Hi Guys,
I have seen enable "noise cancelling" Option in Stock Sony Roms. But in all Custom Roms this option is missing. So I think this nice feature which is ignored or not been used in custom Roms.
Is there a way to get this option back ?
Do you know if the usage of Second Mic in our Arc S is used at hardware level or by Software?
1. unless it is featured in the custom ROM
2. i think hardware

yes MrModMan, that's the problem. I didn't find any reference to it any custom rom.
So this hardware feature is useless if we install a custom Rom right ? :crying:
thats pretty bad man !
Yeh, unless you go back to stock or a custom ROM supports that "noise cancelling" feature
All custom stock ROMs supports it. CM ROMs doesn't like I said on previous threads CM ROMs for Xperia devices is way too overrated. I don't see any advantages in it other than being opensource, some minor CM9 features & has less size due to stripped bloatwares. Which is doable also on stock ROM anyways.
So I have got a question that maybe many others have yet to voice or address (maybe it's just me, and I am delusional). In any event, I am not new to rooting and flashing ROMS. I am also familiar--at least conceptually--with what the kernel is and what it does. For the purposes of this post however, I should mention that I have not ever flashed a custom kernel and am unsure as to why one would or why there is more than one floating around. I have been vacillating back on forth between stock and custom kernels....it seems like in order to flash this ROM you need this Kernel, or that ROM flash that Kernel. I want to learn and to know. I would really appreciate feedback on this.

Kernel's are installed or "flashed" in the same manner as a custom ROM, either through CWM or Odin. Kernel's just add an extra level of customization, most people use custom Kernel's for overclocking although they also have many other uses.
Kernals can also highly affect battery life and the speed of roms. The kernal has to match the kind of rom. Samsung kernals go with samsung/touchwiz based roms. Aosp kernals go with aosp based roms like cyanogenmod and aokp. There are a few jellybean kernals and those will work for the current jellybean aosp based roms. Samsung will eventually release their own jellybean update and when that happens expect to see jellybean samsung kernals made for roms based on samsung jellybean.
Hello, everyone.
So I've stumbled upon a little problem that I don't know how to fix. My phone only can run either my Stock ROM or CyanogenMod ROM, I've tried flashing many many other ROMS but CyanogenMod is the only one I can get to work. About the rest of them they don't boot up, they get stuck on the boot screen and that's it.
And I'm rocking the HTC Incredible S ( VIVO) at the moment running CyanogenMod 10.1 Unofficial. As I wanted to try out some Sense based ROMS, with higher power optimization, maybe faster charging and no bloatware, because I enjoyed Sense just that my Stock Sense got a bit laggy so I decided to change it.
These are one of the main ROMS I tried to flash on my device I use Clockwork Recovery to do this, I don't know maybe some need specificly the EXT4:

I hope someone will be able to help me out.
Good Day to everyone.
Anyone making any modified stock kernels or any new roms based on lg not aosp?I notice only aosp roms being made but to many glitches dimming screen and stuff. Also no external sd card saving from most apps only to phone. Is development dead for this device?
It's been a while since I've seen any new stock based roms or kernels. AIC kernel does have a beta but I have not tried it.
i jsut flashed the zoe rom, and since then ive lost functionality for the mic. so just wonrdering if theres a kernel that will fix this problem, its an aosp-based rom
