Knox is being annoying - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Knox is tripping in Android and telling me something tried to access data on my device and it stopped it, but it doesn't tell me what app it stopped. I found I can force close and clear data on Knox to shut it up until my next reboot, but is there a way to figure out what app it is blocking?
I also noticed my KP (Kaiser Permanente) app has been force closing a lot lately which is odd because it shouldn't be running in the background. I uninstalled the KP app. After my next reboot, I'll see if it starts up again. I haven't installed anything recently either. Most new apps find their way to my Nexus 7.
[EDIT] Grammar failure.

It's not Knox. Folks here still trying to figure it out.

I held down on the notification and went to the App Info and it was being displayed by the Knox Notification Manager. I dunno, pretty sure that is Knox.

I am pretty sure it is something to do with Knox. Once I froze all the Knox stuff, I have not had any further issues.

what are some things I can turn off from Knox?

I have the same problem, the other security app doesn't detect anything though.

I froze everything that says Knox with Titanium Backup Pro. One entry says KLMS Agent. Freeze that too for a total of 5 items. I did that a few days after I got the phone and have never seen that popup

can we instead uninstall knox? I don't have the titanium pro version to freeze it.

I was experiencing some of the same issues till I ran this. Can some of you try this and see if it fixes it?
adb shell as root you should run without the ""
"pm disable com.sec.knox.seandroid"

[Q] Need Help with OTA on a stock unrooted please

Hello all, This is my situation...I recently got a message from t-mob saying they have a new update..I don't trust any t-mob updates and as such, I clicked on postpone for 1 day. I then updated the phones firmware using kies. Problem is that after I updated through kies I still get that annoying message stating update postponed. I tried going to about phone in settings to uncheck the marks and all it does is say "congratulations t-mobile has sent you a new software update for your device" nothing else can be accessed when I click on software update. My phone is not rooted and is stock. How do I get rid of this annoyance and how do I stop device management from sending me these ota udates?
53 people have viewed this, isn't there anyone with knowledge on this that can help please?
unfortunately the best advice I can give you is to try a factory data reset or just wait...usually tmobile will push updates for a certain amount of time and then stop, from then on only manual updates so you can try and ride it out
Also I'm not sure if this will work as I have never tried it but you can go into settings and applications and disable device management
Root and install Tb and delete the annoying app like I did. That thing kept reminding me left and right...

Yes it is completely annoying, now after I postpone it sends a new reminder, and I now have TWO icons showing that I have to keep postponing. Can you explain for me what is Tb and perhaps guide me with a link on how to root if it's not too much to ask that is?

[Q] Prevention Information

Over the last day, I have been getting this popup over and over. I have not installed any new apps. I ran antivirus and malware and nothing came up. Only app that was updated that I think could have done this is TB. Any ideas? Pics attached. I am Knox 0x0 with root.

Yes. It was TB (TitaniumBackup). You need to run a simple app called TB Fixer every time you restore an app in order to fix the selinux contexts, at least until TiBu fixes their app wrt to SELinux, or until/unless you install a kernel with selinux set to permissive instead of enforcing.

Disable the Knox apps (freeze via Titanium BU), reboot and you should be fine.
Having the same issue. If its Knox why didnt it to it before? Weird. Ill try disabling it since I cant freeze as im not rooted.
Edit: wont let me disable or even clear data.

Frozen knox. Will report back. Like guy said above, it's weird it didn't do this before.

Totally stock, unrooted here. Same message started popping up today. Others on other forums are reporting the same all starting within the last day or two.
Clearing data and cache on Knox seems to stop it until I reboot it and then it starts all over.
Interestingly enough turning wi-fi off and then back on will trigger the message every time within a second or two of turning wi-fi on.

I have not had this error since I froze the Knox apps way back when I rooted, but I did get the policy update notice about an hour ago.

I don't recall getting a message about a security update. I've had my note 3 for about a month now and this just started happening a few days ago. I'm running stock right now.
It seems that everyone who has a note 3 without root just started to get this for some reason. It just started on mine earlier this morning. Kept popping up.
A co-worker got an OTA update yesterday from Verizon for his Note 3. he is still stock no root. He said it was for speaker and connectivity issues. he has not had these messages on his device though.
Was looking through my Apps on playstore and one jumped out at me. Mobeam Beaming Services. Says it lays dormant until Samsung does something. I wonder if that is the reason this "update" was pushed out to all Note 3's.
I wish it would at least tell you which app.
Happening to me too just a few hours ago. I thought it was the 2-step verification thing but it isn't....been uninstall apps but no help.
Update: It looks like the Tmobile My Account app is causing it. I disabled the app and it's gone.

