root sch-i605 Verizon 4.3 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello all new to the forums and relatively inexperienced rooting device (only done once) I just update to the 4.3 firmware update a few days ago and now want to root. I have searched xda pretty thoroughly and found no instructions or how two's for rooting with 4.3. I found 1 site with instructions on true android blogspot
I have tried their method numerous times on different computers and it fails every time with a write error shortly after clicking start. If anyone has any ideas or Knows how I can successfully root My device it would be appreciated. Haven't been able to find and help anywhere.

Same here on trying the Other Blog List method Write fail after clicking start to.
Does anyone have another way to Root?

I just got the 4.3 OTA update from Verizon on my note 2 and lost the root I had (used Framaroot that time). I too tried the true-android.blogspot.com method which failed, but Kingo worked a few minutes ago. There are some posts about on here, but you can go over to kingoapp.com. It is one of those 1-click-almost-too-good-to-be-true methods compared to what I did on my Motorola Bionic.

I'm on kingoapp now and the sch-i605 model is not listed under their list of supported devices. Only the international version is there. Does it still work even though my model is not listed? Thanks.

Reason I ask is because I can't connect to PC and need a apt root solution for 4.4.2.
Thanks
CF Auto Root!
Sorry bro you need an apk for root...just happened to re-read your post. Never tried Towel Root.
ANDROID...A New Digital Revolution Of Incredible Developers
Kingo root worked for me after unrooting and updating by OTA to 4.4.2
Ive rooted both lg ultimate 2 & lg optimus fuel, both running 4.4.2 using towelroot. Only thing: before u "make it rain", tap welcome 3 times and change the next to last digit to a zero (on the phones i mentioned). Unsure of other models, but it'll root both of those phones in literally less than 5 seconds....

[Q] T999V running stock 4.4.2 - How to Root

Hello - I updated my Wind S3 a couple of weeks ago from 4.3 to 4.4.2 using Kies but have lost root access in the process (I had previously used mrRobinson's method to gain root under 4.3). Is there a way to regain it? I am reluctant to try to re-flash the 4.3 image I originally used to gain root, as there appears to be a risk of bricking the device.
If no rooting method is currently available, is mrRobinson expected to release a rooted 4.4.2 system image at some time in the future?
Thanks,
Mvt926
Here is the solution

Google for SUAME (A Chinese Tool) OR SIMPLY go to below
Link

this is the only ultimate tool for Root.
Use Towelroot. Fastest, easiest root method I've ever seen.
I don't recommend going outside xda for stuff like this. There are plenty of other solutions here already and are usually quite safe to use. Its hard to help with anything if you go elsewhere and use stuff we've never heard of here.

Thanks. I will look into this option and whether others have used it successfully with my variant of the S3.

[Q] VS985 12B root?

I just upgraded from my old Galaxy S3 and got this lovely Verizon LG G3. I had rooted my Galaxy, and the Razr before that. Looking through the threads it seemed quite easy, but I realized that all the root options I was seeing were for older software versions. Is there a way to root running this software version or do I simply need to give it time for someone to figure out a way to root this? Or do some of the root methods I have seen work on this software? I tried one and it said my device had been patched and that deterred me from trying again.
Sorry if I am asking a fairly dumb question. Rooting my Razr was awesome. Then I switched to the S3 and had knox to deal with and everything got a bit more complicated. Now I'm using a LG phone and it has confused me again! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Downgrade to firmware that is supported by root and then root.
I just rooted for the first time downgrading from 12B to 10B( I think?) following these steps:
reddit DOT com -> /r/LGG3/comments/2nv2tn/so_i_tried_to_root_my_phone_today_and_this/cmh8pky[/url]
(sorry, can't post likes cause I'm a n00000b )
Good luck!

[Q] TowelRoot on 4.4.2 not working 2015

So i recently been wanting to root my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 again, the first time i did it in TowelRoot and it worked just fine, but i had to turn it in for warranty, i got a new one and I'm wanting to root it, i open TowelRoot and it says "This phone isn't currently supported". What? that doesn't make sense because i did the same process before with the exact same model phone and it worked just fine ( I run 4.4.2 ) as i looked into the problem i found that if you tap the "welcome to the towelroot v3" 3 times, it gives you a code that you can change, i changed it to all the available codes to try and fix it, got nothing. i have no idea why its deciding to not root this phone but it worked just fine with my first Note 3. Please someone help, any help is fine.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck
Towelroot won't work on kitkat, you need chainfire's autoroot, look in original development.
Pp.
If you flash the NE6 kernel using Odin you can then use Towelroot to root your phone. Then you can flash the NK3 kernel back If you want

at&t say root possible

Was chatting with att and was told root is possible
I'm doubtful it'll work but att said it works
On the website mentioned, clearly indicated:
"NOTE: You cannot use this root method if you have AT&T or Verizon branded Galaxy Note5. We are using the T-Mobile Note 5."

oh believe me i know just thought it was funny they said sure and sent two links that both state specifically not to do if on att variant could i i get replacement or sue att for misinfo if i bricked device? i doubt it
For the record root is possible but you have to downgrade & make root changes but only for anyone who did not upgraded beyond binary 4 versions of Nougat. You can find out what binary version you are on by looking at your baseband in About. i.e. basebands beginning in N920AUCS4. Such as N920AUCS4CPK1 through N920AUCS4EQL1
If your baseband is N920AUCS3 or lower you can already root right now!!
As always gaining root is a matter of not taking updates and waiting for the community to find a hole.
Check if you're on a binary 4 firmware
SETTINGS|SYSTEM|About Device
Baseband version
N920AUCS4 <=== If you have a 4 that's binary 4
N920AUCS5 <=== If you have a 5 that's binary 5
I will have a HOWTO up soon, however, this will mean you're stuck on Android 6.01

Awesome news let me know if I can help in anyway. I outlined what we can do with the two rooting approaches we have in the state of root thread

That is the opposite reaction I got from the Customer Support Technician I talked to at Verzon when I called them to talk about my semi rooted g925v. When they connected they ran their diagnostics and they determined I had malware running and proceed to upload at least a fresh boot image over the air and patch my device in real time. My phone rebooted and all the permissions were reset and apps didn't appear anymore along with all my bookmarks gone. They told me to stop talking about root or they would not talk to me.
