this isn't my work but thought I'd share it here. this is probably the best theme I've ever seen and I just found this Icon pack a couple days ago that I think goes perfectly with it. check them both out.. I'm using these on slimbean 4.3

I have been wondering for a while , how many % of the users in here use aosp based roms (like aokp cm9/10 etc ) and the rest of them using TW based roms , is there a decent percentage of SGS3 owners interested of having the tabletui running on there tw based rom .. or not .
if anyone wonders how tw tablet ui looks you can have a look at screenshots allover the web from the newest tablet from samsung ..
of course without a device in hand its pretty hard for me to do this , not only i know i can do this but I would if i had one thats for sure .
im very happy with my note and do I do not intend on switching phone anytime soon, still under contract for 2 + years makes it pretty ridiculous for me to buy a 600 + deving phone .
So lets not get carried away here (ie trolls keep out) , all i m asking here is, is there need for this type of mod on this device ?
if so then we can start looking into how to make this work .
Sounds very interesting but I am going to get Note II soon and that will be my primary device going forward. A month+ ago when the specs for the LTE Galaxy Note II was not available, I would have been interested...
I personally have no interest in a tablet UI on my GS3 - however, I know there are surely some folks out there who would jump at the chance! What would be the advantage of a tablet UI on a 4.8" screen?
I personally don't see the need for tablet mode on the GS3. The screen is just too small to put it to good use. The Note is a different story however.
coming from a GNOte... and specially from one of ur Roms DAGr8 i would love to have a TW Tablet mode
I just started playing around with paranoid android and I do like the tablet mode for the workspace with the back and home buttons on the bottom bar with the notifications, I dont have to reach as far to hit the back button. If I could have something similar but with all the bells and whistles of touchwiz I would be in.
Dang dag about time make it happen

Any chance you could make King Kang for our device? I wanted to try to make something like it myself but wasn't sure where to start

sure all is possible... one thing at a time tho
Never was a big fan of TW on the GS2 although I must say it's much nicer on the GS3. I always end up using a different launcher anyways if I stay on a TW rom. I usually prefer PA for the tablet UI and AOKP for certain other features. Your KingKang looks pretty sweet, maybe you could bring that over?

thats good to hear; I've been worried that you abandoned AOKP for us Note owners!!
To be honest dude, ive been yearning for a tablet UI TW ROM. I've seen your ROM on the note and it's very nice.

Screen too small for tablet mode but oh boy i loved your work for the gnote 1! In 1 month your rom had endless features. Still gotta find a dev here that works at ur pace!
Came from the Note myself, and was a big fan of your work. I would live to see a tablet ui for the note.

Bump. I'm looking for this too.
EDIT:
I did a bit of researching, and I couldn't find anything. In my opinion your best option is installing a ParanoidAndroid ROM (based off CM10 or AOKP depending on which you like) and then a TouchWiz theme.
You should be able to find a ParanoidAndroid ROM in your device's thread.
Here's the link to the TouchWiz theme: http://www.mrmad.net/mrmaddon-jellywiz-edition-fur-galaxy-nexus-2208, scroll down and download the "TouchWiz Jelly Bean Addon 1.3.3" and flash in CWM.
Until someone releases REAL TouchWiz tablet UI, this is all we got.
Is use paranoidkangdroid, a mashup between aokp and paranoidandroid. And I personally love having a tablet ui. Especially apps like Gmail and YouTube are much better in tablet mode. It would be interesting to try out a tw tablet ui for this phone, as I do miss some of the touch wiz features. Like the camera and s beam. I would definitely download it if you were to make one

I would love a tablet UI for the S3, especially if I have the option of moving between phone UI (even TW) and tablet UI...that would be sweet.
I'm not sure if this wallpaper is a Sprint Note 2 exclusive, but I've desperately been searching for the Ripple Wall LWP on this device. If someone can either port this over or provide the apk file, that would be wonderful!

The paid version is amazing.

