So my Tmobile S2 will go to logo loading screen then just cutboff and viberate every 2-3 seconds. Every few times it will fully load and go to the android guy making the phone turning on noise but then it will make a "errrr" noice and cut off. Sometimes it will actually cut all the way on but then cut of after maybe 1-3 minutes. i have gotten it to stay on long enough to factory reset it from the settings and it restarted just as it should and stayed on maybe 2 more minutes then what do you know?, cut off and viberated. i can not get it into recovery or download mode and when it does turn on it will hook up to kies and to my laptop but if it cuts off it disconnects. i have two batteries for it so thats not it right? i also had the screen and the lcd and the camera replaced about three weeks before this. i had the power button replaced yesterday. they guy that done it said he deleted my ROM and downloaded a new one and it didnt work, but when i got it on all my downloaded apps was on there still and in the same place on my home page! plus my password was still on there and the guy did not know it!! so he lied about deleting it right? it does charge when plugged up though it wont come on and it viberates still. i did leave it on charge all night and when i turned it on this morning it fully loaded three times in a role. also i havr not downloaded or updated anything on it, its all stock. and i have not unlocked, jailbroken it. and yes i have tried the volume up+power+home, volume down+power+home, volume up+ power, and volume down + power. nothing! what do i do now?????? Please help me!!!!!!!!! thank you!

I woke up yesterday and the Galaxy Nexus (GSM) was not responding well. The touch input was lagging and it appeared to be under load. The phone was not hot. I took the battery out and put it back in. The phone however did not come back on. I have left the battery out over night and then put the battery back in when i woke up. Nothing. I have left it pluggeed into the computer for 3 hours unplugged then put then battery in. nothing. I have done numerous battery pulls and nothing.
I have read every possible post I can find about this but haven't recovered my phone. It was running AOKP milestone 3 and kernal build 162 (can't remember name sorry). CPU was not changed from stock settings (governor i believe). It will plug into computer with nop battery in and give me the OMAP4440 device listing for a brief second so I know its not dead.
Any help would be appreciate.

can you boot into fastboot?
Holding volume up+down and power?
no. no fast boot response. ONLY thing that tells me phone is seudo alive is the USB recognition for 1.5 seconds when plugged into computer without battery. This happened to me once before and leaving the battery out overnight got it back. No luck this time. Bought phone May 4th. First incident may 5th. Didnt want to bother with return because I love the phone. Now out of 14 day return policy. Can't send to Samsung due to root/etc

yeah i tried that as well. i just said screw it today. called samsung got a shipping label. the warranty process could turn out bad/interesting. if it does i'll just let em keep the phone. been more problems since the day i got than any phone ive had. not flaming this gnex forum by any means so dont launch into a war on me. I miss my Galaxy S2. I work at an AT&T COR store maybe i'll poke around for when our GS3 is coming. I'll keep yall posted on what sammy says. If anyone reads this that has had a success story with recovering their phone from this problem let me know though please.
Sounds to me that your battery is flat and it doesn't charge. Do you have a spare one you can try (friend or work)?

My Gnex happen excetly same after I updated CMW touch zip by rom manager! No response on power button. Power + volume +- button! Garrrrrrr!
That 1.5 second you've mentioned when you connected to the computer... did it say? OMAP or something like that? If so, you have a good chance of "reviving" the phone. Search up for OMAP flash.
This excactly the thread you need
Good luck buddy

Helpful
This post helped. My GSM GN suddenly went black in the middle of an installation. Tried the tip with battery . No go
Saw the same problem at iFixit forums.
The tip was same. The trick was to use the charger instead of the USB port.
Worked well and my GN is back again.
I have a brand new Nexus that I got from the Playstore. I also have a an unlocked Note I'm running on Straight Talk. I decided to throw the sim into the Nexus and the phone wouldn't turn on. I took out the sim and tried to start it and it went into and endless bootloop.
Somewhere along the line I must have hit the volume button and power button because it went to the screen that says start and I hit the power button but then it locked up. I pulled the battery and turned it back on and now it just loops the black screen with the Google logo and the little padlock at the bottom.
What the heck did I do? What should I do?
I have only turned this phone on once and have never had it set up or used it for anything. I basically only turned it on just to make sure it worked.
Should I not have used a sim from another phone? I thought that was possible.
This sucks.

