Restore back to factory 4.2.2? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Can anybody point me to a thread that has the download of what I need to restore the SGS4 back to factory 4.2.2 settings?
All I have been able to find are restore back to factory 4.3 settings.
I am still on 4.2.2 & would like to go back to factory default of 4.2.2 so I can then download the 4.3. Currently it won't allow me to do so because the phone isn't stock.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Why not just go to http://SamMobile.com and download the official 4.3 MK2 stock rom from there
and then Odin flash it. After doing that you can if you like root the phone and flash a custom recovery.
You can also get the original official 4.2.2 stock rom and odin flash that and allow the OTA update.
But it's a lot easier/faster to just download the new 4.3 official MK2 rom in the first place.
Good luck!

Thanks for the help. But dang, 5 hours & 15 minutes to download 1.4gigs? OUCH!

4.2.2 is about the same though. TouchWiz is bulky. Also, if you're gonna do custom recovery etc why not just upgrade your modem and use the CWM-flashable 4.3's? Keep your warranty intact that way.

I use Download Accelerator Plus. 100KB/s goes up to my 6MB/s max. DAP is a great program but best if you get the premium version.

Returning to stock - selling phone.

I am currently on the aokp rom and i need to sell the phone and wipe everything on the phone. I cant seem to find a guide that does this perfectly. Ideally I would like to return to 100% stock as if the phone is brand new out of the box.
Any suggestions?
Flash one of these http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33570269 and you should be good.

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746665 and follow the instructions - watch the video from wwjoshdew and it's super easy. Get a stock rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426 - this thread also provides instructions on how to revert back to stock.
You could always sell the phone the way it is - the aokp rom is a definite feature..

Yea but i think the average person is going to be like wtf is this. Most people don't know about custom roms and phones. (at least i dont think they do)
So i flashed the stock firmware and it keeps hanging at the samsung boot screen it does the att boot animation then gets stuck at the samsung one.
I put the md5 fild in the pda box on odin. thats correct right?
I'm trying to download the file from another mirror maybe i got a corrupt download.

No, just pull the battery and reboot into recovery. Do a wipe data/factory reset then reboot and you should be good to go.

Use Odin to flash the stock ROM mentioned above. That process won't trip it.

Note 2 need to restore back to factory restore

Hi All,
I've search and seems links to any factory stock rom are no longer available.
Can someone provide a link or suggest how I can restore back to original Samsung factory rom.
1) Rom before rooting 4.1.2 wifi worked
2) Rom after rooting JediX20 now have Wifi problems not turning on, once WiFI does turn on it does not connect.
3) I Want to restore back to SAMSUNG OEM 4.1.2 stock to see if wifi get fixed
I was hoping to use ODIN but only roms available are rooted.
Thanks in advance

[Q] GS4 Tmobile Stock firmware file

Hi as always I come for the expert advice to you guys. I have recently UPDATED my Galaxy S4 for Tmobile to CyanogenMod. Frankly I love the speed but it is still in beta version and has a few things I did not like. Few glitches. Anyway:
I want to go back to my stock firmware which was Kit Kat 4.2.2.before I installed Cyanogenmod.
I already downloaded Odin V3 09 and am ready to do this but I still do not have the stock firmware file. I looked for it but I really don't want to screw it up.
Can someone be so kind and insert the link to the download ? And if of course possible STEP BY STEP instructions on HOW TO GO BACK ?
I understand my phone now is rooted and will stay rooted after reinstalling Kit Kat. So I still should be able to get rid of all the bloatware correct ?
Any help greatly appreciated and huge THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!
Download firmware here http://www.cheatersedge.org/android/m919/M919UVUFNB4_M919TMBFNB4_TMB_FENNY_FIXED.zip, there is a thread already on instructions on how to flash.. and just because you rooted doesn't mean your device will stay rooted forever. Once you flash the firmware you will be unrooted but you can root again.. Alternatively you can just flash a debloated stock rom in recovery

Finding the stock firmware won't be easy unless you try downloading from sammoble, but you could try Fenny's stock rooted 4.4.2 rom in development.
It's very smooth without the bloatware and it has unlimited tethering.
It works best with Philz recovery.
Just follow the directions and your good to go.
Don't forget to do a factory reset.
Pp.
Sent from my Touchwiz device that never forgets apps.
PIN lock screen does NOT work on Fenny's rom when you first boot/restart/power up the phone. So, if you are turning your phone on the lock screen will just be skipped over.
Pin lock issue could be NG if you need that type of security.

Thank you so much Serio22, I just want to make sure it is the correct one for my Tmobile GS4.
And also would you be so kind and attach the STEP BY STEP instructions for Odin ? I am really afraid of bricking my phone. I need guidance.
People say once you do it few times it becomes easy as pie. But like I wrote above I don't want to mess up my phone.

One last question and I won't bother again:
When it comes to those files " OFFICIAL TAR AND ORIGINAL TAR " do I just choose any one of them ?? I wanted to know the difference between them both. Instructions don't really specify which to choose. Or is it both ?
And also there is a suggestion to " Wipe the data in recovery " after the whole thing how do I do that ? Should I do that ?
Thank you again for your help.

You don't have to worry about that, just use the tar file I posted earlier
Edit: and for the wipe data, you reboot to recovery after you flashed the firmware and do a factory reset.. Yes you should, but not necessary if you don't have any issues..

That is actually a 4.4 ROM. Did you have android 4.4 when you flashed C-Rom? This is very important!! You will need to Odin the official firmware or a rooted ROM. Its necessary to know what version you were on. Let us know and we'll give you the next step.

I think he was probably on 4.4 bro. He flashed the MDL firmware from the link he provided while on a KK ROM, that's why he bricked the phone. He will need to flash the stock official 4.4 to get back in business. I really doubt he was on MDL.

Your issue was flashing the 4.22 firmware. Remember this. You cannot downgrade from 4.4 by any means. You will brick your phone. Its because of the bootloaders. Now if you would've been on 4.2 rooted and updated bootloaders you would've been fine. Glad you are back on track! Good job

Well.....you can't go back to 4.2 or 4.3 stock roms anyway. You can still flash 4.2 or 4.3 custom roms if one of those is your personal favorite that you'd like. Those aren't restricted by the 4.4 bootloader.

update from SS odexed 4.1.1 to atleast 4.1.2??

Mods: i searched and searched but couldnt find a clear answer so i had to ask..
Need help updating my S3 that i have as my extra phone which i hardly ever used lately since upgrading to the note 2 then Note3
It's currently on rom : SS odexed Blue Holly Grail 2.5 LJ7 4.1.1 baseband LJ7
I haven't modded this phone in a very long time.. I see that there is now 4.4 roms available and been searching over and over on how to go from this rom to a higher version of android.. everything i keep finding is either outdated and links are no longer available.. or the options to update are from 4.3 to 4.4 but im still on 4.1.2
I also need to upgrade to atleast to 4.1.2 so that i am able to flash this phone to page plus and the steps/guide and programs that i will be using required that..
1) Do i need to go back to stock rom first ?
2) Is there a One click Odin zip to go back to stock
3) is there a One click Odin zip to upgrade ?
Dont really care about having to be rooted on this phone as this is just my second line and my NOTE 3 is properly customized...
Please help..
TIA.
