Attached a modified T210 param.lfs, no image change inside but remove all jpg thumbnail. Now you can use it as a base for your logo modification work. Please follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1898377 but I have no idea which is your param partition. I am not responsible for any damage that may occur.

If possible, than try(AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!) to flash CWM(ClockWorkMod) via ODIN and than (do a backup before that!!!) do a full wipe. After that is done, enter Download mode and flash again.

As already suspected, this is probably a defect of mainboard. You will have to send it to Samsung Service Point. This could still be a warranty case, but from here on only Samsung can help you.

Can you enter into cwm recovery mode. If you can then I don't think there s way. Coz it'll show you tat you've rooted ur phone. If you can't then go to service center and pretend to them that you haven't even heard the word root in your whole life. Tel them that you just tried to update thru kies nd it got bricked. No other way my friend.

Note- your phone shd be within warranty period. Then it'll be replaced. I haven't done tis. But, heard from guys who did it.

What I see is that she's not having problem with bricking phone, so.. no need imo..
She just need to reflash... I believe she got wrong package when flashing? Like broken package.
Try checking http://www.samfirmware.com/
get a stock rom of your country / other, and reflash it with correct settings...
That should do it

Hi Irish..
Sorry for late response
I'm not going to get everybody afraid but want to make them AWARE
Basically i wanna explain more about the "BRICKING"
There are soft brick and hard brick
SOFT BRICK
Soft brick cause by bad installation :
Corrupted file
Bad flashing way
Power off while flashing
Soft brick will cause the phone wont load the OS, the characteristic are
After booting, couldn't load OS after the logo shown and keep the screen blank
After booting and get into OS, suddenly system crash and reboot
You can go thru reboot mode and download mode
This issue can be fixed by re-flashing your phone
Click to collapse
HARD BRICK
Hard brick cause by:
Broken Hardware
Very-very wrong way of flashing
What really cause this ?
It's the damaged "ADB Interference Driver" that caused the device cannot give any command to system. In example your device wont reboot after flashing although ODIN has sent reboot command
Click to collapse
The characteristic are:
If your hardware damaged, your system will crash all over the time meanwhile you already re-flash but it cannot fixed
Your device have a boot loop and unable to go to recovery mode
Hah.. very wrong way flashing ?
Some device (Galaxy Ace & Galaxy 3 Apollo) have firmware that included with automatically system/data/cache format. They will not experience* this hard brick because the firmware doing cleaning before flashing
Sometime user not aware of this
They just go right away then flashing, this can cause hard brick
Click to collapse
How about Wonder ?
No, wonder firmware not included this command so you must clean data/system/cache first
Click to collapse
How to fix this hard brick ?
Until now i didn't get any way to fix it, because it linked to damaged "ADB Interference Driver" so you cannot use any command in your device
It this happen you should go to Samsung Service Center
How to Flash Correctly (Custom ROM)
Make a full back up of your device & apps
Do full wipe on data/system/cache
Flash your latest stock ROM
Get Root access & CWM Recovery
Download your ROM correctly make sure not get corrupted
Make sure to copy it to primary SD card (no need to swap)
Make sure you have 85-100 battery or in charged with 85-100 power available

Yes, if the uploader publises a MD5 checksum. Than you, as downloader, will be able to check the MD5 checksum of the downloaded file.
If not available I think all you can do to minimize the chance of not getting a corrupted file is by checking the size of the downloaded files and the one which is displayed at the filehoster. Other option would be to download the file twice and compare the MD5 checksum of the both files. if they are same everything is fine, if not ...

I learned Cryptography System before. I know the function of Md5 check sum. It is a "digest" of host file. BUT it can only check the integrity of the file. If the original file has already corrupted before making its md5, u won't know anyway.

I'm trying to change the boot logo, not the bootanimation. You know the one that says Galaxy S II. I tried looking for it on /dev/block/mmcblk04 , /dev/block/param . After extracting those 2 blocks the only imgs I get are: Galaxy S GT-9000 and Galaxy S GT-9003 logos but not the Galaxy S II logo.

param.lfs in the tar format or /mnt/lfs in root explorer:good:
Boot logo (splash screen) is located in either of those 2 blocks:
/dev/block/param
/dev/block/mmcblk0p4
the problem was I flash a different param.lfs so I lost my logo , but after flashing the stock param I found the logo (splash screen) on those 2 blocks
And the link below will show you how to get a custom splash screen @ least with the help of that how-to is how I got mine done :

Nop you are wrong, nothing on that links shows step by step instruction.
Neither you need to flash a blank param.lfs or run a script from the link i provide. So I don't think is stealing.
Edit : I tried those instruction from the link you provide with no success.
Wich is why I end up with a gaudi_draw fail (no image) and asking for help here.
The original thread from the link you provide is this one (the one that help me mess up my phone)lol:

and the link that help me get a custom splash screen is this one:

Are you talking about (this is on my tab) the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 just after you push the power button? I think only a special rom can do it but it is what it is. You can change the lock screen via the Set Wallpaper from the menu key.

Concur. That logo is buried deep into the very basic start-up functions of the OS. A special rom would take care of that.

You would have to go over to the Developer's forum and look for Kernels and Roms. I do not know how to change the initial splash screen, only the lock screen.

yeah man.. it took me forever to find out a way to change boot animation since the tab 3 7.0 has .qmg files.
Make sure you have your tablet root.. and use root explorer to go under the system/media folder you have to rename 2 of the bootanimation files.. bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg to bootsamsung.qmg.bak and bootsamsungloop.qmg.bak
Then go to this thread here and see how you can make/extract these 2 files based on your custom image that you want to put in. make sure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727467 in this thread make sure you get the right files out. which is bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsunglogo.qmg
get those 2 files and copy it from your computer to your sdcard, then use root explorer and copy those 2 new qmg files you just created from your sdcard into your tablet system/media folder.

I haven't tried that method yet because it's for HTC phone, not sure if it works the same for Samsung. Any thoughts?
I have looked in boot.img ramdisk and dumped all jpgs from the param partition and have yet to find the actual splash logo. There were a couple jpgs in the param that looked like the right one, but when I edited them and pushed the new param, nothing changed.
i was attempting to install a custom boot animation and in the process ended up deleting 3 important files . My tablet still works, but now it won't show a boot animation and it wont go into sleep mode when the power button is pressed. If someone can load the 3 files onto the internet somewhere for me to download I'd be really grateful.
The files are located under system (not sys) and then media.
The files were called Disconnected.qmg, but sadly I forgot the names of the other 2. I know they both start with boot and the second one has loop at the end of it. They are both .qmg files. Any help is much appreciated.
If anyone knows of another way to fix this then please tell me. Thanks to those who help!:victory:

I think so too. Try using a three part firmware, I can't just provide the .pit because you'll need the modem file too.
Try using a three part firmware if a single file one doesn't work
Odin Single File = i8160XXXXX.tar.md5 which goes in PDA
Odin Three part = Modem, PDA and PIT (This repartitions your device back to factory so you'll lose all data and partition changes you've made!!))

yes, this is a good idea..but where i can find the three files for back to factory ?

The XXMF1 firmwares might have all three files. I don't know but from what I can collect it seems to be the most likely. The test XXMC8 and MB4 firmwares also contain three files, but, they're test firmwares, so I wouldn't recommend it - and you should flash stable firmware afterwards (after the phone reboots and you see the 'PASS' message on the computer and the phone has started to boot)
Good luck!

No problem! Try not to flash if you have less than 70% or so battery left as a general rule
