So I have updated to the USB storage beta and re-rooted my Ouya. I have the Xposed installed installed and the installed the play store from the mod collection. I get past the user/pass but then it just times out.
any ideas for troubleshooting? I have actually factory reset and flashed the Ouya again to start from a clean slate to same result. I have also tried wired and wifi to same result, times out.

I ran into this yesterday. Turns out that the check box for the mod collection wasn't checked off in the settings for the Xposed installer itself, and checking the box resolved my issue. I've seen posts from others who have resolved similar issues in the past by correcting their timezone settings or by manually clearing the caches for the Google Play Store/Google Play Framework/Google Play Services apps followed by a reboot. Good luck!

Just because it took me a few shots to get this working I will share my experience.
I repeatedly had this problem, I was *convinced* I had selected the mod in the Xposed installer as I had pressed the button on my controller. Turned out what I had to do was tick the check box in the Xposed installer beside the multimod module This I did with the little touchpad thing on the controller. Then after reinstalling the play store everything went swimmingly
Now I just need to wait until Christmas before I get it for real

Anyone have this happening on their glide?
I tried all of the following:
- clear data
- clear cache
- wipe cache on boot screen
- delete and reinstall the apk.
- 3G only instead of Wifi.
When I reset everything, all works fine until I try to update an app and that's when the FC's begin
The google play apk I have is v3.5.15
Is this what you guys have as well?
I'm seeing few other posts on other forums, but no solutions yet.

Try reselecting your Language in Settings > Language and Keyboard, after re-selecting, a media scan should occur, then try launching Market Play Store
no luck.
Damn that sucks bro. I had 3 updates and i updated with no problem. On both my KF and Evo 4G.
What rom are you using?

okay last one that i think worked on me before:
- turn off internet first, then uninstall updates on Play store
- reselect language again,
- turn data/wifi on back, wait for Market to update to Play store
I'm using Stock Rogers ROM but the phone is rooted.
I've had quite a few calls missed recently (doesn't even ring), so i think i think i think I'm gonna give it a factory reset.
maybe take a gander and some of the new custom roms out there now as well.
Wow that was painful...
Did a factory reset and GPlay still FC's
Did a full factory reset + Wipe USB and SDCard storage and GPlay still FC's (v3.5.15)
I now have found a tool that allows me to download APK's from Gplay web site and load them manually onto my phone, until Google can fix their latest version of Gplay which has affected others as well.

I flashed back to Rogers Stock a few days back to replicate your issue, but until now, my Play Store is still at v3.4.7 and no FCs. I am still investigating for I got this one before but solved it with just uninstalling updates and re-updating...

Cool how do you do this? I have a cousin of mine that has the HP touch pad with Cynagen Mod installed on it but when he goes to the store a lot of apps say not available for you're device. So then he asks me to get them and backup my app with Astro and then send him the apk. If he used the tool you use he would not need my help.

Does anyone have gapps working on the Fire TV 2? I know the Playstore doesn't work on non-rooted Fire TV but I have some apps that require the Playstore to run. If someone has it working, which version of gapps are you using?
thanks,
searched for answer but didn't find anything regarding Fire TV 2
From what I've tried doing was install Xposed, but it won't update, and then install a module for Xposed which won't work unless you update Xposed.

I still need to test it some more, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to install full gapps with recovery. And xposed.

Once I release recovery, I'm sure someone will write a guide to install gapps. I can confirm that google play services seem to function and the play store at least launches. I didn't have a keyboard plugged in, so I couldn't log in, but I'm sure it works. The one tricky part is actually starting the Play Store. It doesn't show up in the regular Amazon menu and going to the "Installed Apps" list in the settings wouldn't let me launch it. Had to use FireStarter and enable system apps for it to show up.

