I am wanting to keep my phone as standard as I can while been able to have root.
I've been reading about the new security crap they have added (knox)
I was wondering if I will have any problems keeping my phone in warranty with root?
previously, I had root without the phone knowing (or at least showing) that it was rooted, can that still be achieved?

Hi, I have figured out that the wifi problem is due to me using mobile odin to upgrade and so, I am still on my old bootloader.
noob question 1st.
how do I find out what boot loader I'm currently using?
2nd question
Can I flash the Dr ketan patch using mobile odin?

1 - Go to download mode, if you see "Knox warranty: 0x0" or any other number different than 0 then you have new bootloader.
2- Yes, you can. I used it too and usually works.

Broken Bluetooth pairing, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589309
Go outside of your home where is no known WiFi network and no known/active Bluetooth device. Switch on Bluetooth and then remove all the pairing you have in the Bluetooth config.
No need to flash anything.

Right, just checked my bootloader and download mode.
it's reverted back to the default one but it has no numbers other than in download mode, it tells me I have a custom binary and a count of 1.
before I flash the patch. The version I have on my phone is
n7100xxuemj9 not j5. Will the Dr's wifi patch still work, or could I brick my phone?
also, since I am going to use mobile I odin to do it, which option should I use?
Thank you once again, I just don't want to brick my phone.
The fix shouldn't brick your device by any means. It should work as long as you use a 4.3 rom based on new bootloader.
Choose the same as normal or let mobile odin decide by clicking on "add zip to flash"
Or just flash Devils Kernel, autofixes wifi.

you can follow my instruction's
first, download samsung usb driver, available here => http://www.mediafire.com/?4y1a2opm8o3ihfx
second, download superSU, available here => mobilecon.info/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=Download+update_su.zip+ and put your internal sd card
third, download your kernel ready root, each country different , for example this is my country kernel (Indonesia) http://dl.xda-developers.com/attach.../0/6/1/2/I8160XXLD8_ready_to_root_ANT.tar.zip
and download odin for flash kernel
after flash kernel already rooting, you can open recovery mode, turn off your phone, and press and hold Volume{+} + Home and Power button until the recovery mode, click apply update from sdcard and superSU find that you have downloaded earlier, select update_su.zip file, select reboot and finish
Idk about lose NFC after flashing kernel root and rooting, because my country not available NFC chip, thanks

This is a stock MI7 tmobile firmware downloaded from sammobile and rooted using URDLV.
I am uploading this to those who don't want to(or don't know to) use cygwin to generate the rooted firmware described in the root de la vega thread.
None of this is my work, All CREDITS GOES to designgears
If you follow the instructions properly, this is will not set your KNOX flag , THIS WILL NOT RESET IF IT'S ALREADY SET.
Instructions
1. Open ODIN, make sure Re-Partition is unchecked. Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time must be checked.(you can get ODIN from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539)
2. Connect your phone to your PC and reboot it to the download mode(Volume Down+Home+Power keys simultaneously).
3. Once ODIN shows your device connected(ID-COM bar lit up and log says 'Added')
4. Drop the unzipped downloaded Rom( N900TUVUBMI7_N900TTMBBMI7_N900TUVUBMI7_HOME_VEGA.tar.md5 file) in the AP slot, and click start.
5. It takes a while, once its completed, device will reboot and ODIN will show 'PASS' in green.
6. Now download the root_de_la_vega_sdcard.7z file from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46818366
7. Unzip it and place the contents(a root_de_la_vega.sh script file and root_files folder) in the root of your phone memory(internal storage).
7. Reboot.
8. Delete the newly added files(a root_de_la_vega.sh script file and root_files folder) and Reboot again
You are done!! , Now you are Rooted and stock.
I urge you to follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46818366 , this thread is only for those who don't have basic UNIX knowledge or don't want to install cygwin for some reason.
Download
This was tested only by me and it worked for me without any issues , no force closes or anything. My phone also came with MI7, i don't know if it will work if your phone came with a different firmware.

I wonder why this stock Odin flash firmware is only approximatly 1/2 the size

If all that's been done to it is root, it should be about the same size.
Thanks!

