Just to answer this question, there is, you just need to be pretty tech savvy and a few hours on your hands. I have a Mac so I can't really help you with your issue, sorry bro

My S3 won't connect to my laptop via USB, downloaded Kies, new drivers etc. My wifes S3 connects to same laptop using same cords instantly. Is there a setting on my phone somewhere that is keeping it from connecting?

Yeah, I thought I saw a setting like that in the past. It's not there now. I have usb debugging but that's it. No usb setting that I can click on under developers options? Anyone else not have this?

I upgraded GN to takju-jop40c. and can not locate the path to enable USB debugging under the path "Settings"-->“Developer options" because there is no the path "Settings"-->“Developer options"
Anyone would advise me the reason? Any mistake I did when upgraded to JOP40C?