ok cool.. so I then dont worry about updating xposed and look for firestarter and see if it launches then from the installed apps menu, What about using a self powered usb hub plugged in and connect a usb mouse and keyboard. Would that do the trick? I would try now but off to work soon.
Installed latest version of firestarter and tried to launch from there. Same thing.. goes to the play store and i see name in top left corner and in center of
screen no connection / retry. .. should i uninstall the playstore and services, accounts, and reinstall? You said enable system apps in firestarter also.. I dont seem to see that.
Play store won't be able to connect until we can use the HDXposed module which will patch the content provider and download manager that blocks the play store (hopefully this still works on the FTV2).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618158
This requires Xposed working and to install Xposed we need the recovery rbox is working on. Hopefully we can try this out soon. Sideloaded apps should be able to authenticate with the play service even without HDXposed..
Hi all,
I have a fire tv box gen 2 rooted running 5.0.5.1. I have had this box for a year now and all the ota block methods are in place and working well. Recently I noticed that bluetooth won't pick up any discoverable bluetooth devices anymore! I have tried turning off the box, restarting the box, and just about every method.
Yesterday it was showing the discovered devices and the ones already connected previously but wouldnt connect to them. I should also point out that i tried installing usb/bt joystick center apk for controller mapping and the first time I accidentally didnt give it root access then second time I reinstalled and gave it root access but told me it couldnt find /dev folder through root so i just uninstalled it and ever since then nothing has been working through bluetooth except the official Amazon remote. The led light in front of the box wont even pulse when trying to discover a new device.
So any thoughts on how to resolve this issue? Has anyone had this problem before? I might try restoring the device to factory default settings when i get the chance and see if things just start magically working again. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gsharp
EDIT: GOT IT TO WORK AGAIN!!!! Hey everyone so I tried everything from updating to the latest update to rebooting to clearing cache in TWRP and nothing helped. I have read that other people got it working again by restoring to factory settings oddly enough. So I did that but through TWRP by clicking wiping dalvik cache, clear cache, clear data, and clearing system and installing a pre-rooted rom (the latest version) and it started working again! Not sure if a file or something caused bluetooth to corrupt or not work but the Conclusion is if you are not rooted then you will have to reset to factory default settings in SETTINGS > DEVICE > RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS and if rooted just do what I mentioned above! You will have to restore all your apps/jailbroken apps again since you are factory resetting but worth it in my opinion since I love using headphones, bluetooth keyboard/mouse, and game controllers and rely on it heavily! Anyway's hope this helps someone who comes across this thread and is having the same issues!!

Looks like your Play Store is uncertified. Clear data and cache for Play Store and try hiding Play Store in Magisk then reboot. Hopefully that solves the issue.
Same thing happened to me a few days ago. Clearing cache/data didn't work. What did work was disabling the app (it uninstalls updates and reverts it back to the factory version), then re-enable and you should be good to go.
I've hidden it in Magisk but I still get uncertified; doesn't bother me though since everything seems to be working normally as far as I can tell.

You sir are a saviour! i was facing the same issue and had tried a lot of stuff like deleting cache/data of the play store, removing and adding the Google account but nothing worked. I disabled and reenabled the Play store and its perfect now (on Android P DP4)!
So I'm on the latest firmware, fresh flash with magisk, flash kernel, and xposed installed. It was working fine before but now it showes only what is In the attached screenshots. I have force stopped and cleared data from playstore, play services and play framework, as well as removed my Gmail account and rebooted and re-added my account. But it won't fix itself. No magisk add-ons or xposed modules should have any affect on this.
I've used the market doctor feature of Titanium backup to repair market links in the past. You could try that

I had the same issue after I had to clear thev data of the Playstore.
For me, nothing helped: I tried to delete my Google account and set it up again, I installed the newest version of Playstore and Play services from APKMirror and I tried some combinations of this.
The only thing which solved the issue was a clean install. I won't mess with the Playstore again
I had the same issue and i tried literally everything. The only thing that solved it was a factory reset. Also keep in mind that since that occurred any of your actions are not backed up in Google.
Ti backup fixed my playstore links, no need to factory reset
You just have to get the play store to be certified. Here is a quick guide that I wrote myself. It has worked 10 out of 10 times for me as well as my friends. Hope this helps. ?
To get playstore back to being verified. Long press the Google play store icon. Go into app info. Clear data, and data cache. Also hit disable...it will ask you to revert back to factory settings. Hit yes. After that enable playstore again. Reboot the phone. Once you reboot the phone...let it sit for a minute or two for everything to load. After waiting...open up playstore and do not touch anything. Again wait a minute or two for it to register your device. I usually wait until my screen turns off which is a minute. After you waited long enough, check to see if you're verified. If you're not...you have to do the process over again (clear cache, data, disable, reboot, etc) Just make sure you wait long enough this time.

I'll be a monkeys uncle. That worked, thanks!
In my case tibu didn't do anything but I never tried the disable method. I'll keep that in mind in case I hit this wall again.
