Hi all,
I have a rooted SIII, that's all. Was watching a movie and it froze, I pulled the battery to reboot, after boot I went back to Video app, right before i clicked the movie title to continue, it disappeared. Noticed that only videos saved on my phone were showing, went to Gallery all pics on SD card no longer showing. Went into Settings, storage, it was telling me to Mount SD card. popped it out and back in a few times, never re-mounted. I've rebooted a few times now.
Any advice?

I know the launch Evo had issues reading the SD card, but my unit never experienced those problems from launch day until now.
I have a fully rooted phone, so I have not applied any updates what so ever.
But suddenly, when I open up my gallery and try to scroll through my pictures, the phone either completely freezes up, or it gets to a photo and displays it extremely pixalated and then freezes up fro a few seconds. I cannot change wallpapers through the gallery either because most of the time it will not read the files, or it will error out telling me to "select one at a time".
And if I connect the phone to a computer and try to read the photos on my computer, everything is fine, so it has to be something wrong with the phone.
Just a little confused because everything has been working fine until now and I have not updated anything at all. Still running the stock rooted ROM.
My HTC Desire keeps going off everyday. It happens while browsing or during a phone call too. The screen goes blank. The power button also does not work to restart the phone. Then, I have to remove the battery and restart it. Is there any problem or bug? Can I restart the phone in any other way? I read about factory (hard) reset, but I will lose all my settings then. Will hard reset delete my contacts list too?
Also, it frequently shows an SD card error, which goes away if I restart the phone again. I've formatted the card several times.
I don't have too many apps installed and a have 4 GB sd card with about 2 GB of mp3 files only.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks.
I'm no longer able to play Pocket Legends on my HTC Evo!
One day I was playing, and the game froze and eventually forced my phone to restart. After that, my phone couldn't detect my SD card at all, which I've already fixed. Another unfortunate side effect is the fact that when I launch Pocket Legends, the screen goes black for a second and then just goes back to the homescreen. The game is no longer able to successfully launch.
I've wiped my entire phone three times. (cache, dalvik, etc) I did not restore a Pocket Legends backup either, I started fresh with that too. Still no dice.
...and before anyone asks, I have tried uninstalling, unmounting the SD card, installing, remounting SD card, and then playing. Still the same result. I've also tried that same thing but tried launching the app before remounting the SD card and that didn't work either.
I'm running CM7 with the stock kernel and use Amon_RA. Every single other app and aspect of my phone is running perfectly.
The only thing I can think of is that there might be some remnant files on the phone itself, or that I left on the SD card without noticing, and that those files are ruining the game.
A list of every file Pocket Legends pulls out of the install would be nice. I'll go through and delete every one of them.
Please help me if you can, I've been trying to figure this out for a couple days now with no progress at all.
Thanks for reading.
Woke up this morning and my live wallpaper which uses my camera photos has stopped working, I also had a notification saying my SD card has unexpectedly unmounted.
Its done this before when I had not put in in correctly, so I powered the phone down and removed and reinstered the card, then rebooted. Nothing, the card was not found.
I have another 4gb card which I tried in my phone and that was picked up right away. the 8gb which came with the phone is not found in a helmet camera I have or by my laptop either. So I have come to the conclusion it has died completely.
Is there anyway I can recover the data from this or is it a lost cause?
*Note to self, backup more often!*
Hello:
I have owned a XPeria Play R800i for about 2 years by now. After the first week using it, I installed the Gin2JellyBean ROM, and updated it to version 1.8.1 - And have sticked with it since. Everything worked fine, until yesterday.
While I was charging my phone (it always gets a bit hot when doing so), I had to disconnect it and use the flashlight for about 30 minutes. I could felt the temperature rising, but after such a long time using it, I thought it wasn't anything to care about. Suddenly, the phone rebooted by itself, and as it was very hot, I decided to leave it near an electric fan so that it would cool down.
An hour later, I checked the phone and everything looked alright - I could browse the web, and use some apps. But when I tried to use the gallery, an error appeared: SD Card can't be found. Then, I noticed that all the apps that I had moved to the SD appeared as grey icons, and when I tried to open them, another error message.
I thought that something bad had happened to the card, so I removed it and put it on my PC. And it worked! I backed up all the files, reformatted it and tried again, to no avail. In Settings/Storage, the options Mount SD Card and Format SD Card appear greyed out.
Tried mounting it using the console, and no luck.
Can you help me? Do you think it might be a hardware error? Is it fixable?
