[Q] how do I properly install STOCK 4.3 on how to install 4.3 on galaxy s3 SPH-L710

Hello All!
I am switching to Sprint in a few weeks and getting an S3. I believe they have 4.1.2 on them now? Anyway, I would really like to be able to update/flash STOCK 4.3 onto it. I am not new to rooting and flashing other devices (like motorolas), but have had a lot of trouble with a galaxy 7.7 tablet (I bricked it).
Could someone please tell me what I need to do?
Do I need to root first, then use odin to install stock 4.3?
Thank you so very much!

Is the phone your getting brand new? If so, it will come with 4.3 and KNOX security. you can always check by going to settings>about phone, read android version and baseband-if baseband ends in mk3, then it has KNOX.

No, I should have stated. I am getting a used GS3.
Even if its used you can go to menu>settings>system update then update firmware and samsung software and it should give you android 4.3 with KNOX. If you are already rooted or if you don't want knox then you need odin to flash a recovery then install a rom using recovery

[Q] Bone stock sprint note 2 4.3 root and twrp? knox?

Question about downgrading from Kitkat to Jellybean on Galaxy SIII (SGH-I747M)

Before I start I will say iI did check out the search function for more than one hour and felt pretty lost amidst the technical discussion going on. I'm still reading about Android and learning so your help will be greatly appreciated.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-I747M) soon after its launch in Canada. It came with Jellybean and after a while I updated it to Kitkat using the "check for updates" area in the phones settings.
My question is basically is out possible to root the device after I updated it. Or is it possible to go back to Jellybean and then root it from Jellybean?
I have tried to flash the stock Jellybean ROM onto it and it just doesn't work at all. Odin loads stuff for 5 seconds and it fails.
Other than going back to Jellybean is there any way to Root my phone if it's on Kitkat now? I'm not concerned about warranty etc due to age of the device and it would be gone already anyways.
Thank You!

Once you are on KK, you cannot downgrade the bootloader so don't bother trying to downgrade to JB using firmware from sammobile.com. Do this may brick your phone.
Does your phone have a custom recovery? If not, you could try flashing Philz for the d2lte and install supersu from recovery.

No it does not. Thanks I'll try that. How do you install super so froom recovery and would i get root access?
Thanks so much!!!
In order to flash supersu, you will need to install a custom recovery onto your phone. Doing this will automatically void your warranty.

Rooting question

I finally had to replace my note 10.1 SM-P600 and it has been a while since I rooted. The new one will be here tomorrow. My question is this. Do I need to run the auto root or can I just odin twrp and then flash a custom rooted rom?

Samsung sm-t900 running 5.1.1 i want to go back to 4.4.2 with root.

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab pro 12. SM-T900 I'm running a rooted 5.1.1 but the app i want to run is only compatible with 4.4.2 so i want to go back to 4.4.2 rooted, if at all possible. please advise
I, too want to return to 4.4.2, but mostly so I can root it (I don't want to flash a custom rooted ROM). My warranty is expired, so I'm not worried about flipping the warranty bit.
I already tried (with 5.1.1): Kingroot; Towelroot; etc. I also flashed the stock 4.4.2 via Odin, but of course, it doesn't take.
As an alternative, I would be more than happy to root 5.1.1 as soon as a technique is published, but there are a few inconsistencies with 5.1.1 that I do not like and, would prefer 4.4.2, for now.
Thanks!
Download stock from sammobile. Flash with ODIN and due a full wipe first, it takes. I've done it many times and it works for me on my 12.2.

Actually, I was trying to avoid a full wipe, but I think I've read that same advice elsewhere.
It just seems to take so long to get this thing back to where I want it! But, if I can finally get rid of all the Samsung bloatware, I guess it's worth it.
Thanks.
