I can't see pictures on SD card in gallery? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I am running the update just pushed out automatically and I am regretting accepting it. Everything worked great before the update, but now is giving me issues.
I started with loading cm10 via their website and using the desktop app. I am not rooted. I was running 4.2.2, now 4.4.2
What is going on with this? I can still see and access the SD card through es file Explorer but it won't sync to gallery and when I try to download an image from an email it's no where to be found. Anyone know what's wrong?

I seemed to have fixed it by clearing the caches

GMail issue/SD card error

I flashed CM10 and am running the latest nightly (12/13/12) and I didn't run into this issue until I had to flash back to stock after getting an error trying the unofficial 4.2 release. Anyways after flashing back and getting my phone to working order. So GMail has sync errors, doesn't show all new emails, while on my CPU they are unread and new. Also after installing a new app or rebooting where I have it on my dock it disappears and I have to move it back. Tried uninstall and reinstall and no fix.
And for the SD card issue, I think its just not fixable, but I reformatted it three times, still says unmounted unexpectedly and stuff randomly are there any fixed to this also?
Thanks guys!

What version of gapps are you using?
4.2.1 I believe it is the latest cause I don't have an update available. Its official Google.

Had to resort to a factory reset/data wipe. Seemed to do the trick. Thanks for the troubleshooting tips guys.

Idk why it's there but i was running into problems of downloading and the phone wouldn't read the download because our was placed into the same file but under the 0. I had to do the slow process of transferring all info to the internal storage. I flashed a CM ROM but went back to a different one.

New apps are removed on boot

If I install a new app it is fine until I shut the tablet down. Then when it is restarted the app has been removed. Also if I do a Titanium BU, when rebooted the backup is also not there. Any ideas?

Well I found the problem to be that any new app is trying to load to the SD card. If I go to settings/applications, and move them back to device all is well. Just have no idea why they are trying to load to the SD card as no changes were made to the tablet except trying to load a new app.

unknown error could not install (-24)

Ok so i was running the note 2/3 rom I forget what it's called and my phone was randomly rebooting itself. So i wiped everything did a factory reset and went to install my old apps and i kept getting this stupid error when stuff from the market went to install. The same exact apps that were running on the same exact rom. So then i got fed up and wiped everything and installed the sks mk4 rom and I still have the same issue. What is going on with this?

Did you wipe the internal sdcard?

I found a little trick on the interwebs. Open up TB. Once it finishes loading, hit the menu key. Select batch operations. Scroll down and select the orphan data choice. Fixed me up a few times.

Well try the titanium backup method mentioned hopefully that will help. When changing roms it is alwats best to wipe your internal sdcard to avoid these kind of issues.

I had this last week. Couldn't get gmail to install, then a different app. Since I was using philz, there wasn't a fix permissions. If you're not using that recovery, try fixing permissions. If you are, use the app rom toolbox lite to fix it.
Ok so the titanium backup method worked as far as I can tell. Everything has installed since I did that. Now my problem is for some reason xda app keeps disappearing. The icon stays on my home screen but disappears from my app drawer. When I click on the shortcut on my home screen it tells me app isn't installed. Then I have to go to play store re install it and click the same shortcut and it opens
