[Q] Bluetooth streaming issues - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

I'm on tmobile I'm running a GPE rom and I've flashed to a different modem in ODIN. The issue I'm having is bluetooth streaming in my car. When the phone was stock it had no issues connecting and streaming through the car. I think I need to go back to the stock modem. But I'm not exactly sure which one is the correct one. Any suggestions?

Bluetooth not connecting issue?

I have had an issue where my phone wont connect to my bluetooth headphones, and I verified that it will connect to my fiencees phone. What part of the build is bluetooth under (like can I flash a different baseband or something)? I am running the codename rom and I had the issue before I switched to this rom, but I had hoped flashing a different rom would have helped.
Is this a new issue that has not been reported before?

[Q] Only 1 ROM Works

I'm currently running Sons of Android Build 4 on my T989, and everything works great except for Bluetooth audio info sent to my car stereo. The music plays and controls work, but no song data is sent, which I believe I've read that is part of 4.2.2. Every other ROM i've tried, I lose all cell signal. This is my second T989, and I have never had this problem before. I've even tried flashing the radio again, but nothing works. Once I go back to SOA, I get fine service. Any ideas? Do I need to flash with Odin back to stock, and start all over again?

Did you flash either the UVMC6 or TLMC4 radio?
They are the only two that work with newer 4.2.2 ROMs.

[Q] Bluetooth partially inop after 4.4 flash

Hello xda, I'm having a problem after "clean" flashing to cm 11 4.4 where Bluetooth will connect to my car stereo for phone but not for music. It will constantly say "connecting" in settings but never connects. I've tried on two separate stereos with same problem and also flashed cyanfox 4.4 with no luck. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My phone gets really bad reception everywhere with 3rd party ROM.

I've got the T-Mobile M919 S4 and I have a 4.4.4 ROM on it (Insane Hybrid).
I've got the latest NK2 Baseband and I also don't want to upgrade to Lollipop since I did before and it was lag lag lag lag lag after a week or so.
I've noticed recently that it is getting very poor reception.
My buddy's S3 will have two bars and mine will show no service. Or it'll have bars but no data service. Or I won't be able to call out.
There also seems to be an unusual amount of spots where I have no service.
When I do have service, the data can get really really slow.
My GPS lock also frequently gets lost during navigation.
Any ideas? Do I need to flash a kernal, modem, or radio or something? Which ones?

Try updating your baseband. That sometimes solves it. Here's the link:

Thanks, I'll give those a shot. I'm going to flash this and see what happens:

I'm still a bit confused on some of the terminology and what's bundled with what.
- The "modem" is the same as the "radio", right? It's a driver that controls how the device deals with cellular voice and data signals. I can find the version of my modem/radio by looking at the last letters in my "baseband."
- The modem/radio driver is usually bundled with a ROM, right? So the ROM that I flashed above will also update/replace my current modem/radio driver?
- Modem/radio drivers can be separate from the ROM itself. If I use a 4.4.4 rom that has NK2 bundled, I can still flash just a NH4 radio using ODIN onto the old ROM and be ok, right?
- Where does the kernal come in? I'm assuming the kernel is bundled with the ROM and the kernal is only in charge of the switching between cellular and WiFi data, right?
That's the price you pay with custom roms, sometimes your lucky and everything works the way it's supposed to sometimes it doesn't.
Run phone for a day and make sure everything works properly after flashing back to stock before attempting custom again.
If you need your device to function as a reliable phone, making and receiving calls and messages you may have to rely on stock roms.

MTCE_MX no wifi

Hello
I bought car with android radio RK3368. I tried most popular roms 9.0 from XDA (also with android 8.0) and always wifi is not working. Also connecting phone by USB cable is not working.
USB is working and I can get internet from 3g modem.
I also tried upgrade MCU and without changes.
How to recognize what model of radio it is ? Maybe it is not MX or something other ?
