hello,
I tried to swapper2 to increase ram of the galaxy w but after a reboot, the smartphone will not turn over.
connecting it via usb driver tells me qhsusb_dload not found.
how can I fix this?
Thank you.
sorry for my english.
I'm afraid that sounds like a hard brick. The qhsusb_dload thing is exactly what I had on my hard bricks. It means that the primary bootloader has been wiped. Nothing you can do about it except sending it in for service.
Guys, I saw Riff jtag mentioned by contributor alidsd here
This was the link given:
http://www.jtagbox.com/jtag-news/sa...samsung-ancora-unbrick-boot-repair-supported/
I think it corrupted the bootloader. In assistance could realize that the root has been done and that the kernel has changed?

i´ve also by mistake mess with the bootloader partition, it went to service and they replace motherboard. if you can´t turn the device on, they won´t notice because they will flash everything new. but i tink they will replace motherboard because the service provided by samsung in several countries is donne by companies that cooperate with samsung, it´s not samsung itself and they are the ones that have that kind of equipment. in my opinion take to warranty

I know that my current question will be so funny. But is there any chances to revive a hardbricked Galaxy W? I saw some post said that they can revive their bricked phone, but without any detailed information
Unless you can the device is under any of the status below:
1. Still can be on, and bootable to either CWM or Download mode. (flash in stock rom using odin)
2. Power port failure, unable to charge battery at all phone cannot be on due to battery being empty completely. (send to ssc if warranty still present or use external charger like multi pin supporters).
3. Battery issue, battery is dead. (get a new battery).
Or else, if warranty is present, send to ssc, in all odds they should not detect a rooted phone because all available interfaces are hidden.
Or else, send to local phone repair shop or ssc if they provide phone repairs and see if the price to repair it is worth it and try fixing it.
(in my country, likely the price is insane )
Lastly, to the trash it goes.
Click thanks if suggestion or solution is found useful
Ssc if you still have warranty

If you flashed wrong custom ROM via recovery won't be a problem, just reflash any other compatible stock ROM then your problem will be fixed. BUT if you flashed wrong stock ROM via ODIN and you will end up brick. You need a JTAG to revive your phone.
Its pretty hard to destroy your phone completely just by flashing another rom.
Flashing bootloader through recovery is a bad idea.
Repartitioning your device in odin, with files not specific to your device, is a bad idea
Dramatic over-clocking with increased voltages, can be a bad idea
Dropping your device is a bad idea.
Bumping a thread without waiting more than 24 hours, is a bad idea

OEM battery was replaced with new batteries bought off amazon. After the new update, suddenly it started randomly rebooting on me. and next thing it knew, if would show me a Samsung Logo screen and be stuck on it.
I saw some suggestion and I did the remove battery and held the power button and down vol. it reboots.. and every it auto restart and goes to the downloading screen... i just remove the batter and restart the process.
I accidentally on my reboot select the boot from bootloader, and from there it Hardbrick. It no longer turns on, as good as dead, but when I plugged into the PC... I hear 3 beeps... and QHSUSB_BULK driver not found.
I bought a jig, and see if it would help me go into the Bootup Mode, but it was still unresponsive
I was hoping if anyone is able to offer me some guidance
we are able to unbrick it
......if we had someone to help use with the development by just spending the extra few minutes on helping us
What kind of help do you need?
I saw post about Jtag service saying that they cab fix it, should I give them a try?
I have a device that did the same exact thing. Started acted funny, then just hardbricked on a battery pull. Same error message on computer when plugged in, despite locating correct drivers, etc. I am really upset because I've lost a lot of pictures and videos of my little girl. I wrote to a jtag repair person & they felt jtag would not help. And of course I've done all the usual stuff, new battery, all the button combos, etc. It's deader that a door nail, no charging light, vibrations, nothing. I've not dropped it, gotten it wet, nothing.....it just died. And a few few days short of my upgrade, too! Go figure. Anyhow, if ANYONE can PLEASE offer any help, that would be awesome. Even if just as much for me to recover my pics from the emc.

we all know about JTAG
but we want a person who owns an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 4 who is still in Android Lollipop
Because if we found a person on it
we can create an unbrick image to boot it

Yes it has
The "unrootable unlockable" Verizon Note 4 has a bootloader unlock and root, twrp, customs roms and kernel
meaning anything is possible

Hey guys, so i own a galaxy s20+ SM-G986U BL LOCKED and i was curious, if we can tell the hardware to boot from sdcard couldnt we burn an image with root to the sdcard and just not use the eMMc memory on the board??

Wow very good question, honestly it doesn´t sound to easy.
That would be wonderful if possible, and then use the eMMC as SWAP.
Yeah, that'd be ideal! I already took apart an A21 SM-S205DL and am researching to see if there's any similar chipset this has been achieved on..

That's amazing! Heck yes. I was thinking about this for my Sprint Galaxy S3... so not quite on the same level, haha.
Most of my devices are elderly ones I want to breathe fresh life into!
The last SD-card-booting phone I had I think was the HTC HD2!!!!

Yeah I'll bet there a switch on the motherboards. From my research this has already been exploited in the past on even newer models than the S3, you should look further into it, let us know what you find!

You will need some files to flash the bootloader of the device to let it possible, Just like HTC hd2, but need great dev work

what files do you think i would need? firmware stuff?? binary data?? im really new to development at all, im going to school but id really like to hack this one...
also, do you think id have to get my hands on some firsthand knowledge? like how the motherboards are put together, which pins to reroute??
nope sorry, it is just A theory, i will try ask mods about this
So I haven't been able to find much relative documentation on the exynos chipset. Am going to start looking into snapdragon considering my s20 is a snapdragon model. My test subject is a exynos... I took some photos of what I believe may be relative pins and will attach the files on this post. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Sometimes, old methods and exploits will come back into relevance. This could be a Golden opportunity to skirt Samsung's bull**** BL! Concerning my photograph, this is the side of the board opposite the sim/SD card storage. Don't know what the pins are for. Let me know!!
maybe someone can have A file to flash A BIOS-look BL like HTC HD2 had done?

[HOW TO] BOOT FROM SD CARD [SUCCESSFULLY] on QMobile Z8 with BRICKED/DEAD eMMC

Bookmarked that! Thank you for the link!
These guys were working on devices that already have bl unlocked even before they start to think about booting solely from micro SD. I'm working on a s20 model that's infamous for having a LOCKED bl. My main objective is to modify the motherboard to detect the SD CARD in place of eMMc. I'd like to see one of these have root without any firmware upgrade or flashing NAND, just like having a second SSD for a laptop. Just swap it out.
