Apparently after an official update of twitter from the play store, the tablet-friendly twitter app that comes preloaded with Note 10.1 is replaced with a blown-up version of the phone version... even the widget is gone!! can anyone share the original apk with me? Thanks!!
never mind, just uninstall the update from the play store and the old one comes back

e.g google earth, ebay app - both of these i've had to find the apk files and use htc sync to install em. even appbrain doesn't work with them. they're tagged but the phone says not found on market
having the prob now since there's apparently an update to google earth but i can't find it.
is it due to my phone being a t-mobile desire and not a plain jane desire?
As far as I know google earth is only released for the nexus one on the market.
ach, ok. that sucks though
at least i got a working ver now thanks to forum dudes
I had Google Earth installed on my Desire (from the market). I uninstalled it as it took too much memory. Not sure why it cant be dl and installed anymore... beats me.
Install Google Earth via the .apk, it's Nexus only at the moment.
i can find the original apk, but is there a way to update it? or get an updated apk? (guessing no, since i can only find the original)
Whats up with the new gmail app on the market? After checking the version number I have an olderversion. Why isnt my current version asking me to update? I probably wouldnt have even noticed but I went to my downloads and it showed up as a free app as if I didnt have it. So thats when I started investigating.
Anyway its got me all confused lol. Should I just uninstall my current google app and then just go download that app? I cant see how it would hurt, but Ill wait to see what you smart guys say.
I noticed the same thing today, current version of gmail on my phone is 2.2.1, and the one in the market is 2.3(also did not show up in market as an update, just install). I updated just fine and everything works good. I think the market won't show an app as updatable, unless you install it from the market and since gmail came with the phone, and not from the market the market will just show the option to install.
I don't remember seeing gmail being in the market in the past, this must be another step towards googles much talked about push for making core google apps a part of the market instead of being shipped on the phone. Makes more sense that way anyways.
I remember reading something that mobile gmail would be getting the new priority inbox like the regular gmail site has. Maybe this is the reason for the update
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
the quoted text is handled much better now. I can actually click on a link now that a get from a subscribed thread on xda. I used to have to go back to the first mail in the conversation.
also, i noticed a green bar that drops down after you delete a msg that also lets you undo. it's a pretty sweet update actually.
The gmail update was for some small bug fixes and to add multiple gmail account sync
So do I just installit over the old or uninstall and then install the new one freshly?

Just install the new one over top. Really easy.
The new Gmail app has the buttons at the top scroll down with you, making it easier to star, reply, reply to all, etc. It has some other bug fixes, and there is limited Priority Inbox support, in the form of a new "Important" label, that takes you to your important messages.
Here's a link to the blog post: http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2010/09/updated-gmail-app-in-android-market.html
This update came out yesterday, and is the first time Gmail has been updated in the market. This will be how updates will work from now on, just like the Maps app before it.
Yesterday I resetted my GT-I5500 and I installed facebook messenger... I saw that the icon was strange.. It was a new version of Messenger, the 3.1.1-release! after some minute it disappeared from the store and it was the normal messenger 2.7.1! Why? here there are some screenshots!

What you have seen was the new Version of Messenger. There was a Beta 3.0.1 avaiable to some users since October.
Some users get a new 3.1.1 version via App Store yesterday. For some reason, you got this very new version. And then you were rolled back to 2.7.2 . Who knows why?
In the next days 3.1.1 becomes official. I spent hours to find the 3.1.1 apk in the WWW. But nothing.
If somebody can upload, i would be grateful.

Hi there,
people with nexus 7, can they test to me if they can download this app from play store on their nexus 7. Or they get messages like not compatible or don't see it on the store at all.
thank you
Made for phones, not compatible with tablets i think just like Whatsapp
Maybe
Try to find the apk on another site, I had the same problem with fifa 14 companion apk, its only made to phones but got the apk via google and I could install and use it just fine
Not for table
No, its limited to phones. However, find an APK and it should install and work fine. (like whatsapp)
no, go to google play See this
Every review I see says the active 2 has Twitter and YouTube integration.. but I got my lte version today and don't see anything or in the app store. Can anyone tell me how?
I have seen Youtube and Twitter Apps (Just not official) Also a Reddit App on the Galaxy App Store
Open the Galaxy App Store. Select Watch and Press Search.
I want the official ones they claim Samsung made and come on the device... Just not mine for some reason
As far as I know they haven't even released them yet. A lot of people are asking when Samsung will release the apps. They're supposed to be coming from the companies themselves...
