[Q] USB Bricked

Let me say upfront that yes I did read all of unrevoked replies in the dev section.
They mention that the 8/1 leak (ROM I'm currently running) may also have the same USB issues as SkyRaider.
When I plug my phone into my mac, I get a device error message and the option to ignore or (I think cancel). Anyway, if I click ignore, I can see both the SD card and internal storage just fine. I can also see my SD card from my phone and I know adb is working because I recently went into recovery, /mount systen, to remove the old flash.apk for the hulu hack.
So on the surface it appears like my phone is fine except for this error message. I'm curious if any other mac users receive the same error message (never got it before the 8/1 leak). With s-off coming as early as tonight, I don't want a USB brick. Thanks for any help.

Hey bro I'm a Mac user as well and was getting the same message. This has to do with a file that verizon included in the Rom to auto-run the device like an mp3 player on windows machines. You can remove this by rebooting into recovery-partition menu-mount system....now open up terminal and cd into your Android SDK/tools folders now run ./adb shell hit enter next type rm /system/etc/CDROM.ISO hit enter ....unmount system - reboot and your golden.

Hey thanks a lot for the info. I'll run adb shell when I get home and see if this solves the problem. Good to know it wasn't just me.

i had the same problem, but with a pc. whenever i plug in my phone into my pc, nothing comes up, i hav to go to my computer to open it up. and also i have an extra cd drive that says verizon mobile. do u know if the "rm /system/etc/CDROM.ISO" command works with a PC too?

Script Manager FC

I'm on Synergy GM with Monkey Kernel.
I'm trying to install the SuperSaver script, but I can't seem to open Script Manager. Everytime I try to open it, it's just a black screen and if I press any buttons, it just FC's.
Any way to fix this?

Same here... Sorry I'm no help. Contacted Devwom and they sent me an alternate version but still no luck. I assume it is something in godmode that interferes with it. I am sure however that there is a way to run a script in terminal emulator I'm just not sure of the commands.

I have found this thread googling in order to try solve this SManager issue.
As says imheroldman, this morning I've send him a pre release in order to try solve this issue with Synergy GM.
I've a HTC Desire, and emulator in order to test SManager, so I can't reproduce this FC.
If someone could help me to solve this issue, I'll very happy
Send me a private mail at market mail (same as this), and I'll send a special version with a lot of debug messages. And if you send me logcat output, probably I'll correct the issue.

No one I cant confirm.
But a have a lot FC reported mentioning Synergy and also I have found other threads like

Here is how I did it in TE and it seems to be working. I have noticed a significant speed up.......very significant.
Disclaimer: I am very new to Terminal stuff so I cannot verify what I did is the utmost correct way but I have rebooted 2x and ran a check and it's showing "Supercharged" and definitely faster.
su
sh /sdcard/scriptname
scroll speed I picked 3 cause I am new lol
my phone showed locked
Option 1 then 'Y' to the question
Option 15 to install for Terminal Emulator
Option 17 to exit
su
bash V6 (capitol 'V')
Scroll Speed 2 (cause I'm smarter than above now lol)
Option 1 then 'Y'
Option 2 let it do it's thing
Option 16 reboot
Open TE
su
bash V6
Scroll Speed 1 (I'm kinda a big deal now lol)
Option 1 to verify and shows Supercharged
Option 16 to reboot
I ran the 3rd batch of steps 2x to verify.

[Q] Ace Hack Kit - question

Hello, I run the kit and it seemed to work fine. It did the operation, and said it was completed. Also it said to press ented and it went back to the menu. I pressed q for quit.
I went to the phone and checked with superuser application. It said it was ok and the new version was downloaded. Also on the therminal then typed su I got # symbol.
Now, I tried to test with commands from the command prompt and for every command I got insufficient permission.
I connected the phone and I tried running Ace Kit again but got the message no HTC phone or usb? It worked fine before.
Any idea what is wrong now?

command adb devices
gives no permission message? I am assuming now that HTC needs to allow computer the access or something.

More info is needed. What commands are you trying? Did you actually gain soff? Ate you running these commands from the phone? If so did you give your terminal app root permission?
AND DONT RUN THE HACK KIT AGAIN if you are already rooted, only bad things will happend.

I can get it to work, but it almost seems like luck. Most of the time when I start the app up, it never loads and I have to kill ADB and then close the app and try again. Is this a problem with TouchWiz rom's? Currently testing FK23-ROM/FL04-kernel/FL04-modem. Maybe conflicting with MTP? If I just open a command prompt and do a "adb shell", even that can be finicky at times.

Last I looked a few months ago, our device wasn't listed under confirmed just the statement of "QtADB should work with every phone with busybox."..

Need help playing one app on a emulator. Yes. Just one app.

Hi.
Im looking for some help to run the app called "applike" on a emulator on pc or mac without the app recognising that the emulator is not a real phone or "too old device" to stop giving me this message:
This app is not able to run on this device currently.:crying::crying::crying:
Ive tried Andy, Bluestacks, Nox, Genymotion with android 6.0.0 and android 7.0.0. I can download the app and open it but when i try to log in it doesnt let me and gives me the same old message over and over.
Some help or fix or just a wake up to tell me it just plain out doesnt work at all, please tell me!:fingers-crossed:
