I am using a KF2 with CM10.1.3 (stable) made by Hashcode. Thanks to him I have gotten a lot more functionality of my Kindle Fire.
However, when I try to listen to some audio with headphones, I am getting quite noticeable static. Also, when I plug in my headphones and when audio is starting/pausing, I hear popping noises. This is present in both web videos and the Apollo music player. I have not changed the DSP settings from default. Is this a software or hardware problem? Is there anything I can do about this? Thanks

I am having a problem streaming A2DP music. On some of my songs there is static when streaming to my sound system. When I used another phone (myTouch 3g, and iPhone) the sound quality is perfect without static.
Has anybody noticed static on some songs (mostly songs with a lot of guitar and voice going on at the same time)?
Is there anything I can do to edit the blue tooth and stop the static? Maybe a tweek/hack? Its not the worst static, but I am picky when it comes to music quality.
Thanks!
Install SRS WOW HD 121 and fiddle around with the settings. You have to search for the cab yourself. It will improve overal sound quality and maybe let you reduce static.
ive had that problem as well sometimes what i would do is turn the headset off and then back on 1 or 2 times and then its gone i think its just a bug
I installed the srs wow hd 121 and couldnt find the file to fun it. also, i would get an error when trying to enable bluetooth. because of this I uninstalled the program.
I reset my phone many times and it still didnt stop. the static seems to be getting worse. I cant even find a a2dp key in the registory.
do you have a cab by any chance for it?
Thanks
Whenever I listen to music through wired headphones, there is always some sort of disturbance sound in the background while playing. I have tried multiple types of headphones, I have tried multiple types of adapters for 3.5mm headphones.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem while listening to music through a wired headset? The sound is subtle, but it drives me crazy!
I think that it is a problem with the driver- is there a different audio driver for the Rhodium?
I highly doubt that it is just me experiencing this because I have heard the same annoying sounds on my friend's computer speakers, and sometimes on my computer speakers too. (and yes, other people can hear the sounds too )
I really hope someone can help me out here, thanks
Are you using the HTC music player, Media Player, or a 3rd party app?
Is the sound present on various songs?
I haven't noticed any type of background noise on my Tilt2, and I listen to music on it quite a lot. But I don't have headphones right now to check (if its something I just haven't noticed before).
Can you describe the sounds more? High pitched or low? Constant tone, or comes and goes, or repeats?
I have a TMOUSA TP2. It is persistent in any audio that comes out via a wired headset. It doesn't matter which music player I use. I have tried Windows Media, Nitrogen, TF3D Music Tab, and CorePlayer.
I have searched for the past two nights but cant seem to find any answers. I have a Droid Incredible running CM7 7.1.0 . Everything I find says that the bitpool setting for streaming Bluetooth audio has been improved with cm7 and that streaming quality should be good. I don't find this to be true with my FLAC files, but with low quality MP3 192 for example seem to stream correctly. Do I need to reduce the quality of all my music for it to sound remotely good? Is there a fix for this or am I stuck in this situation? I am using power amp but have tried the stock music player to trouble shoot but have the same results. I have tried the eq set to flat and off in power amp, and have double checked DSP manager to make sure all settings are off. I am streaming music from my Incredible to a dice mediabridge in my car. I really like my high quality music and need a solution, the highs are far to harsh and the bass very weak. Could someone help.
Thanks Jason
Hi all,
I really enjoy listening to music a lot, and wanted to use my Desire as a MP3 player, so I don't have to drag my iPod around as well.
Now - I get _really_ disappointed with the quality of sound that comes out of that phone.
Be it net radio, last.fm or flac music on the SD card, I hear a lot of interference from the WLAN and 2g/3g network on the headphones (you know. bssssss / dak-a-dak-a-dak, brrrrr, depending on which connection I am on). Not very loud, but very disturbing if you are listening to low-volume music.
Do you suffer from the same problem? Did anyone find a solution to this?
(I found a few similar posts, but none really matching as they cover speaker/BT headsets)
I use my Desire to play mp3 and to listen FM and streaming radio and I've never heart any interference.
Maybe it's another device what is causing the noise?
I also use my phone to listen to music / podcast and never noticed any interferences.
Did you check your headset cable (I've noticed it's the biggest unwanted noise generator when listening to music on the go) ?
Well - partly it is indeed my headset cable.
Although I am using Sennheiser cx150, which sound quality is really good in my opinion, it seems that the cable is very poorly shielded.
So I tried with various other earphones, and the interference is less. Still not gone, which still annoys me, but less.
Oh well, i gonna spend another bunch of money for new headphones until I get a new phone :-(
Thanks, all.
I get a popping sound when I'm using my headphone amp. It happens when I switch to a different Youtube video or skip forward or back when using the Dish Anywhere App. It also happens when starting a video or switching apps. It doesn't while playing a video, just when you switch to a different video or forwarding a video in certain apps.
It's very annoying because it sort of loud and lowering the volume doesn't lower the popping sound. I watch sports on my tablet via Dish Anywhere app and every time I do a 30sec skip to skip the commercial I get a popping sound. Without the amp, you can hear the pop faintly but it's so low it's not annoying.
If never used an headphone amp, get one. It makes the sound experience awesome. Music sounds great, movies sounds great and you would have no idea how much bass can come out of an earphones. You can feel the bass in your ears like you had subwoofers hooked up. I have a Fiio amp.
btw, I just got my Tab pro 8.4 upgrading from a Nexus 7 2013 for a bigger screen and did not have this problem at all.
Anyone had this problem, if yes, where you able to fix it. I have my sound configured not to make any sounds when touching the screen and tried turning off the system sound.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's the device itself..., I also have terrible sound quality when I connect it to my car via the audio-jack. (CM12 with PowerAMP)
