I'm trying to make sure "Developer Options" is turned on on my wife's phone as I'm starting to install a custom ROM.
When I tap Build Number 7 times nothing happens.
How do I tell if it is enabled? Currently on 4.1.2 MD4
Thanks, Randy
You don't need to do that for 4.1.2, it's already enable in settings.

Enter bootloader mode by holding the camera button and pressing(not holding) the power button. Then connect your phone to your PC and flash a stock ROM which can be found here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=381726 Try that out hopefully it helps.

Double posting my firend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509399&page=72, respect the rules.
If you can't get a sync with phone then i'd sudjest getting into bootloader 'in sticky if not know how?' and flashing stock rom, then flash a new ROM.
Please respect forum rules.

Where is the 'Developer option' in the latest 4.2.2 firmware?
Never mind. Got it. You just have to tap "About device" few times to enable it.
I own Droid Incredible 2 and I've installed beanstalk 4.3
By default this rom has cdma mode selected. when I change it to gsm only from 'mobile networks' in 'settings' and restart, it gives error com.android.phone stopped. and now "mobile networks" in "settings" also doesn't open.
I've tried to open phone information by dialing *#*#4636#*#* but phone information menu also doesn't open.
I need help to resolve the issue.
Reboot even doesn't work.
on resetting phone to factory defaults cdma mode is selected and when I change it to gsm again "com.android.phone stopped"

Hello!!! i had the same issue whit other roms, it looks like the GSM support of the 4.3 android based ROMS is not so good at the moment so is better if you try any 4.1 or 4.2 based Roms.
personally i use the PAC Rom of Chilli Bean but it haves a kind of Bug of the signal bars (i allways only have 1 signal bar and i can´t add APN so mobile data don´t work).
this is the rom i use daily

if you really need a full functional GSM Rom you need to use some 4.0.4 of gingerbread roms those are the only one at the moment that works fine using a GSM provider.
these are some roms recomended for GSM.

That's actually my SkyHigh kernel and nothing to do with custom ROM. Just root, flash CWM or TWRP recovery, flash the kernel and install synapse.
OP,
Have you tried to upgrade your firmware to a newer release? Search sammobile and manually flash with Odin.
Weird.
I take it you have no other battery saving/power saving apps installed? e.g Juice Defender (I'm guessing not if you're not rooted).
There must be something else affecting it if it's not the wifi sleep settings.
I presume you're not using smart network switching either?

I new it was your kernal that allows you to do this not the rom, just thought it would be good to give the op a solution to give the bloke a solution resulting in not only having a kernal thats mint by the way that gives him control of this function but also a much better touchwiz rom in the process....wasnt trying to discredit you m8 sorry if it appeared that way....love the work by the way m8 without people like yourself us lot would be stuck with the rubbish preset settings that arnt changable and none negotiable.
Hello all! I was just wondering. Is there a ROM that supports Verizon's Advanced Calling feature? I'm currently on Paul Pizz's 7.20 build (which is nearly flawless by the way) and the Advanced Calling feature doesn't work. I've also tried CM13 and Dr. ketan's but no luck.
Anyone have any insight?

I can confirm that it works on the two most recent PaulPizz ROMs. It wouldn't work for me until I went to the new CPF3 ROMs and I tried everything (including a complete restart of the bootloader unlock process on 5.1.1).
- PaulPizzRom.VRU2CPF3.r-2 - 08/14/2016
- PaulPizzRom.VRU2CPF3.r-1 - 07/20/2016

Hmm so it definitely worked for you on the 7/20 build? Because that's what I'm on now and whenever I click activate. It tells me to restart my phone. But when I do, the menu reverts back, telling me to activate then restart again.
I'll try the latest update (8/14) and see if I have better luck. Thanks for the reply!
I am having the same problem on PP.r2. I flashed directly from the CPD1 safe upgrade to PP.r2 after doing the MM upgrade and unlock. Advanced calling activated on CPD1 safe upgrade, but did not work after flashing PP.r2 no matter what I did. I went through several resets, flashed back to CPD1 safe upgrade to make sure I wasn't seeing things and it worked. Wiped and flashed PP.r2 and it will not activate. When I go into the advanced calling section, I only see an 'Activate Later' button.
I have also removed the feature from My Verizon online through my PC browser and tried to have it put on my account and activate that way. It will tell me that I am adding a feature to my account and ask if that is what I would like to do, but still does not activate.
I understand that there are several that do not have a problem with getting Advanced Calling to work properly, but I also see that there are more than a few that have this problem.
Not sure if its helpful for you but after unlocking my bootloader for 6.0.1 roms, the only way i was able to get advanced calling/wifi calling to work was to call verizon and have them remove and then re-add the feature to my account. I too was getting the issue where i would activate, it would reboot my phone and the when id go back to check the setting, it would ask me to activate again. I hope this helps you .

I just spent a good 30-40 min with a Verizon rep having them deactivate and reactivate the HD Calling feature and still don't have advanced calling enabled. It just goes gray every time I try to activate it and then back to black after reboot only to tell me I already have the feature. I'm on the latest PaulPizz MM ROM. If anyone has other suggestions I'd love to hear them.