I'll leave the real advice to the experts, but I can tell you that putting your Note sim card in your Nexus certainly did not brick the Nexus. If your Nexus is bricked and that is really all you did to it, then it was defective when it arrived -- you didn't do it.
Well, I'm glad it's not my fault but WTF? If it is jacked I hope I can return it to Google.
Odin phone?
*EDIT* See there's only tar for sprint. Try factory reset?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Def not bricked. Search stuck at boot loop and there around a million threads with instructions.
people on these forums really have a hard time understanding what bricked means
Yeah it's good that actually bricking these days is pretty rare outside of getting wet. I remember when people failed when hspling their HTC wizards and bricked to the point of requiring jtag.

you can do two things here:
1. return the phone and get it replaced.
(or)
2. just flash the stock factory image and see if that fixes it.

Pardon me for calling it bricked. I mean I have a $350 phone that doesn't work. I'm no expert. If I was I probably wouldn't be asking here what to do. I tried the volume and power button and went into recovery mode as someone suggested. I get to the point with the Android with the exclamation. It won't allow me to go past that.
Anymore suggestions?
Btw, I did search for what to do and didn't find any way to fix it or the ideas didn't work, thus my question.
Even if I did get it working it would be interesting to know what happened.
Thanks

This may sound silly but how long was it boot looping for ? I would be incline to let it do whatever its doing...I would say give it a good a good 10-15 mins and see what happens. Just a suggestion.
This could help too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28486488
I ended up posting on AC also and some guys walked me through recovery. It wouldn't work. I called Google and they did the same thing. It didn't work. They called it DOA and got me in touch with Samsung. Samsung is sending me a new phone without even getting this one back first. Of course they will charge me if I didn't send it back, but still, darn good service. The guys at Google were also very nice (and American) and they were professional and easy to understand. Great guys.
Well, they may not have been American but they spoke English well. I only mention that as I have recently spent time dealing with Straight Talk customer-no service and it was so flipping hard to understand them ON TOP of their horrible service.
Anyways, seems like I got a bad unit. I'm sure there was a way to flash a stock image or something but because it was literally brand new I figured I'd just get a replacement.
Everyone has said the sim shouldn't matter. Is that 100 % true? Could I use my Note one day and decide to use the Nexus the next just by switching the sim? I think that's ideally what I'd like to do. I still have my Epic Touch on Sprint and 3 phones is gonna be a pain. I've been using Google Voice with the Note and that has been working out ok.
Anyways, thanks for all the help and I apologize for being such a noob.
Samsung Galaxy S2 won't boot to main menu, and has seizures.?
Hi. I have tmobile samsung galaxy s2. the issue had already been around, but never this bad.Usually, when I would use my phone, it would just randomly reboot on it's own. today out of nowhere . I can't even get to the main home screen or menu. When the battery is inserted, the phone will automatically try to turn on. I'll get the Samsung screen, then the "Samsung Galaxy SII Android 4G T-Mobile screen", then the phone will glitch for a second, black screen, and it'll almost have a seizure from then on. When I say that, pretty much what happens is that the screen will go black, and it'll pulse with vibrations. It'll vibrate, stop for two seconds, vibrate some more, etc. That's all it'll do from there on. It won't try to turn on when I hold the power button, and the vibrations won't stop until I take the battery out. There is no water damage, and there's just normal wear on the phone.
i have had the same exact problem with my first salaxy s2 phone and tmobile exchanged thru warranty. it was a miracle i go tthe warranty thru as the same thing happened that i will explain below.
When I got a new tmobile phone through warranty, on the fifth day, it started to randomly turn on and of at least evry other day .and beep for about a minute till i can turn it on. when I went to tmobile store to point this out, while it was within warranty, they said i wouldnt worry about it it is the nature of your phone. I would do a master reset and it will get rid of problem. did a master reset within a week it started to randomly re boot again as well as beep for a minute till it powers on.
I went to another tmobile store and told them this , they said i would not worry about it, its the nature of your phone. i went to six differennt tmobile stores thats in my city and same thing.
