How can i disable this stupid notice? - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hello to all,
how can I disable the annoying notice of hearing damage when you increase the volume at max level?

Hi.. If you are rooted, you can use wanam xposed app. There is an option to disable loud volume warning.

Thhaaaaaaak you very much

Correct: at the beginning it seemed to work, but after a reboot, it does not work anymore (ml1 stock rom rooted with root the la vega).

Hmm.. for me it works always.. I'm rooted via rdlv also.. and i have p605 mj9 stock.. so I don't know why it's not working for you

Maybe... samsung knox?

Also make sure your superuser is Granting win amp to run on boot up

Good for Enterprise root

Hey all, I have the GOOD app for my corp email, and it now checks for root, and boots me everytime I try to install it. I had off and on problems with my Nexus S with that, but I figured it was on their end as it would work fine for a few weeks.
Anyway, I cannot get it to open with my rooted SGS3. I am stock ROM, just rooted. Do I have to live in a stock world now if I want work email on my phone (which I kinda have to have). No way to hide that from that app?
If I do, what is the best way to unroot without losing all my apps and data? I dont think I can use ti backup on a non-rooted phone.

Not sure if it will work but you can try using supersu. You can set GOOD to deny root and disable notifications. Might work?

This must be a setting your company can adjust, because we use GOOD at my work, and it's working for me, on top of a totally custom, rooted ROM. My Good for enterprise version is 1.9.1.220

Try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815070. Sounds perfect.

Has anyone had any luck using tasker to rename/remove superuser (or supersu) on the launch of a specific app like this one that checks for root, and then auto restore root after tasker sees the app close?
(Yes I know tasker requires root to work but I'm asking if there has been some type of hack or mod to allow tasker to carry out root functions when it temporarily loses super(su/user))

Any luck ? My company is not going to change the root policy so I eather have to avoid it or ...
what about the stock email app?
If you would be willing to use the stock app you could always try this http://db.tt/b6Svh2HB . Figured its worth mentioning
Hey!
I was faced with the very same issues using Good for Enterprise. The workaround I've used is:
- flash Siyah Kernel (S3 1.7 RC1, i think)
- setup dual boot with a couple ROMs (PA and Omega in my case).
- remove root on one of the ROMs and reboot
- boot into the unrooted ROM and install Good from scratch (and not via Titanium)
- thank the developers who came up with these fantastic ROMs and kernels on a daily basis
Good luck! Pun intended .
The way we do it is through a script that disabled root - it essentially renames su items the app looks for.
We also had to change permissions to disabled on GOOD for RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED and READ_CALL_LOG
He then made two apk's in tasker that
A) Runs the disable root script and opens GOOD
B) Run the enable root script and opens SU as assurance that we have SU back
Now, there may be an easier way to run GOOD, but this works for us.
I'm running CM10. I believe he's running another JB rom.

My dependency on GOOD is the only think keeping me from moving from stock to CM10. Could you share the script and apks that let you run GFE?
gnja can you share the script?
Here you go. GFE and root happy again.

somebody doing hardwork to make this happen. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2040163
personally its too cumbersome for me, so i opted for a fully stock 2nd device which i already have.
it can also be an excuse for buying a new phone, and making your existing phone revert back to full stock just for the purpose.
or maybe buy a cheap used but decent & certified phone like Xperia Arc for the purpose.

[A] Mods without hacking APKs or custom rom (multiwindow any app)

Install and run Exploit apk to get root:
Install XposedInstaller-ICS_JB-rc2.apk, follow instructions on post.
Install XposedMultiWindow.apk.
Open the Xposed Installer app (installed in step 2). Click 'Modules', then check 'xMulti Window Mod', and reboot. (activates the run-time patch allowing all apps to be multiwindow compatible).
BTW, there are more cool Xposed modules (like call recording, per-app dpi, and no 100% battery notification) you can download here. Xposedframework eliminates the need for stock rom chefs imho.
Amazing

How do I know if the multi-window works? I followed all these steps, but what I got is exactly the same as before. Where is the multi-window and how to call it out? Tried long press the return button but nothing happened. Or it does not work for T-mobile device?
I have completed the installation and have to admit that this made my night. Huge props to the person who developed this. Installing on my partners note 2 as well. Looking forward to seeing what else xposed comesbup with

Did you do the T-mobile update from yesterday? If so toggle multi window on in Settings--->Display. If you've done that then hold down your back button for a couple seconds the multi window should pop up at the left. You can hold back to hide it again.

Updated the subject. As the post above states, you need to be running the newest update.
This situation is an excellent example of why the xposed framework is such a great way to mod.
Had this been a standard flash patch, you would likely have force closes, or worse a soft brick.
With xposed, those problems are a thing of the past. If it can't hook the mod in, nothing happens (just as you are seeing). Hopefully in a future release there will be some indicator if a mod cant be hooked in.
Nevermind... got it working. F'n awesome, thank you!
Thank you for posting this mod. This made my day - I like keeping my phones with stock rom for as long as I can for stability sakes, and this mod is just what I needed.
Are there any draw backs to this mod? I was reading the original Exploit apk post and some are talking about a green camera screen.

If you just root through the app you'll be fine. The green camera screen happens when you check the boxes to actually disable the exploit.

Can someone please answer this? I don't want to get this mod and have every single app of mine show up on the multi window list, I just want a certain selection of apps
edit: nevermind, I installed it and you get to choose the apps to add to the list if anyone is wondering. They don't all just show up on the bar, you get a list of yours app and you edit the bar to choose what you want to add
Maybe you misunderstood him? All apps will only show when you click on edit. From that edit screen, you can then drag specific apps over to the multiview bar. After you're done editing, only apps you dragged over will show on the bar.
So two different things here: edit screen and the bar itself.
Hello everyone.
One question on this root process, can we install and use overclock applications such as SetCPU and TunerPro?
And if we had to, can the process be reversed and go back to stock unroot Note II?
Thank you.

1. Yes, once you're rooted, you can use apps that request root like SetCPU, Titanium Backup, AdAway, etc.
2. Yes, if you're on stock rom and recovery, you just go to SuperSu > Settings > Full Unroot.
Wow thanks that's the fastest root i have done. ALSO easy to be on Stock rom and have multi Window with every single app. Much thanks

Remember to uncheck the disable exploit boxes before unrooting, or you won't be able to re-root using the exploit.

Huh ? Doesnt power off ? I'm sure, you must have installed some battery saver apps which have different profiles in it, and they are being activated automatically. As far as lag goes, remove those useless anti virus apps. All Android apps run in a sandboxed environment including the anti-virus. The antivirus doesnt have enough permissions for run under system level. You need root access. Android is unlike windows. They are different. You dont need any anti-virus until you install cracked games and pirated Torrent stuff. :good:

It seems to be working. I'm running ViperRom and they are including this option in there next update so I'm probably going to uninstall xposed. As this was the only reason I installed it in the first place.
I switched to viper yesterday and its definately a great ROM. But I have a problem with the Volume Step tweak. If i add more than the standard value the steps are working but the volume is still just using 15 steps. For example when i set it to 30 (with reboot) the full volume is reached at 15 and it starts all over again from the bottom until i reach 30. I had the same bug with the exposed module. Is there any solution or is it working well on your devices?

Hey man,
I just tried using the app you showed, but I can't activate the led.
Even if I activate the tile, it is still grayed out and can't be activated, even after granting root access.
The other tiles I tried didn't have that problem.
Could you give an explanation how you managed to activate it?
