Flash TWRP recovery, then try installing a stock ROM. You can find flashables in the TWRP thread in the Development section I think.

wifi not connecting after rooting?

I can search and enter the password but it stops at obtaining IP address. It still connects on my other devices so its not the wifi itself. I just rooted using the latest method with Odin. I tried the unroot with Odin method (which didn't even unroot) just went back to factory kernel (ok?). Also km not sure how to get my old version of Swype back so I can completely 4ever if I wanted to. Any advice would be awesome, thank you I'm advance.
Odin crawrj's odexed or deodexed with Busybox and root....depending if you will be using themes..then Odin bubby's pulled stock kernel or Chris41g's LoSt kernel or his stock with CWM kernel. I had same issue but with 4G and this method fixed it right up

I'd like to be stock, with a "stable"kernel.
I'm having a similar issue. I rooted for the first time this weekend, and my wifi will no longer connect. It starts scanning for networks, but then just turns off after a few seconds.
I messed up while rooting, so I had to unroot, update to EK02, then rooted it. I'm also running LauncherProPlus, if that helps.
Its been my experience that flashing a different modem version will alter everything from 4G to wifi to your connection strength to the sprint network. There is a good thread in the stickies section explaining how to do this.

Need help setting up phone with CM10.0

Just installed CM10.0 on my phone. I used the sprint version, but have a problem.. I do not have any service data or mobile.. is there a way to update your profile like you do with the normal rom that came on the phone, so I can get my service.. Thanks
Also having the same issue. I was gonna post a thread but I figured I'd just search for it when I get home.
That way I don't get yelled at by the forum trolls.

You cant update profile on an AOSP (android open source project) rom. Try flashing the CM10 rom again, but this time wipe everything a couple more times before you do that

To update PRL and Profile you need to nandroid you cm10 flash TW rom update both then restore your nandroid.
I like to break stuff!

As was stated, to update profile/prl, when on an AOSP rom, you have to flash back to a TW rom, perform the action, and then flash to your preferred AOSP rom. If you're using a slightly older AOSP rom, you may want to search for the Sprint data handoff link and download it, save it as you would other root files, and flash it after flashing your preferred rom and kernal. I've found the data handoff fix to be very helpful, especially since I'm in a fully lit LTE area.
Good luck.

no 4g signal now

I've been flashing roms and noticed my gps wouldn't work yesterday. flashed a couple other roms today and I can't get 4g signal, it just keeps saying H. should I be flashing a modem after each rom?
edit: I restored a stock backup I had before I started flashing roms and my 4g lte signal is back, no more H icon. what could be the problem? or solution?

It's probably not the modem. CM/AOSP ROMs don't even flash modems. If you look, there are no basebands in the .zips. Not only that, but there's a growing body of evidence to suggest that modem/baseband flashing does not work at all via CWM/TWRP anyway.
Probably it's related to the RILJ.
The Open Source RILJ isn't as optimized as the stock one, and when you flashed back to stock, you got the stock RILJ. You baseband didn't change.

so would that mean I should restore my stock backup and then flash the rom I want to install? does flashing rom after rom complicate things at all? or is there a way to completely start from scratch kinda like restoring the stock backup
this is on the instructions to flash cm 10.2 "Make sure you install this MODEM. Without it, you'll have a phone that never deep sleeps. ever." is this true with all roms or just cm 10.2?
You can go back to complete stock using the lg flash tool. But idk if it'll help.

That's for AT&T customers, and I think why it works is that it hooks into the part of the custom RILJ that is optimized for AT&T.
I'm not on AT&T and I've never had a problem with deep sleep, with or without flashing modems, and either way, the modem never actually changes.
I keep a clean stock CWM backup both on my PC and my internal storage on the device.
I frequently bounce between ROMs, but I always restore to stock before doing so.
There's a lot of strange behavior with sd cards, directories, etc. when doing so, however, because the recovery creates a mnt/storage directory that cannot be seen by the PC when running custom ROMs at all. You have to do an adb pull to backup from the directory. It's a PITA.

Modem issues l900

I was wondering if anyone had any current Modem Drivers for 4.4 ? Every single 4.4 ROM I flash I get no service, no network connectivity I tried the latest modem drivers from here
http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.php?dir=Files/Devices/Samsung Galaxy Note II (SPH-L900)/
Nothing seems to work. Any ideas ?
If you flashed the modem and still have no data service you need to re provision your phone. Try dialing ##72786# and see if that will do it. Afterwards go into settings and select the activate phone option down at the bottom. If non of that works you'll have to Odin a stock room and start over. That will definitely get you working again.
None of that works...I don't even get a signal for voice service...the phone has no connectivity whatsoever.
This all started after flashing to stock and starting over, I was having issues with 4g but now nothing...I managed to get a 4.2.2 carbon ROM working but that's it. No 4.4 ROM shows any signal at all.. Before flashing to stock I at least got 3g

You're using the recovery that every single 4.4 ROM tells you NOT to use in the OP. Use CWM or PhilZ and you shall be happy. TWRP has yielded broken radios in flashing 4.4 builds for 3 months now. Very well known issue.
Ohh damn I love twrp... OK I will certinally GI e that a shot.. Thanks

Only 3G no LTE after flash to various roms

A few months back I went back to stock, and then flashed a rom that was close to stock. When I did I lost LTE, and had very intermittent 3g. I just kinda dealt with it since I am on Wifi most of the time between work and home. Now, I want to fix it. I couldn't get my APNs to stick in CM12 when I flashed to it and was having the intermittent 3g, so I went back to unrooted stock and my LTE was back. Super! So I flashed back to CM12 and I'm right back to the same problem with 3g dropping and getting the ! on the bars. Not sure where to go from here.
Here is a list of the steps I took:
Start with AOSP rom > LTE
Flash back to stock > LTE
Flash to http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-sprint/development/rom-stock-oh3-rooted-deknoxed-deodexed-t3221123 > no LTE
Flash OH3 modem > no LTE
Flash to CM12.1 nightly > no LTE
Flash to stock > LTE
Flash to CM12.1 nightly > no LTE
In the past I've used plenty of CM and AOSP roms with no LTE issues. Granted, the issues may be unrelated, and it could just be something with the CM12 nightlies, but it all seems to stem back to when I flashed after coming from stock the first time. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
What I would try is flash a radio file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139889 and see if that helps if not I would revert to stock via Odin. Hopefully this helps
