Have you tried the default Android testing menu?
*#*#4636#*#*
*#*#INFO#*#*
Ok, I flashed the Cyanogenmod 9.0 and the *#*#DIAG#*#* actually worked, i get into the menu that let me select between PDA and CDMA MODEM conection.
BUT!! It kinda doesnt connect like a Samsung Modem or anything like that, it shows me two new devices in the Device manager:
1) In the modems it shows a "VIA Telecom USB Modem"
2) In the Other devices shows "INTF2"
And when I try to connect it to DFS or QPST it doesnt work.
Im shure i need some drivers or something, but i dont know which ones.
Any clue?

Oi, hit thanks instead of reply. O well.
I doubt you'll be able to 'flash' the phone for any other carriers through any menu available through the device itself, if that's what you're intending to do.

Well Its just matter of changing the MSL and the PRL and modifiying the Data parameters and sh*t like that.
And Ive done that like a thousand times with several HTC's Samsungs and Motorolas(Thats actually my second job, seriouslly, i get paid for doing this), I just need to connect it in diag mode and have the drivers.
Which is beeing really hard to do right now
Obviously using my laptop to change the parameters
Same problem
I have been struggling with the same problem for 2 weeks. Have any one found an answer. Can use 'better cut' to write prl, however can use qpst to make internet work.

Uhh, Well I found an answer, but its not a solution yet.
Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696621
It explains why we can't use QPST...
Well it actually doesnt dierctly explain, but we have VIA Chpisets on our phones, instead of the common Qualcomm Chipset, who owns QPST.
But it also give some instructions about a program for VIA chipsets, ETS i think.
I was also reading in a Droid Charge thread (also VIA chipset) that there is a programm named VPST and VPCT or something like that, its like the "QPST" of the "VIA telecom" chipsets.
I'll try it tonight.
Is your gnex Sprint or Verizon?
Have you tested? Did you get it working? I tried but 'getprop' not showing my MSL code.

I've just made the MSL change to 000000, and switched the PRL to my carrier, but just that. I havent had time to work on anything else.
Is your nexus Verizon or Sprint?
If its Verizon your MSL is already 000000, if its Sprint you can get the MSL code with a script made by Viperboy

Dont know man, I dont have the Nexus anymore, but for the PRL updating theres an app that makes shortcuts, I cant remember the name right now, i think it something like bettercut or something like that.
You can also flash an ICS rom and update the PRL like you would normally do.
Hope i helped

Gnex doesn't work the same way as the other samsung phones that use the qualcomm chipset, No one has successfully gotten data working on any of the other CDMA carriers yet... check out the VIA chipset (used in the Gnex) thread in the general section for more info and to talk to the guys who are working on this,..

Im giving the via chipset way a shot.
a windows program called efs professional will trigger that menu for ya mate, simply open efs professional and after the adb identifies your phone click the Samsung tools tab then click the drop down menu under Phone Service Apps, select PhoneUtil (Newer Devices) and click launch.
Heres the link to the program

I want to change some things in my Note 2 using DFS, but I don't see my Diagnostic port. I see 3 ports available but none are a diag port. My phone is in diag mode via ##3424# (PDA=DM+modem+adb)...I have all the drivers via Kies / Kies 3, but no diag port appears. I'm running 4.4.2 Can someone help me out here?
Okay..Since my last post I've downgraded to 4.1.2 hoping the diag port would show up in an earlier rom, but it didn't. I really don't understand what's going on here. I can't use DFS without this port. I could really use some help here.

Changing Ports on your SPH L900
Hi I dont know if you ahve tried the following codes:
*#7284# and then on qualcom USB settings try the last one DM+modem+adb
or
*#0808# try the last one DM+modem+adb
or *#9090# this is the service mode but some roms dont accept this one, with the 3 first ones you should be able to put your note 2
hopefully it helps you if not let me know to search for other options for you,
greetings,

Right now I have 4.4.2 kit kat I747UCUFNE4.
Btw, should I update kernel as well? Current one.
Also, I unlocked smartphone by code, and so far I messed up with diag configs & other settings (followed instructions for < 4.3), and now I want to revert it all back to how it was (default).
On
*#197328640# > UMTS > Common > Diag Config and my options are:
[1]USB()
[2]UART(*)
[3]DBG MSG ON (*)
[4]DBG MSG OFF ()
Should it be left at UART? What does it affect? It seems to work fine, regardless. Dunno why would I ever need UART cable (which required rj45 socket on pc part, I think).
Default option at *#0808# was MTP+ADB afaik.
Excuse me for a simple question, but where can I download official stock rom I747UCUFNJ1? Can't find it. I also want to install it through Odin, not through Kies. Can someone give me a link?
Bump. I need this answered too lol.

Try this
So i have gone into the about section and tapped the build number many times, had the message saying im a developer etc
There is no menu, or at least i cant see one, I assume it should appear in the general tab under the heading system?
If i press build number again it just tells me No need, developer mode has been enabled.
I have rebooted the tablet
Any suggestions?
Android version 4.4.2
Baseband T705XXU1ANF7
kERNAL 3.4.39-2293707
Build number KOT49H.T705XXU1ANG2
Anyone?

I am the only user on the device it shows as owner.
I have no idea then. What country is this tablet from? I dont even think a factory reset will do it.
UK, it's a 4G+wifi model. Got me pickled to, did a factory reset and nothing.

Sorry if you feel that way, my process has always been to enable usb debugging before attempting to root anything.

Hey mate. It worked without usb debugging.
I always thought usb debugging was needed as every guide mentions it.

Thanks for quick response, Where did you find a guide to root. Cheers..
Just put root and Odin into a search term. Something should come up.
USB debugging is only needed in the operating system. It has zero effect and not needed in recovery or Odin mode.
