Hello!
Today I resetted my GT-N5110 by choosing the option in the Android system recovery. I did it because after the update to Android 4.2.2 I got via OTA some Apps were determinated repeatedly. I also re-initialized the Firmware via Kies.
But, wenn I run Android system recovery it says "No command" an when I try to wipe the cache partition it says "Error!".
I never rooted or used a custom rom.
Does anyone have an idea??
Does no one have an idea?
So had you rooted your Note 8.0 or were you running stock recovery?

I have the same problem, I'm in 4.2.2
I've made a wipe data, I can't make a wipe cache (it says Error and reboot),
and when i plug the tab in odin mode, Odin doesn't detect the device even if I check the debug mode, so i can't install another ROM or another kernel
So, how can i install an 4.1.2 ?
The device was NEVER rooted, no other kernel, and now i regret it :crying:
If you follow the steps on the following page, you should be able to get root with a pretty stock ROM with all the Samsung apps.

Done, but nothing change.
I'm always in 4.2.2 and can't make anything using Odin.
Does your operating system see (can mount) the N5110's filesystem(s)? If not, that's your problem right there. Unless the O/S can see your device, Odin (or any other program like heimdall, adb or fastboot) won't see it either.
Make sure you installed the right Samsung USB drivers (if using Windows). See:
http://samsung-phones-drivers.blogspot.com/2013/11/galaxy-note-80-gt-n5100-usb-driver.html
You could also try the Galaxy Note toolkit. See:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251033
Yes, USB debug needs to be enabled in settings.
On your N5110, can you boot into recovery mode (also known as download mode)? If so, connect your N5110 to the computer and see if your O/S detects it. If not, try another USB port on your PC.
Also, try another USB cable. Sometimes the cheaper ones loosen up in the micro port on the N5110 and don't make a good connection.

i'm trying to Odin back to a stock recovery so i can run TMobile's newest OTA; i flashed Whitehawkx's deodexed KL1 because i was told to look for a KL1 stock ROM - when i got into DL mode, Odin won't see my phone - MY PC causes an alert (yellow rectangle) in Device Mgr on the phone 'Samsung Mobile USB Comp Device' when i'm in DL mode, but it's fine when i'm not. And Odin sees the phone fine when i'm not in DL mode.
can someone tell me what might be wrong here? This OTA udpdate reminder is getting annoying, even though i've postponed it for 1 day...
thanks very much

well, i haven't quite figured out Kies except for how it explores my phone - don't know how i'd go find drivers with it.
i did download current drivers for the Samsung USB connection, just rebooted and nothing's changed.
my phone states:
Odin Mode
Prod Name t989
Custom Binary DL: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
i've already bricked one GS2, i'm terrified of doing that again.

ok, this worked. i went straight to DL mode and let the drivers install, and all is good.
i updated my modem to KL1 -what i need to do is revert to a Stock recovery so i can run this OTA, is that correct? can you tell me how to do this with Odin?
thanks
i just pushed the update thru odin even though i had cwm and was rooted. it unrooted me and put my recovery to stock

just download and then push it to ur phone thru odin.
what's that mean "push it through"?
and i didn't even know i could download the new OTA - i assumed it was already on the phone somewhere.
thanks much
i installed Kies on my pc and it tells me that i have the latest firmware on my phone already, KL1 - my baseband tells me i have KL1 because that's the flash i did last night, but i'm still stuck with TWO OTA nags.
can someone PLEASE tell me how to get rid of these nags?
This picture shows my problem. i want to fully unroot OR just get rid of this custom rom and get back to my original stock firmware (ics 4.0.4)
WHAT DO I DO?? it keeps failing when i flash
I don't see your phone recognized in the id:com field.
help to un-root GS3 & get stock rom back
I recently had a problem with Autostarts app causing crashes on my Samsung Galaxy S3 & had to unroot & do a master reset.
I use the YouTube video from qbking77 to do the un-root & it worked fine. I used Odin v7 to do the un-root but had to use Odin v4 to re-root my phone after master reset.
Hope it helps.
I can't post links yet but if you go to YouTube & find user qbking77, he has a step by step video on how to unroot your Samsung GS3.
The video was Published on Jun 29, 2012 & is titled "How to Unroot / Unbrick the Samsung Galaxy S III - Latest"

Odin fails stock rom error binary
So I been at this for weeks. I have a note 4. The phone has been rooted before. Then i flashed it back to stock.. It was all fine.. Then started to act up and freeze or not reset. So what I've tried now.. I've tried a stock rom via odin. Fails saying binary. I've tried kies. Kies says doesn't support connected device. I am not using the original cable it came with. I'm using a s7 edge cable. I don't see why that should matter. I finally managed to get by some magical 100x attempt got twrp recovery to flash via odin. So after that I decided to install roms via sd in twrp. All the roms I've tried have the same outcome. They install perfectly.. Twrp says successful. I hit reboot system. Phone goes off.. Doesn't come back on. .. I need some help plz. Nothing is working.

On top of that. After any kinda attempt I make. (since they all don't work, resulting in removing the battery) I will try.. Entering download mode.. Recovery mode.. Doesn't really matter what.. The phone won't respond to the command.. I generally will have to wait longer than 30secs.. Sometimes even 10mins to get the phone to start reading those commands again.
Which version of Odin are you using? Are you using stock ROMs from sammobile.com? Are you using a USB 2 port? Try using an original Samsung USB 2.0 cable with Odin.

Newest version of odin which Is 3.11 I believe... I'm using a 2.0usb. Which is what the note 4 is as well. The note 3 was the bigger one.. Not the note 4. That's what version I was using.. But when I flash the stock rom via odin.. I get binary fails showing on the phone.

