Also it has a HDMI port.
Price about 29€.
It's not at official ASUS site yet.

I like both of them. Waiting to see if it gets released in the states.

As it seems to me, it is only one dock with two possible orientations.
29€ for HDMI and dock seems very nice.

Both of them? There are not two docks, it's just one dock with 2 possible orientations

There is a wireless dock and wired dock, both are listed on the ASUS website.

damn, still no news about the new docks. I'd love to buy one. maybe two so I can have one at the office

Want for nightstand!

Use Nokia DT-910 (available for dirt cheap from an ATT store or eBay). Charges my N5 (portrait) and my N7 LTE (landscape) with no issues whatsoever (other than a slower charge due to lower output).

not a fan of the nokia chargers. i had 2 of them that crapped out on me. also the the fact it doesnt use a usb adapter is a major negative...

I considered this one but think the Kidigi:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kidigi-Ca...ories_MobilePhoneChargers&hash=item2c65f14b42
Ordered one the other day, should arrive on the same day my HOX goes back for repair. Decided on this as it claimed to be vibration free but we will see when I get my HOX back :fingers-crossed:
Have to agree - just received mine from Expansys (sent from France strangely enough).
Sturdy, reasonably vibration free, phones fits with or without case (removable insert).
That plus a usb charging port and HTC Sense car app launching automatically = win.
I'm using this also. Working as a charm, no problems.
When JB will come out to HOX, maybe we will have audio out on usb, so it will be just one fast move - phone in dock and we have charging, audio on speakers, and phone safetly placed on dashboard...
It's nice, kind of expensive though...doesn't come with the charger either.

cheaper direct from expansys

does car dock come on with any usb cable or does it have to be certain type ?
I ordered the original one being sold by HTC through att. Former doesn't get better and it's the most premium looking one I've seen.

I got this case, but haven't used it yet. What is preventing me from using it is the fact that despite being advertised as being able to fit most cases, it doesn't fit my Ballistic case.
How is it better than anything from Brodit;

nokia wireless charger compatibilty with samsung t999

i was looking for wireless charger dock and I found nokia DT-910. it also has nfc. I wanted to know if this charger/dock will work with Samsung t999? I know, most likely I will have to buy the separate cover to make it work, but now really sure.
check out review for nokia DT-910 on youtube
I don't see why it wouldn't work. The inner charging mechanism is an induction coil just like any other wireless charger. So you should be able to charge it as long as you have an inductive back plate or a qi card. I don't really understand the purpose of having NFC on the dock though and most solutions for wireless charging on the S3 are not NFC enabled.

I've read other qi threads..but honestly could not get a clear answer.. does anyone have a link to get the best/fairly priced QI reciever tag??
Thx.

What's your definition of a "fairly priced" kit? are you looking at something in the $25-$30 range?
Ya I would definitely consider that fair.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Unfortunately, afaik nearly all the kits (including charger and receiver) are around 70-80 USD. it's one of those early adopter product that you pay quite a premium for.
you can totally go for the touchstone mod though if you really want to save on costs. the mod should be closer to your budget
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well all I need is the reciever. I have the Nokia dt-900 charging pad from my gf lumia 920.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
afaik, the receivers go for around $30 + shipping. I know the one I have costs around that much.

Thanks for the help. Do you mind sharing the link where you purchased yours? And how has it been working for you? I.e. charging time, any problems..

Check the stickied Qi thread. I posted a video of the kit i have including who made it and also how to get it.
so far it's been good. it charges at a decent pace but I really can't tell for the most case because I usually just charge it overnight. It's always been at 100% every day I wake up though.. so that's the best I can tell you.

Anker Astro3 external battery

So I play Ingress with my phone, tablet and what seems to be any electronic I can get my hands on. So I'm always in need of a little juice for my electronics. I previously owned the EasyAcc 12000 mah portable battery and was decently happy.
I just got my anker Astro3 after looking at specs and wanting a solid feeling charger for my new Nexus 7 Gen 2 and my note 2. Here is my un boxing photos and I'll report my experience if you guys would like.

Have had it for the last couple of months. Lasts a really long time. It has held it charge for months. A bit heavy but feels solid. Use it all the time when Im ingressing.

I have one and would 100% recommend it.

Another +1 on the Anker batteries. I have one and they are great.
I have had it for couple of months now. I have used it almost daily playing ingress and other different reasons. It powers my note 2 no problems. I have noticed that the universal port closest to the smart usb port charges the fastest. The size is convenient. And especially the shake to active feature. When I'm on my roadbike I just shake my backpack and it's starts the current. I still highly recommend it to anyone.

I bought the 20000mah or so anker battery, the one designed for laptops. Its fantastic. Very veryb well built, and works flawlessly. Fully charged it will keep me going for a 5 day trip (maps etc during day, 2 or 3 hours of films or TV shows in the evening)
photo links broken :/ please post again

This!
This one looks about perfect, I emailed them yesterday and they said it should work with the nexus 5 with no adapters needed, but there was still a question if it would go into production

That looks awesome! I really hope it goes into production. I'd like to see a real review though, because I'm still concerned about how well those magnets would work in a car.

if yes, how is it, thanks
I have one for 25 off an amazon seller. Works great. The keyboard is magnetic so you can remove it and use it detached which is cool.
Three negative that are not bad. First it does make it thick. about like a day planner, not bad. Two the keyboard is small as you would expect but it has nice travel and is quite usable. The third thing is that in landscape the edge of the screen can slip below the leather lip. If you use a hidden pie menu you might need to increase its target size to handle that.
But those are all minor. I like it. A HDMI adapter and this works well in a hotel for working.