You are right about bmi7 for tmobile, but I was wondering why designgear's odin flash
rooted is so much smaller than the SamMobile official stock firmware.
If designgear's is also supposed to be stock firmware it should be about the same size
as the official stock firmware at sammobile.
Size is different because its a zip file, if you unzip it will be same 1.84 gb file.

My buddy just got a T-Mobile Note 3 about 4 hours ago with MI7 firmware and want to know if I would root it for him (note: he didn't care if Knox was tripped or not, not something he will ever use), so I figured I'd try the instruction you've posted here to see if would trip Knox or not.
I can say that this DOES work, Knox still at 0x0

I was able to locate a copy of the file via Google and flashed it last night, then rooted. Got that done so then I used my Google backup to restore my phone. Is there any real harm in flashing back to the stock version then going back to rooted later, as long as I haven't done any system updates? I ask because Isis still complains about being rooted, and it was a PITA to get it working on my VZ Note 2. Since I can't nandroid back and forth between roms like on the Note 2, I have to use Odin and flash firmware. They have to make such a production out of it-I miss fastboot and flashing ROM's till all hours of the morning!

All of my posted recoveries work fine. You didn't follow the directions close enough. Make sure you flash the universal root.zip once you get the recovery working. If not, it will re-install the stock recovery automatically.
Please explain how you are trying to add TWRP or CWM to your device. Do not leave out any details. This what we can see if you are missing a step. It should be a very simple process if the steps are followed correctly (as mentioned above). So please explain how you are doing it and what tools you are using.
Thanks

I think step 7 is where you might be going wrong. Again, I THINK, I could be mistaken. But I would say start the tablet in normal mode before attempting to go into recovery. After the tablet starts, go ahead and shut it down. Then try and go into recovery mode.
Also, did you start Odin as an administrator? It sounds like you are OK in that regard as you got it going and loading. But if you are still having problems then try executing Odin as administrator.
Which .tar file are you loading? Is it one of the recovery files such as TWRP or CWM?
The only other thing might be the version of recovery you are trying to load. Make sure it works with your tab and firmware. I am sure you have already checked that, but just in case you forgot.

In your number 7, you should be holding volume up to get into recovery. When you see the Tab 3 logo, release the power button but continue holding home and volume up until you get into recovery.

I'm not sure wath you are doing wrong.
Here are a link to a vid from Tomsgt , " How to install TWRP and root", when you are following the step you can root you Tab.
http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=BDShwBHRjUE
i don't know how i did that stupid thing ! i'm using note 2 gt-n7100 ( rooted ) i tried to install a new rom that doesn't built for my phone with " mobile odin v 4.2 pro unfortunately it flashed the sumsung star dous stock rom on my mobile but it doesn't boot .. i entered the philz touch recovery menu and select clean to install a new rom and restore my old rom and the problems started to appear !
the first thing is when i press the power button to lock my note 2 and try to open it again i find no response at all and the only way is to remove the battery and re turn it on again and try not to press the lock button as if i do so my mobile gives me no response and the screen doesn't turn on !
the second matter i noticed that when the start up i found the bluetooth icon trying to turn to green like i'm turning the bluetooth on but a few seconds it didn't turn on even i try to turn it ! the bluetooth doesn't work at all !
the third thing when i recieve a call that turn on the proximty sensor automatically if i touch the sensor the screen go black but i lose the control and give me no response at all and i have to remove the battery and turn it on again !
the things i noticed when i flashed the galaxy star rom with mobile odin that it has partion called param and the note to doesn't have it with its rom but have partion called modem which i didn't found in the galaxy star rom !
i need help please how i delete things that caused that conflict .. i tried to reflash the stock rom of my note with odin on my lap top but nothig changed and it hanging and the screen freezes with no control at all and that happened when i try to use a custom rom and flash it through the recovery .. please help urgently
sorry for my bad english
Two options I see:
1. Try to restore your device using Kies3
2. Flash newest firmware (get it from sammobile) for your region using PC-Odin.
Putting "need help urgently please :'(" does not help you in any way, in fact it makes it more likely that people will simply ignore the topic. Topic titles need to be descriptive, not generic non-descriptive.
Your problem is that like many newbies you cant be bothered to do research, read and learn before messing around with your device.
You should boot into download mode and flash a stock rom. Preferably a older one that doesn't have knox. Then flash a stock rom(without knox) in recovery mode. All the info you need is here on forum.

