first
In CMD write fastboot getvar all
You will get all info about phone and current software.

That's SuperCID.
I think that he was S-OFF before and dunno how he became S-On. That may be the reason unlockcode.bin isn't working for him.

Are you tryed to flash custom recovery like Philz and what is the result howw is recognised your phone in device manager?

Lol I think the device is now f+cked up.
Could be now some partition error and nothing except of changing mainboard will work

No , i am not shure that device with locked will run unsigned code. But will try tomorrow , device battery almost empty and i left it on charger. Maybe problem is HBOOT = 1.39 i need to find hboot with lover version for direct burning.

It is very interesting idea but I am make Bootable and flash-able from piece of plastic in APX mode.
Can you do the same? If you pretty shure that device unrecoverable tell me a reason.
B.r.

Was it before s-offed or with superCID?

Device are S-OFF and CID = 1111111 before , than device have been bricked by wrong hboot.
I am wrote dump from fully working device except board information region and software information region.
I thing need lower hboot version.

Can you try to write another Cid and see if it still works? If yes also try just flashing recovery or so through fastboot...so custom recovery...if that maybe works then with custom recovery and any backup you could get it working...if not hm...will think about what you could do

Hey, how did you get to that state? ADB won't work in hboot, but you can use fastboot commands. Plug the phone in hboot and make sure that it reads fastboot usb in red in the phone (if it reads HBOOT USB PLUG, just press power). Then, open a cmd and type:
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot getvar all
The first command will show your serial number if the device is detected, the second will prompt CIDnum, serial, IMEI and some other stuff. Paste the getvar all outcome in here and i will help you to find a RUU for your device. PLEASE DELETE THE IMEI from the list, it is not necessary and it might be dangerous.

Hey, I haven't found anything like your issue. But we can try to create a goldcard and flash an unbranded RUU and see what happens. I can lend you a hand over teamviewer if it is alright with you. This weekend will be kinda busy, but from sunday on we can arrange...
I have one too with the exact problem...any news ?

Again, exactly what does the bootloader say? When you get into bootloader there should be a bunch of text. Paste it here.

Find a compatible RUU from the link on the RUU thread. If you can't find one, make a goldcard; there's another thread for that. Then run an unbranded RUU.

Revert to stock for warranty repair 4.18

Hi,
I need to send my phone back for repair, I've got HBOOT 1.72 and am running the 4.18.401.2 firmware. I've tried running the RUU for the 3.14 version but it won't work.
There isn't an RUU for the 4.18 version yet.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get back to stock and unrooted?
Cheers,
Tom

I think you can use the appropriate nandroid backup from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975140 if an ruu is not available.

Thanks very much I managed to find this rom and do everything you said. It's good to see that you didn't have any issues when sending it back for repair. Hopefully mine will be perfectly fine

I hope you are lucky too. The relocked state could be a reason not to repair under warranty

OK I am right. Now dounload this RUU 3.14.401.31 lock your bootloader fastboot oem lock and run the RUU. If you receive the error I think you will not download nandroid backup for your base 3.14.401.31 from Nandroid backucp thread and restore via custom recovery. For the nandroid you will must unlock the bootloader again it will be good to have Unlock_token.bin. I think it will install the RUU without the problem but I am not so sure for this I write you the second way restore via nandroid. Good luck and report back.

Thank you for your help, my kind Sir!
It all worked! I just have one more question. I have reflashed stock recovery... and my bootloader says "relocked".
Shouldn't it say "LOCKED"?? Will i loose my warranty if it says "RELOCKED" since that means it was unlocked and than relocked...?

You can take the stock recovery from this OTA. But the RUU have nothing to do with recovery. To this moment everybody lock the bootloader and install the RUU the RUU erase everything on your phone and install everything(recovery rom etc...)
EDIT: you are on the latest RUU 3.14.401.31 and you are on the same main version have a little chance to receive error from the RUU for this but this is the easy way to restor or try the long way is nandroid.
Thank you

The utility reaches the screen where it starts copying stuff. .then gives an error 158 and tells me to find the correct update update utility. .
What am i doing wrong
I think the utility will not downgrade me from 4.19.708.1 to a 3.xx.708.xx ?? For that do we need to do a nandroid restore ? In that case can anyone point me to th one that will be applicable for me ? Since i have no clue on that. .
I just want to go back to 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 as the 4.2.2 update broke my camera focussing funtionality.

Not sure which firmware to flash
Hi,
Currently I have a At&T HTC One M8 with the following
Android Version 4.4.3
Rom Version 2.22.401.5
Software Number Android revolution HD 11.1
I wanted to flash the newest ARHD found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2694917
But I saw a few comments saying the WiFi doesn't work unless you have the newest firmware which is 3.28.401.6
So I went to the HTC One M8 firmware collection thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696282
My Phone is S-Off and the CID is the SuperCID 11111111, but when I ran the command "fastboot getvar all" the version-main: was blank as shown below
fastboot getvar all

Is there a reason it is blank?
I was a little concerned whether or not it was safe for me to flash the firmware 3.28.401.6

What Rom are you trying to boot into? 4.4.3 or 4.4.4?
You should be able to boot to bootloader. Hold power then immediately volume up and downat same time. When phone powers off release the volume up button and it should boot to boot loader.

having trouble flashing firmware from 2.22.401.5 to 3.28.401.7 or 3.29.401
Hey all, having trouble flashing either of the above firmware (3.28.401.7 or 3.29.401). Everytime I fastboot to RUU and try flashing, it fails. Any ideas as to what I'm missing? Let me know if I should provide more info.
