Phone answers in speaker mode

Flashed 2 different Roms so far and once I plug in car charger it thinks it is in car mode, so it answers it in speaker, any ideas?

there should be a setting in the car home app that lets you turn that off....that bugged me for the longest time too

This rom doesn't even have a car app. Its gingerbread evo.l deck

It's because either charging port or charger is broken. Change cables see if that works if not that means bad charging port

Phine not charging.

Is any one else having a problem with the phone reverse charging. I.e. the battery still draining while on the charger.

I borrowed a charger at the library and it would freeze my screen. I thought it was a phone defect. When I came home my home charger is acting normal .

If you are using it as a wireless hotspot with usb charging I could imagine that happening.

Usb charging is very weak.

charging sound repeats

Why does my phone keep making the sound that it makes when you first plug in the charger over and over repeatedly, every minute or two?

Sounds like the cable is moving inside the port. The note 1 was plagued by this issue. Try wiggling it around to see if that was it.

Now my phone won't charge. The lightening bolt icon is on. But it remains at 12%

If you're plugged into a computer/laptop, drain is probably equal to the amount the kernel can pull from USB for power. Stock kernel has 500mA limit for USB connections compared to 2A wall connections.

Charging issues

My phone has been charging super slow does anyone know how to speed it up.

Are you using the factory cables? I've found that to be a huge problme with slow charging if you don't use factory cables or a charger having the same output volts and amps.

I've noticed that it also matters how you put - or better - TURN your charger in the wall socket (I tried turning it 180 degrees, thus changing the polarity of the fork and voila, my phone charges fast)

Possibly not my factory charger broke and I bought some flat cables they charge like crap what output and all that should I get.

You should get an HTC cable, and a charger box that goes into the wall with at least an output of 5volt and 2amps

Battery Issue

Okay at first I thought that i was having issues with the roms that would drain my battery but it always on slow charge, I tried so many different usb & wall chargers all the same & even when I have my phone on, the battery drains fast. Does anyone know how to fix this besides getting a new battery?

Are you trying different charge cables? That can make a difference.

My battery also drain so fast when using stock rom or custom ones.
Is that because too often trickle charging?

That happened to me and I got it back to normal by changing the CPU settings to interactive.

I have used different wires still no change. So irritating to always have to charge my phone. Especially when i have to turn it completely off to charge & it charges slow.

whats drain ur battery ?
check with Gsam app

I used that app & I guess nothing draining my battery cause it says the highest is Android System 27.4%

are you using the original charger that came with the phone or is it a generic charger? I had this problem with my previous phone, lg optimus l9. I used different generic chargers and a samsung charger and kept having the problem so I ordered an lg oem charger and it charged fine and didn't drain the battery after that. and try this battery app instead, betterbatterystats. you can download it for free here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809

I used them both generic & the one it came with but they are all the usb kind. It so frustrating... Thanks for the app advice i'm going to try it out & hope it works.

have you tried changing your usb setting back to charge only i get slow charge when its in media mode that was before installing 4.4.2 i dont get that option now. not sure which rom your running if its available

It fixed my problem. It doesn't hurt to try. Setting, performance, then change CPU from on demand to interactive. Good luck.