i forgot to tell that one of the things changed that my mobile lost the usb support in the normal mode as there is no change when i connect it to my pc except it charges only but it works in the download mode and when i reflash the stock rom v 4.3 the screen freezes after a few seconds of turning it on and i have to remove the battery .. do you think that flashing the 4.4.2 sthock rom will make a change ? as the solution of kies isn't possible due to the lack of usb support !
is there a way to format the sectors that the pation " param " which flashed by the sumsung star dous stock rom is in it and make that conflict to delete that ??
What was your last stock rom on your device before messing up?
I do absolutely not agree with those horror tales about knox, most people don't use and easily get rid of.
Do you remember your last bootloader? MK4 or above? Then don't take any risk by flashing 4.3 firmware and go straight ahead to 4.4.2.
It will be the safest way to get a working device again.

i'm sorry for the way i show my problem as i'm a newbie already .. it that possible to downgrade my rom ? i will try install 4.1.2 rom then flasing the 4.4.2 one but when i flashed the 4.3 stock rom the screen freezes and nothing changed what do you think of that ? it there's a way to delete the " param " found in the sumsung galaxy star dous rom ? i think that made this conflict but try to explain to me why flashing an old rom then a new one without knox ? what will that do ?

So you can also try the NA1 firmware, but nothing beneath that. NA1 is a knox enabled BL, so whatever you flash successfully will have Knox in it.
DON'T TICK REPARTITION!

OK, I see. Try a wipe from stock recovery, wipe all possible.
Another option: Kies!
I know, you said not recognized but you must get it to work. Uninstall all drivers from PC an re-install drivers until Kies can restore your device.
Very last option: Find a Samsung repair near to you.

As you mentioned you already have been on NA1 firmware and as it seems you have flashed latest 4.4.2 with "a kind of success" I find it hope- and useless to even try this rescue rom. Bootloader is the reason why you can't successfully flash. NO DOWNGRADE POSSIBLE.

Can you illustrate your words ? For kies it's unpossible to connect my mobile to any pc the drivers works perfectly for any similarphone the fault is in my mobile not the driver and for sumsung care it will be high cost as the warranty ended ! And I wipe every thing possible through the stock recovery but noyhing changed !
I am beginning to lose my patience cause you don't follow my advice or even don't consider that I am right.
Look into system on your PC if there is an unknown device.
Whenever hardware is connected to PC Windows starts to search for drivers.
It doesn't matter that other devices are recognized correctly.
Wipe all Samsung drivers and re-install. Even re-install Kies too.
Start Kies and try restoration, maybe it will fail, but try. AND with current drivers you are supposed to fail.
At last: Try to find a friend with knowledge who can help you at your home or his.
I can't boot up, can't get into recovery. I can only get into download mode. No matter what TWRP I flash, it says "Custom Binary(BOOT) Block By FRP Lock" on the Downloading screen.
I tried flashing stock 5.1.1 odin, 5.1.1 bootloader/modem, etc. Can't get past this to get into recovery or boot the device. Any suggestions??
EDIT: Good news! Flashing the stock 5.1.1 odin image worked . (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841)
It even preserved my data and everything (I guess b/c I was on the leaked 5.1.1). I'll probably just back up some things and start fresh on the stock software, but I'm just glad to have it working.

