You have to flash 4.1 cwm kernel and flash the root zip file then flash back to 4.3 kernel, which can be found in its respective thread (if you search) also you have to have unlocked bootloader to do it

I'd just like to add something to what @dunc4n88 said. I messaged doomlord earlier and he has replied saying that no exploits work on 4.3.

Sony have patched them all so looks like any way of rooting is by injecting it in manually, I have an idea that I'm thinking about for rooting but not mentioning anything yet as might be a complete fail

1. Extract the boot.img from the zip to your computer, you will need this file for fastboot
2. Place CM10 rom .zip file on the root of the SD card
3. Put the phone into fastboot mode:
Code:
fastboot reboot bootloader
4. Flash boot.img:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img

First unlock your bootloader if you already havent done so. Then extract the kernel from the cm10 zip or get another one and flash with fastboot. Fastboot mode can be entered from Flashtool menu.

Can somebody give me a flashable boot.img? I don't know how to install it when it's not a zip. I flashed the recovery.img instead of the boot.img and now it reboots only to recovery

Just flash some custom ROM mate.
Besides, for which rom you are asking boot img?

TWRP 2.8.4.0 has build-in *.img flashing. No need for any other app/flashable zip/whatsoever.
Simple go to Install and change the Zip option at the top to Img
