I've bought global Galaxy Note 2 N7100 from Hong Kong with Kogan (online store)
Unlocked the device by using this method "How-to-root-galaxy-note-2-easiest-method" on google
[Odin v1.85 unknown CWM6 version]
After that, turning off the phone and holding down the Vol Up + Home Key + Power brings up the Galaxy Note N7100 screen, buzzes out and turns itself off.
I rewrote a new CWM recovery mode onto the device and tried it again, same problem.
[Odin v3.04 / ODIN-KashaMalagaTOUCHCWMRecovery-V6.0.2.7]
The next step I was going to take was to wipe the phone and install the stock Kernal, then using ODIN to unlock it again and trying to enter recovery mode again.
If this is the right step, I will do so.
If you could help me, it will be appreciated.

flash stock rom, then Odin CWM6 recovery 6.0.2.7, then try to go into recovery mode?

I've reflashed the whole stock rom, then flashed ODIN-KashaMalagaTOUCHCWMRecovery-V6.0.2.7 with ODIN, still the same problem.
Try TWRP instead of CWM. You can find it here:

You could try rebooting into recovery using ADB from your pc or a terminal emulator on the phone by typing: su reboot recovery

After installing the app Goo.im I installed the TWRP recovery with it and rebooted the device into recovery.
It showed the same buzzing screen and turned itself off.
There is no noticeable file courruption within the phone and everything is just as same when I start the phone normally again.
Could this be a faulty device? If so, can I actually get a refund / return for it?
I also cannot receive my 3G data from my sim when my Galaxy S2 was able to recieve it.
Does unlocking and changing roms affect the availablility of 3G data?

Can you share more? What did you do before it started?
Have you tried reflashing stock? Then rooting with cf-root and then flashing twrp with odin?

The 1st thing that I do is root with the "how to Root Note 2 [EASIEST METHOD]"at Youtube. like the topic and than after when the rooting process it will restart into recovery mode part at that part when I saw the note 2 word when restart the word were distorted and the note 2 word run everywhere and than become black screen for about 2-3 minit and than the phone restart on back like normal and my phone were rooted and got super user on it and I tested with titanium backup and can be used. After that I try to install cwm recovery and flash the CWM recovery like the app told me to, after that i try to backup my stock rom and than after restart to recovery mode the note 2 word show like when the rooting process the word distorted. After that i try goo manager to flash twrp and try go recovery mode and still same. I did not try to flash back the stock rom. can you guide me what should I do next about the cf root and flash twrp with Odin, i dint try it because Im noob at rooting note 2.

You can go to twrp site and download twrp for note 2 in tar format so you can flash it with odin just the same way as you flashed cf-root.
Do not use goo manager. For some reason it says that it flashed twrp but it does not flash it.
So in a few words.
DL twrp 2.3.3.2 in tar format.
Open odin and select pda and then select twrp.
Switch off your phone and boot in download mode by pressing volume down+home button+ power botton. When you see samsung logo realease power button. Keep the other two.
Press vol up to confirm
Connect your phone to pc and wait till it recognizes it.
Press start. Wait till finish.
It should be working after this.

Thank you this half worked it got me into a recovery which is now TWRP but when I flash CyanogenMod my phone wont boot and gets the same flashing and sliding screen that I got before

I don't know understand what you just said but my phone wouldn't boot properly into cyanogenmod, the screen would flicker around and go all weird then go blank. I then restored to me backup and later made a new backup and tried flashing Cyanogenmod again but the same thing happened. So again I restored to my back up but this time my backup didn't work and is doing the same thing as it did with cyanogen mod - screen flickers and flashes and goes all weird then goes blank

I've rooted my note 2 and installed SU .
Ive flashed CWM with odin , rom manager and galaxy note 2 toolkit , and still I cant see the menu of cwm .
But here's the thing , when I reboot to recovery with using buttons or sofware after the galaxy note 2 writing goes to pieces (and flickering) from down to up the screen like there's an error while booting to recovery and I get a black screen , I think cwm is running but no screen because I pressed the power button once then it rebooted .
It didnt do this in Stock recovery .
I'm running stock 4.1.1

I have the same problem.
IIn my case I've flashed stock rom 4.1.2. and flashed the root https://hotfile.com/dl/173474389/b4d...2.tar.md5.html
When rebooting in recovery mode, the Note 2 logo is corrupted and seems like the CWM Menu is in black, so you can't see anything.
I keep investigating what is happening, and If I discover anything I will post here.

Dear flash twrp not cwm. In GN2 toolkit 2 you will have option of cwm and twrp.
I'll flash it once I get home .

ok I've just flashed twrp using galaxy note2 toolkit and it just booted without any problems.
I'm still searching for cwm , still no answer .
Same here... waiting for Cwm any version not only the 6.0.1.9 but also 6.0.2.7 did same to me!

Hi Guys
I still have the issue i tried quick boot but same thing happens
as soon as i hit the keys or use quick boot for recovery i see the galaxy note 2 logo and then the screen starts to flicker and i see lines as we see when a TV broadcast is disrupted and the phone doesnt boot to CWM recovery
I can boot it normally to but not in recovery
Is there a catch, fix or an issue with my phone.

Hi all. I have Samsung N7100 for about 10 days ( upgraded from Galaxy S3 I9300 ) . Its updated to I7100XXDMA6 and rooted. I tried to install cm10.1 and every time after successfull install of cm 10.1 rom and gapps I reboot system and when phone tries to start I get a splashed screen with letters note 2 n 7100 on it.... andcthen black screen. I tried to install cm 10.1 via cwm and via twrp. Both - same result. Then I installed back its stock xxdma6 and rooted. Just can not understand what is the problem? Anybody can suggest me any solution to try?

New to the forum and needed some help.
I rooted my Sprint Galaxy s3 and was using Odin. I was trying to backup using ROM Manager. I also installed CWM 5.5. When I tried to Backup using ROM Manager it asked which version of CWM I installed... 2.0 or 3+. I selected 3+ and then hit backup.
My phone went into "recovery waiting" in tiny blue letters and then black screen. I tried booting into recovery mode, it comes up with "Recovery waiting" and the samsung logo and then nothing.
Any thoughts on how to revive my Galaxy s3? I have been searching the forum and have not found anything.
Also, now when I plug in using USB to laptop, Odin no longer can find the phone

Have u gotten this resolved? This happened to me today. What I did was go into dl mode power + home+ volume down buttons. When it ask if you want to download a custom os hit the volume down key to cancel. That should turn ur phone off. Now boot up ur phone and it should start normal. If ur on an older s3 u should be able to go to the play store and dl goo manager. When u dl that hit the menu key inside of goo and install twrp...U should be up and running now. If it's a newer s3 u will have to read the modded recoveries thread in the general section.

It's quite easy. You've flashed wrong kernel and rom won't work.
If you're using odin to install new rom you MUST wipe data in cwm, else it won't boot.

Hold down power button for 5~10 secs. after it stucks on boot logo, and try if it reboots normally.
Or press Vol. up + Menu key and then power key for 5~10 secs it'd boot your phone into recovery mode.