My most favorite thing that happens.. That I can't explain reason of why. Is after I try to flash a rom..whether it be through odin or twrp. Odin fails.. Twrp just doesn't reboot after a successful flash... I have to take out the battery and retry.. I cannot get an instant boot.. I've waited.. 30secs.. Few mins.. Sometimes even 30mins and it won't come back on... Now I can't explain why it does that... Because if I give it x amount of time to rest with battery out.. It will work again.. Sometimes I can even do it right after a failed flash. I honestly don't know why or could tell you any more than because of this wait times in between.. I am limited to as many attempts as I'd like to do. Or sometimes I forgot what order or new attempt I wanna try.
I flashed a rom (yes it was for the proper device) and I followed everything step by step. My phone went into a bootloop where it vibrates and the samsung logo pops up then it turns off and starts over again. I turned off the phone and tried to go into recovery mode but it just shows the TWRP screen and then go into the bootloop again. I also tried going into download mode to odin back to stock but my device isn't even recognized even after installing kies. what can i do???

What rom did you flash?
What rom did you start with?
Did you recently flash anything else?
What steps did you follow when you flashed?

Reinstall the drivers for this device, a simple google can give you following information:
This is a Windows device driver error. As device drivers can be used anytime your computer is trying to use a hardware resource, it can be difficult to tell which process is causing the error. If you notice the error when trying to do a specific task, identifying the source of the problem may be easier. For detail, see error.info/windows/driver-18.html

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2x GT-S7560M with CWM 5.0.0.4 (I believe) installed on it. My phone was crammed with apps and some system applications weren't working (messaging and dialer to be exact), probably because I removed some system apps without referring to the list of safe apps to remove.
I decided it would be best to just start over. I formatted the phone through cwm and tried to flash the original stock rom.
It displayed error in /sdcard/"name of rom".zip (status 0). Installation aborted.
Some extra information about the problem:
- It can't mount /emmc (I don't know what that is)
- It seems to be unable to mount the internal sd card because I tried flashing a zip from there, but it showed some sort of error.
I forgot to mention that I also checked for bad downloads, and have already tried formatting the sd card itself.

Bump.
Please......bump.
I think emmc is the internal sdcard, so it makes sense that u can't flash zips from there, but it doesnt seem right.
Are u able to go back to stock using Odin? and if so, will youur sdcards (both internal and external) work on that?
I'm sorry, but as my name suggests, I am a total noob. Is Odin, in a way, a recovery mode that can be launched from your computer? Will I be able to flash the stock rom though Odin? I never knew what Odin is, but I've heard little about it, sorry.

Yes, odin is a flashtool for samsung devices.
You can enter into download mode on your phone by pressing volume down+home+power (while vol up+home+power should be recovery)
Once in there, u connect it to the pc via usb, and then u can flash it via odin.
Get odin from this thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
And samsung usb driver from this thread --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038555
Once the usb drivers are installed, odin (when opened and phone is plugged in in download mode) will recognize your phone, indicated by a colored bar beneath the top left square (cyan if using 3.09 or 3.07)
then download your stock firmware from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ (search for "GT-S7560M") any unbraded will do.
once downloaded, open the AP or PDA button in odin (depends on what version you are using) and load the tar.md5 of the firmware u just downloaded into it.
to the left leave all unchecked except for auto-reboot and f. reset. time and then hit flash.
It will install stock firmware on your phone then
To be entirely sure u get it all right, use this guide too --> http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...08-guide-how-flash-tar-files-odin-3-07-a.html.
Goodluck!

Hi,
I have a N5105 which is identical to N5100 as hardware.
Its only difference is in software (phone features removed)
That's why I use a N5100 rom (stock) on it and that way I have hone features.
However, the bootloader is still N5105. Because of the bootloader/system difference, I can not reset flash counter. (TriangleAway does reset it when I use N5100 rom but at first boot it sets fc 1 )
So, what I want is installing a N5100 bootloader on the device. Is there any way to do this ?
Btw, I also can go back to N5105 original rom but in that case TriangleAway does not support the device (N5105) and it does not reset flash counter.
I am stuck and that's why I am open to any suggestions.
Please help me.
thx.
As far as I know, trangle away is the only way to reset the flash counter. And considering that it doesnt support your device specifically, you are out of luck for now. Maybe send chainfire, the dev of triangle away, a request to add support for your device. You can always flash back to stock rom and recovery, which will change the status to samsung official, but that wont reset the counter.

When you want to go back to N5105, reset the fc in N5100 Rom, then not to reboot it but go to download mode directly. After flash back to N5105, check if fc remains 0.

that works. thank you. In fact I was also able to make Allshare Cast work with that way using an original rom.
However, then I can't root right ?
On the other hand, today I tried installing stock N5100 bootloader (from the Note 8 toolkit)
it worked. But the device still shows N5105 when booting. (and flash counter can't be set to 0)
Where does the N5105 info come ?
One other thing that I don't understand is ; why can't I install the official stock rom :
N5100XXCMH1_N5100OXACMH1_N5100XXCMF4_HOME.tar.md5
When I try that, Odin says "nand write failed"
If I remove the sboot.img from that tar file, Odin can successfully install this rom.
At first I believed that it was because my device denies this rom with N5100 boot image. However, as today I tried after installing N5100 bootloader, that should not be the problem.
What do you think ?

I am sure that the bootloader is N5100 (since the author of Toolkit would not use N5105 bootloader as N5100 bootloader)
And I am sure that the flashing is successful. I didn't get any errors.
Could it be that the device fixes its bootloader after I modify ?