Actually, I had a similar search myself when I first got the S III. I loved the smooth ripple effect on the lock screen, so I tried out what must have been over 10 different ripple effect LWPs, including the one linked to above. That one in particular, if I remember right, had ripples that looked plastic-y and not at all realistic.
After hours of testing, this one was the best for customization (tons on the paid version) and realism: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidwax.wallpaper.braincandy&hl=en
I'm using it right now on my new Note 2!
I've been using my HOX+ since early January and in general it's been an awesome phone, definitely one of my favorite Android phones to date. With that said though, as I mentioned in another post, Sense has been getting on my nerves after playing around with my dad's new Xperia TL. So, I made the [big] mistake of walking into the local Sony store and infront of my was an Xperia ZL. Needless to say, I fill in love with it.
A couple of days later I had my HOX+ sold and sporting a new Xperia ZL.
The top reasons the Xperia ZL won me over:
- Gorgeous 5 inch 1080p display within the same footprint as the HOX+
- Beautifully minimalistic skin that's UBER speedy
- Multi-colored notification LED (sorely missed it since leaving my GNex)
- Power button is positioned optimally for easy and quick access
- Dedicated camera button is sweet
- AOSP support (Cyanogenmod already available)
- Google Wallet works (with minor hack) / never could get it to work on HOX+
- Typing (on any keyboard) is much, much smoother
- Wifi reception is like night and day / 5Ghz actually works for me
- Google Voice fully integrated / VM shows up and plays in Contacts app
- Stock battery percentage by default
- Love the contacts application / HATED the Sense contacts app
- Love the hi-res full screen contact picture on incoming calls
- Battery - still testing it out, but so far I see huge difference in battery discharge rate
- Stock Android News & Weather widget...again another sorely missed app from Stock Android
- Obviously a speedier CPU and double the RAM is awesome, but honestly those weren't a deciding factor (because you'll keep chasing new numbers all year long).
Grateful for all the help I got while I was an HOX+ member. Cheers guys.
Thanks OP, enjoy your new device...
Hello everyone,
I think what i want to see for my huawei ascend mate 7 dual sim 32Gb is a pure marshmallow rom !
Before my huawei i had a nexus 4 .. It was amazing the number of roms and cuztomizations that we had on that device. But not on the huawei.
Cyanogenmod, MIUI and AOKP either doesnt support the mate 7 or they are poorly ported and unusable !
I hope a team would work on making a nexus 6P port available and working on our mate 7 !
Thank you

Well sorry to say that but this phone has a very weak modding and developing scene, I guess we won't see something like that..
Let's just hope that Huawei makes a decent Marshmallow rom for early 2016 :/
But I think this phone is nice even on Kitkat, I still don't see any reason to update to L, so if you have anything that you dislike try to fix it with root/xposed and all that kind of stuff
before driving yourself crazy while waiting for a AOSP rom

I just would like to see this nice phone running a pure android rom .. The last lollipop rom (B324) is way more better than kitkat .. Way smoother, more stable and the battery life increased (deep sleep just got better).
I put my device on normal power plan (no battery saving) .. i only protect chatting apps to run while the screen is off .. the result is a nice performance/smoothness with an increased battery life. (the smart power plan is not really smart) "i just wanted to share this"
Back to the thread, like i said before, i think this device would even run better on pure android .. way better ! my phone is rooted, i use google now launcher, i wish i can chance the notification bar to the lollipop notificatio bar, becuz i hate to swipe left and right to alter between the notifications and the shortcuts.
I hate everything customized by huawei except the camera app
thanks
yeah I unterstand what you mean..
but if you have not noticed yet: if you pull notification bar on the left you will get to the notification panel, and if you swipe down on the right you get the shortcuts. If you prefer to use your phone one handed then you won't really benefit from that, but if you use your phone with 2 hands like I do most of the time it will be useful.

haha it s not just about that .. the official notification bar is 100% better .. smoother and more appealing .. also i really wish i can have a light pure android experience on the mate 7 it s shameful that such good device didnt get a better xda treat
thanks
We will never see a pure ROM porting (no chinese roms, no porting from other phones like the honor 6 with KitKat) for this phone unless huawei releases important source files. I also opened a thread on xda with a petition http://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...pdate-ascend-mate-7-stock-derivative-t3241661 but we are only a few.
I suggest you come back to nexus because with Huawei we can't do anything.
Can anyone help me, I'm on DP3 but I still don't have the new icon on my Pixel XL. Considering I've just had this device brand new because my last one was was RMA'd any ideas why it's not appearing?
ummm that is the new icon...
Oh so it's Google Launcher putting a circle around it, how ****. It looks better on my 6P.
Your post has me confused. The round icons are the standard ones on Pixels. You wouldn't have the round icons on a 6P unless you were using a custom Rom that included them as a feature.
