Sorry for the noob question but if I flash a 4.4 AOSP ROM and then decide I don't like it can I just go back to a 4.3 ROM or is there a difference in the system that wouldn't let me do that because of ART? If I can then can you please also tell me what I need to do besides just flashing the ROM if anything else is needed?

i am curious about the roms that i can use with my s3,
like i was thinking about CM10 or something like slim bean
i like both of the two i am not sure which one i can flash, like the slim bean because its light, but i have always liked CM10 lol.
So i am looking for some opinions on both if i can get them would be appreciated, but i like their are people who have tapatalk that says sent from sgh-i747 but i am not sure if their are running roms or not so i need some help on this situation. I am really stumped so anyone can you please help me and feel free to pm me if you have too.
Any of the ROMs in Android Development and Original Development are safe to flash once you have a recovery installed. Make sure you have CWM 5.8, 6.0 or TWRP 2.2 installed or you won't be able to flash the ROMs. Just pick whatever you like most.

Yes, there is a thread for it in development. It should be posted in the thread labelled directory. Make a nandroid too.

Kernel or Rom?
Here is the stock Rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737859
Flashing that should give you the stock kernel back too...
You may want to check in the development section I know people were starting on archive of stock ROMs and stock kernels as well as stock radios.
Just a FYI whenever you root your phone you want to make an nandroid backup immediately in case something like this happens.

The latest official stock ROM in my country is JB 4.1.2 ..... Am i missing something ??
If you don't use custom rom. No matter just put the latest firmware.
If you enjoy custom you must put a custom kernel and another recovery like pgilz or twrp
Which 4.1.2 build are you running? Anything after dll7 I think should have the fix implemented.

If I install a stock based 4.1.2 rom such as alliance and do not install any special kernel, will I be safe?

It's the build number/version. Can't exactly remember how to check it on Samsung roms, I think you dial something like *#1234# in the dialer.

Try rooting and installing custom rom. It might solve your issue also as it resolve my random restart problems before.
Btw I used android revolution hd v17.

Hello
A relative asked me to "fix" his nexus and flash a kitkat rom.
I don't know this phone at all, so I am looking for the most stable and then fast/lightweight 4.4.2 rom for this phone.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

Liquidsmooth.in my opinion. Fast/smooth/exellent battery with Mopank Superram kernel and have the most and top notch features. Of course you can try others just to experience them yourself.
If you want stable: stock. If you want a kitkat rom: any 4.4 rom. Just try them and if you dont want to then stick with stock.

Dear Experts,
I have T-Mobile Note II T889 rooted with Clear ROM 5.0 and android version 4.1.2. I have my phone SIM free so I can use any other SIM than T-Mobile. I need your help in updating my ROM to 4.3.x without losing unlock feature in addition to rooted ROM and minimal customization i.e. the same experience as stock ROM that has high stability and high maturity. what is the best ROM for that? . Does N7105 stock ROM work for me?
Thanks for Help
Phone unlock is permanent(one way process). You do not have to worry about it.

a) If you are 4.3 bootloader you can flash this MrRobinson's ROM
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23252070760975435
b) If you are 4.1.2 bootloader you can flash this ROM, download link on post#1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2636552
If you want to stay stock then you may not flash any other ROM's but if you wnt any custom ROM's then just read few posts in development forums and see which ROM suits your need.