"vzwavsservice" FCs

Hello -- I was trying out a MDM in the office on my G3, and after disassociating my device with it, I started getting FCs on "vzwavsservice". Mainly when the phone boots up. I can't really find any information online as to what this actually does. I have just disabled it. I have not noticed anything different or malfunctioning on my G3.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Obviously it is some sort of VZ Addon...But wondering what its functionality or reasoning is.
Thanks in advance.

I'll be honest. After I posted this, and I froze/disabled this "Service"...I haven't noticed anything not working or acting funny. I would say this is safe to disable. It is likely some type of Verizon add-on.
If you do disable it and see something act up, let me know. Would love to know what it does lol. But for now -- Mine remains disabled. :good:

Try opening the verizon mobile application (the app you would use to check your data...etc)...
Does that give you an error after logging in?
I think that is what it is for...
I started getting this today too. Most of my Verizon stuff is frozen however. Wonder if VZW is pushing an OTA today. Those of us getting it, are we all rooted?
I just got this force close today after updating some apps on the play store. Posting in the Verizon LG G3 section might get more responces.

Rooted, got this. Frozen, no more problem. I'm betting it's a silent update service.
It appears to be conflict with new Google+ update

You can disable the VZWAVSService without being rooted. Which likely means it is really really pointless.
I get it sometimes on stock unrooted, but also always when I have stuck a T-Mobile or ATT sim in the Verizon LG G3.
VZWAVSService caused by Google+ Update
The VZWAVSService error ceased when I went to application manager and uninstalled the Google+ updates.
Once the updates were uninstalled, my mobile hotspot and USB tether functions returned.
It seems that this service is an address verification process. This explains why, when my phone checked my subscription status for Mobile Hotspot and Tethering service, the functions did not activate.

My hotspot service works with VZWAVSService disabled. I do not think that hotspot and this app are related since I had also disabled this service on my Galaxy S3 for months and the hotspot service still worked the entire time.
I have a Verizon LG G3. I just uninstalled the Google+ updates and reverted back to an "Original Version" to see if that goofy message will cease to continue. I am rooted and i have Wifi Tether Router installed. I used Stump Root to root the device.

Just freeze the app, you can even do it in the stock settings. Vzwavservice-Verizon's anti virus software that McAfee makes and it is strait garbage.
The 11c update fixed this issue?
After flashing beans 11c and using if for a while I realized that I had not re-frozen vzwavsservice. It isn't closing on boot anymore. I believe Verizon fixed this issue in the latest software release.

Anyone else have issues since root?

My notification light hasn't worked since, automatic call recorder hasn't worked. Also noticed when I uninstall system apps with TiBu they still appear in my app drawer? Also not getting email notifications for Yahoo! app. So far what I've seen.
Unrelated note, am I going insane because I can't find every process/system app in root explorer. I go to usual system/app but all I see is LG,VZM, Google apps. Nothing of detail like usual. ??

The root process replaces the /system partition. I would suspect that a good Factory Reset would help clear up any issues like this. Have you factory reset yet?
I am curious if these issues are apparent in others who rooted (could be issues with the image) or just a fluke.

I don't have any of these issues...
Also of note,I haven't uninstalled anything, only frozen. And only the obvious bloatware (Verizon apps, and dt ignite). I would almost bet it's removing something you didn't have... I would recommend redoing the root process to get a fresh system image, and run a few days without de bloating to verify.
Can you please also post what build you are using? - 11C, 10B, etc?

Try uninstalling stuff and let me know. I know for a fact it's stuff I have on the phone. I used TiBu, but then still in my app drawer and can't find all those apps like before using Root Explorer (my first G4 phone, maybe layout is diff than Sammy?). I've done the root processes a couple times already.

Samsung Knox and S Health

never cared to even try Knox but I just bought a kick butt Gear 2 and it seems to require Samsung Knox for S Health to run so I can log my heart rate and sleep data. But S health seems to have issues during setup.
Not knowing anything about Knox and the software and I am hesitant to running it. Does anybody have Samsung Knox and/or S Health running? Touch the wrong update on the Note 7 and you can say bye bye. Lol
I checked off several updates boxes in the disabler app and My Note 7 is money. Don't even want to touch the icon on this app. I also disabled updates from the play store and removed the play icon from my homepage.
Let me know if you have had success with SHealth, Knox and/or Gear 2 data. I want to see this sleep analysis feature.
I don't want to update Knox unless I know for sure my note 7 won't update with the self destructing update.
If you have a disabler app installed go ahead and do it. If you need one check it here ->
