What ROM for my needs?

Hello,
I have had my note 2 for some while now and I still love how it works. But seeing all the different mods and requiring to get some sort of radio and rom in combination with another extension. I haven't been able to understand how and what to do. So choosing for the easy way out: A rom with the mods I seek build in!
I am looking for a rom that is stock or as close to stock (minus bloatware, i can remove these myself if neccesary), some 5x6 mod for touchwiz (4x5 is a waste of space imo), sd and internal card flipped (using a 64gb sd card its madness to get the icon telling me my memory is gettin full) and the multiwindow mod.
Does anyone know of a rom that is close to what I seek? Please let me know, i've been reading changelogs of so many different roms that its reminding me of my college years.
Thanks
Do a nandroid backup and flash the one that looks closed to what you think you need. Omega rom is very popular, it allows you to choose what is included in the installation when you run it. There are a few other roms which do the same.

Well to be perfectly honest i nearly flashed them all and i have the greatest respect for the devs for building theses great roms and kernels, but the stock rom and kernel gives you the best performance, stability and batterylife
You can however root the phone for some goodies like: addblocking, sdcard tweaks, saving user apps and data, removing bloatware etc etc.

Then just root your phone and flash the mods you want. You don't need a custom rom.

custom rom for galaxy note 2

Hi i dont really know if this is the right place to do this
but i am searching for a custom rom for the galaxy note2, its the international non 4g version
i am looking for a rom that
1. have less bloatware(i want to throw away things like s suggest, chat on, flipboard)
2.have flash support and comes pre rooted , if possible still keeping as many functions of the original rom like say their usb audio
3.wouldnt detract battery perfomance
i am considering omegarom from what some people says
also one more thing, would i have to install every single apps again? is there a way to not have to do this ?

Well for starters this should have gone in the Q&A section because it's essentially a question.
Yes omega rom is quite good from most reviews and seems to be a good place to start.
Only way to preserve your apps is to create a backup either using MyBackupRoot or Titanium Backup (Or any other sort of backup software you want) then restore
But a full wipe is recommended because you are going from stock to custom (should be done between every rom change anyway)
i did request for a change , as i soon realize there is an q&a forum, do you know if omegarom preserves the usb audio functionality ? where you can stream audio through usb

Adding note 3 apps in stock ROM 4.3

hi ,
I was trying to include few note 3 apps which are ram friendly to my note 2 running on stock 4.3 ROM ( rooted).
i have action memo installed in my note 2 and i want it to open (double tapping spen) instead of snote mini can anybody point out which file to modify ?
PS: I dont want to use custom rom as they are ram eaters and just come back from it. However looking to include few useful features like
new SNOTE- DONE
GROUP PLAY with video sharing - done
one handed operation for all windows - remaining.

Try installing Ditto Note 3 ROM by Electron Team (Custom ROM though).. But its worth it! Quite RAM friendly for me. Go try it, every Note3 apps are ported.
As far as I can see there are two projects porting most Note 3 features to Note 2:

[Q] Any way to make a 500-MB RAM android phone faster? Galaxy Ace 4

Hi I just got my first android phone. A Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 with a very low price an spec
turns out that it is super slow and laggy, apps crash constantly, returning to home screen takes 2-5 secs
I've already tweaked it in some ways, like disabling animations, using light laucher, etc. (ART is not available though..)
I'm very new to Android world and I just wanna know if there're any other ways to speed up this phone
maybe custom ROMs or rooting? I can't find either of these for my model. CyanogenMod doesn't support my model and so do the other custom ROMs
It lags badly. Please help :crying:

Do you have model number ?
If phone is very recent you won't find any custom rom yet, so wait a bit.
Without custom rom you can't do a lot... Especially without root.
Try to disable a much apps (stuff like Samsung apps...) as you can, and don't use Touchwizz.
You can't do much more without root or custom rom.

The model number is SM-G313HU
I don't know if they will ever build a custom ROM for my model. Should I do an unsupported way? Please guide me.

Phone is brand new, i think you can't install custom roms easilly. You need to wait and see if devs are insterested in it.
Try to disable a lot of stuff and find a launcher without touchwizz, i have no better advices.
how u root dat cell i also have it & i want 2 root it..

If you can't find guides specific to your phone try some generic tools such as towelroot

USING STOCK APP's WITH CUSTOM ROM

We all love using custom rom's to improve our device. But every now and then I will go back to stock rom. Why?
Samsung make great apps!
I make a backup of various stock apps and then try to install them on the custom rom. It doesn't work.
.
How can I get stock apps to run on custom rom's?

The depths to which Samsung (for better or for worse) customise the Android OS on thier devices is what allows them to so deeply integrate thier own apps into the OS. This is what allows them to have proprietry features such as the S-pen recognised throughout the OS and perform specific functions in thier own apps, and also why such proprietry features, such as the S-pen, often don't work as expected (if at all) in apps that Samsung didn't develop.
Hopefully you can understand now why you can't install applications from a Samsung stock ROM on a custom ROM; the apps require functionality built into the stock rom itself.
Ok, I get it. S-pen not possible.
Is it the same for other apps? Like Music?
Another thought I had, and I don't know anything about compiling ROM's, but can you modify a stock ROM to have the improvements of a custom ROM? Therefore keeping stock apps.
There's a handful of independent apps which employ or require a pen.
The Samsung drawing app is an outdated version of a MicrographX or Adobe app in the store. But in the OS itself, the pen can just be used instead of the fingers, but with the digitizer's precision.
