I bricked my sister's phone trying to install CWM. The phone does go in download mode but won't let me install the factory T-Mobile image from Odin. IT just fails in odin. I am using ODIN 3.07 and the factory tmobile recovery file M919UVUMDL.tar.md5.
Odin say something about a PIT file missing?

Thank you!!! How would I flash that in Odin and the recover image?
Are you using the original cable? Someone reported they got the pit file message too using a different cable but work just fine with the original cable.

I was using the original cable, and tried another spare. NO luck. I've flashed custom roms on so many samsung devices and never had this problem before.

Thanks to everyone who helped me.

Clear market data, if that doesn't work, factory reset, if THAT doesn't work, reflash, if THAT TOO doesn't work, flash other firmware.

Currently, im running FD18 from way back when. Im on this because when i go into odin to try and go back to EL29, odin sends a message that is in like a chinese style language. When i click ok, the program auto closes.
Ive tried on multiple computers. Am i stuck or is there a way to at least get back to EL29 or to get the latest OTA?

Not enough info. What kernel you on? Safe recovery? Try flashing rom from recovery or updating kernel then flashing.
FD24 kernel.

You have an out dated, over seas version of Odin. Go to the dev section and in the sticky threads there are two posts .by sfhub. Find the version you are looking for in the Odin one click thread. Then go to the autoe4gt thread and download the auto root tool to obtain cwm. Read the entire OP in both threads. If you have any questions, pm me.

You need to extract Odin and Odin.ini from the zip first. It's looking for the ini file that it can't find, which is why you're getting the popup that you're getting.

Just outta curiosity I tried your link. And this is what pops up on my phone.
And downloading a tar file depends on your internet connection. Though I do recommend a pc.

This is like the third time I've responded to you
You need to download from your laptop (or computer, or your friends computer/laptop) . I tried downloading last night and it works perfectly
If your using your phone use the torrent file Adam provides and load it using some sort of torrent client from Google Play

Thanks, didnt realize I was putting you out. This is the first phone I've ever had that you couldnt download a file to. It has always been preferred to download through a pc than a phone but I've always done with a phone and I've never had a problem. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I thanked you above.
EDIT : per their twitter account website is down AGAIN they are trying to fix it. This is why nothing has been working.

Awesome! I wanted to merge this thread because it would've been on the 3rd page. I think it would be easier for noobies to find.
Just so you know, I dont hink this is the kies version. Its for Odin. (Unless you hit the kies symbol instead of download on sammobile)
