Basically should be able to port kit kat directly over correct? Thinking about taking back my note 10.1 2014 , bought my dad a Nexus 7 kit kat it's amazing very quick! Figured some one will make Rom to update the stock version?
I have the same question. I picked the regular G Pad up from Best Buy yesterday since it was on sale. Hopefully I can get the google play version's rom on it somehow.
should be possible just as it is on the HTC One And the Samsung S4

I am thinking of buying an samsung galaxy tab 3 7 inch, but i wonder for how long the tablet will be supported. Do you think it ever even gets KitKat? As far as i can see, there are not even 4.3 roms out there Do you think this will change and will Samsung provide Official updates?

personally, if you can a few bucks, I would get the 8" model. but if not, i don't see the 7" getting kit kat. I would wait for the 2014 model.
Official support notice for gtab 3 7 with Kitkat should be here in a little while. I think the Sprint devices got their updates first already.
Hi
Does anyone know whether this will happen, or is CM13 our best bet?
Thanks.
It would be really nice of LG to give us 6.0 especially since the tablet is newer and more powerful than the 2013 Nexus 7, which has already gotten Marshmallow. That and LG is bragging about being the first OEM to push 6.0 to their G4, so how hard would a STOCK update be for our tablet?
I just picked up a great used 10.1 2014 and it d/led the 5.1.1 update, but I stopped it from installing. I have been thru this with my rooted Droid and wanted to ask, will I be ok to install, or should I do something else?
Is Lollipop better, and can it be rooted if I choose to later?
Thanks,
Dennis
Samsung never provided a Lollipop update for the Tab Pro 10.1, so I am not sure how your tablet downloaded a 5.1.1 update.

From his description I see he has a Note 10.1 2014, which indeed received 5.1.1. He's in the wrong forum for this, though.

I am about to flash cm12.1 in my tab pro 10.1... I feel tw kit kat laggy. Samsung just want money and for them doesn't matter the happiness customers. Someone have the contact from oficial center of samsung? I want to write an email to show that I am not happy with their "assistance" .. For sure this is my last device from Samsung. Thank you in advance

Oh, forgot to mention its a 10.1 2014 Note.
I have received it, but not installed. Just wanted to make sure its worth it first.
Not sure about lag on my stock 10.1 2014 as I have been a Asus TF700 user for years and its a POS compared to this Samsung.
EDIT: Sorry, I guess I am sposed to be here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-1
I got this tablet for Christmas a few years ago and it came from Best Buy. Does that mean I have the v500? I think it only got one or two updates from LG and I basically gave it to my daughter so she could watch Netflix. It's been a while so I was wondering if anyone could give me a update of where this tablet is. Are there any decent Nouget roms that are worth installing. This tablet just seems slow and since my daughter uses it for the most part, I was thinking about wiping it and installing something other than the stock rom to see if that would improve performance.
The model of the tablet all bf in Settings / About / Hardware. There are three variants of the G Pad 8.3: VK810, V500 and V510. All other models of G Pads in these sections are something other than the G Pad 8.3.
I put my VK810 back on KitKat because Lollipop 5.0.x is to slow, they never offered 5.1 or 6.x for this variant. All variants are different.
Hey guys, I have a pretty simple question but cant seem to find the answer, I have a S4 Mini SGH-1257M and been searching all over the web to upgrade it to Oreo and I've noticed that all the custom roms are for every other model of the S4 Mini except mine! (So random but behind the back cover etched into the plastic is "G19195" does this mean its actually a GT model? Or is the plastic just the same or something?
I was wondering if this means that I am indeed stuck forever on Kit Kat or if there is anything at all better I can upgrade to because Kit Kat is way waaay to old to be using in 2019
I was also thinking of just trying to use a GT-19195 or something but makes me feel uneasy since mine isn't that version technically, what would the risk be for trying that?
Thanks for the help