I was running the G925T (edge) leaked 5.1.1 rom ([5.1.1][ROM][TW][OE6] Blck/TW), which worked well for the month that I used it. I had TWRP from that thread installed as well (I think it was 2.8.6.x). Everything was good at this point.
Where I am now:
When I power the device on, it says:
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.
When I try to enter Recovery, it says:
RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Custom binary blocked by FRP Lock.
What I did to get here:
SHORT VERSION - flashed latest modem and bootloader for G925T (edge) via Odin.
LONG VERSION
Last night I attempted to flash (via ODIN) the G925T bootloader, modem, and TWRP for this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-xtrestolite-pure-edition-1-0-beta-1-t3082467
G92xF(D)/T Galaxy S6 Universal Odexed Pure edition ROM
Based on the latest Samsung Stock G925F XXU2BOFJ Lollipop 5.1.1 firmware (Base build date: 20-JUN-2015)
NOTE: I didn't ever get to flash the ROM because the trouble started when trying to flash the bootloader/modem via ODIN.
- Odexed Pure Edition: Odexed & 100% original/Stock files!
Steps followed:
Do exactly step-by-step the following things:
- Unplug your Phone (IMPORTANT!)
- Turn your Phone completely off (This is IMPORTANT)
- Start your Phone in download mode on this way: Press Vol down + Home + Power buttons till the screen turns on, press Vol Up to continue (Only enter download mode on this way, otherwise it won't work!!)[/B]
- Open Odin 3.10.6 on your PC (Make sure you're using this version of Odin, other versions won't work correctly maybe!)
- Click on the 'BL' button, and load in your BOOTLOADER tar.md5 file for your model
- Click on the 'CP' button, and load in your MODEM tar.md5 file for your model
- DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE (you can brick your phone if you choose other settings in Odin)
- Now Connect your phone to your computer (DO NOT connect your phone before this step, otherwise it won't work!)
- Click on the Start button
- Wait till it finish flashing.
- Your phone reboots automatically after flashing. <--- device never rebooted because ODIN said Failed instead of Successful.
I then tried to flash TWRP 2.8.7.1 (link below) since maybe that had to be flashed before the bootloader/modem, but it failed too.
Links:
Odin 3.10.6

5.1.1 Modem: G925T-UVU2COF6

You also have to update your TWRP to the latest version (2.8.7.1 or newer) when flashing this.

Is there a file I can Odin flash to disable FRP Lock? I can't boot up to turn it off.
If not, what are my options from here? Any way to preserve SDCARD or even /Data?
If all else fails, what Odin file should I flash to get back to stock?
EDIT: Regardless of what I try to flash in Odin (recovery, kernel, TWRP, modem), it begins the process but then fails because the phone states "_______ is not SEANDROID enforcing" and states FRP lock is on.

SmartSwitch isn't detecting my phone (although Odin does). What mode should it be in? I can get into Download Mode, but that's about it!
Your biggest problem right now is getting past FRP / factory reset protection, the only way to avoid this would have been to turn on bootloader unlock in "developer options"
OEM unlocking.
The security system is protecting your phone from you.
You need to be able to smartswitch back to stock but since your device status was not official, custom after running odin, root or anything else you may have done with root, smartswitch won't recognize your phone.
Without "OEM unlocking" on, the phone will turn on you.
The purpose of this security is to prevent your lost or stolen phone from been modified in any way and activated with another carrier.
Maybe tmobile has a procedure for returning phone back to normal.

Guys at the store couldn't do anything unfortunately. I guess it's just a brick now?
EDIT: The leaked 5.1.1 didn't have that option in dev options either. I guess running the leaked 5.1.1 is where I screwed up, even though it worked great while actually using it. I didn't have root, but I had TWRP recovery.
Would flashing the stock image work since it's not a custom one? I'm downloading it now from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841
I'm guessing it won't work or else you would have suggested it. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm open to it!
It seems like there must be a way to disable FRP with an Odin flash, but maybe not.

After looking over article I give it a thumbs up, it may work for you.
Thats the problem with leaked updates or firmware, sometimes devs take shortcuts in order to package it for flashing and security stuff gets left out.
The ota 5.1.1, shows the option to turn on unlock bootloader .
Keep us posted, good luck.

Thanks for replying, by the way. I got locked when i am still on 5.0.2 and i flash the bootloader and the modem. It was the modem of 5.1.1 didn't go through.
Will it be flashed through the 5.1.1 firmware, if not, any other options can solve the frp locked? Thanks

You can't flash anything that's 5.1.1 on your phone.