when i called custo, mer care they just told me to go to tmobile store.i did several master resets, problem not gone.
Now my 14 days are up, as well as one year warranty when i first got phone(dont know if u get a new one year after a warranty exchange)My phone has no use now as it just powers on to tmobile screen, basically what i said above.
do i have to pay to get a new phone. Is there someone whom i can file a complaint to.All what the workers in tmobile seem to be doing is texting on their phones, looking happy that they can abuse power. they all look like stereotypical teens who are either clueless, or rude jerks who abuse their powers.
also the headphone jack was very loose when i got the warranty phone, only worked at earphones at a particular angle. when i pointed this out to tmobile store, it was same response as with the other issue i have.
can't do anything about loose jack...
but hopefully your problem is only a software issue...and not a hardware one
if it is only software issue you can fix it
go to android development thread...
look up sticky notes
learn how to root your phone...
learn how to install recovery...
and flash a mod that is stable... like the one I run at the bottom of my post
hope this helped m8
Can you give some more details on the phone? Is it stock unrooted? Stock rooted? Custom ROM?
You have a sticky power button. There are a couple of things you can try to fix it in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32653594
Read the whole thread before attempting anything.
Okay before i get bashed yes I have searched the threds and yes I found the issue but the solution did not apply to my case, So I do appoligize if this for any reason is not the right place and will be happy with any mod that feels necessary to move my thread
That being said, I came across a t-mobile galaxy S3 t-999 the phone is not rooted, has not had any physical damage and does not have water damage and no update was attempted, the occurrence was random with nothing being done, just shut off and wouldn't turn back on. The battery has been swapped with another S3 to confirm there is no battery issue. The cord has also been swapped.
Now the problem
The phone turns off after a couple seconds and does not boot
My initial thought was to first try a factory reset and if that didn't work to re-flash stock with odin.
Well recovery also turns on for 2 seconds and shuts right off.
Download mode? Yupp you got it same thing
cant reflash with odin because it won't stay in download mode
The only thing i seemed to find thats remotely close to this is a stuck power button and the solution seems to be slamming the phone on the table
However this is NOT the problem in my case
The slam method has been attempted as well as the remvoval of the power button, Plus after each time it shuts off It will NOT turn back on until I remove the battery which is when i get that glorious 2 seconds followed by it turning right off. Thats why i made a new post rather then posting this question there, but if I shouldn't have Im sorry The mod can remove it and i will be happy to repost it there.
If anyone can help me please do, because at this point my face looks like thank you.

I think you already know the answer. Seems to me that you've done everything possible. Were you on 4.1.2?
Can you call T-Mo or Samsung and Check Warranty Coverage on the IMEI ? They may ask for Serial Number instead.
Not actually my device

Yea thats what i was afraid of, I actually don't know the version it was on prior, to be honest this isn't my device I actually run a small time craigslist base business generally rooting peoples phones and installing roms and fixing softbricks, someone asked me if I can help them and i thought it would be a simple softbrick issue until I actually got a hold of the phone and saw this issue now i think its hardware problem but i thought id ask my good friends at xda before completely giving up

Hello,
It's been a while since I've used my Note II N7100 because 1. it's stopped working (not sure why, I wasn't attempting to root it) and 2. I purchased the Note 3 shortly after the Note II killed over.
Here's what's going on:
Every time I press the power button to turn the phone on the only thing that happens is a single red flash to the left of the front camera. The screen doesn't come on at all. Any idea what the issue is and how to fix it?
What I've done:
1. removed the battery and held the power button for 60 seconds, put the battery back in and I get the same thing as stated above.
2. left the phone alone for about 3-4 months and I just plugged the phone back in this morning. hopefully someone knows how to fix this and I can work on doing so myself later today.
I've done some reading around on related links here that were suggested per my subject line but I hadn't had any luck. I wouldn't mind getting this thing back up and running and giving it to my dad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I think you should first try and rule out a dead battery
