Has anyone with JB 4.2.2 on their Note 8.0 been able to get Screen Mirroring (Miracast) to work?
I'm trying with a Netgear PTV3000. It was working fine under 4.1.2. After update to 4.2.2 Screen Mirroring initially connects, but the screen does not mirror and then soon after it just disconnects again.

I have the allshare dongle and it works flawlessly on my note 8, also works great on my nexus 10 and note 2. It is a bit on the expensive side, but, if it works it works.

I am on 4.2.2
Okay, did a full wipe, then reinstalled stock 4.2.2 and now it seems to work. It seems the original upgrade process broke something. Anyway, thanks to everyone who posted replies.

I'm having problem installing Mass Effect on my S3, it worked fine on my S2, but not installing in S3, if i try to install from Google PlayStore, it simply says not compatible with your handset.
I'm using Samsung Stock ICS, haven't changed anything
Please help if anybody knows a work around, i don't plan to root or install any custom ROM for now

Why would you write that? Have you tested it?
Because if you did, you would be aware that it is compatible.
Running smooth and without bugs on my SGS3.
It work just fine from my s3.

Looks like Mass Effect has just been updated and is now compatible with the S3. It also has some graphics enhancements for S3 users.

i think it only works with android 4.2.x so we will have to wait until one of the US Galaxy s3 get 4.2.1 or 4.2.2

True but someone was able to port the android 4.2 camera from the nexus so I think someone should be able to port the S4 camera.

But thats a diferent story, you are talking about 4.2.2 TW rom, not aosp.
in aosp 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 most of the dependencys are The same, that why camera can work.
In TW, Everything is diferent. So probably it wont run

So the Galaxy Note 8.0 is currently stuck on Android v4.2.x, which sucks if you want to keep the TouchWiz features.
The Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 Edition have both been released with more updated software, and an updated TouchWiz - I'm really curious as to why we haven't seen any ports of those ROMs over to the Note 8.0. I tried searching, and came up empty. Anyone?

Using the rom porter app from here on xda, I ported the note 10.1 2014, but have been afraid to try it as I have only had my note 8 a month, and had a hard time with gaining root.

Alright guys , hello there. Recently we saw the release of KitKat ROM for note 3 on Sammobile (I guess its for Poland only right now), so a question came into my mind. Can we port note 3 Roms to work on Note 2? That will be great because then we can get touchWhiz working on note 2 with android 4.4.2. Any ideas if this is possible ?

Thank you for the reply , appreciated . but I am trying to figure put if its possible to get 4.4.2 KitKat on Note 2 with touchwhiz. Which I though would be possible by porting Note 3 KitKat ROM to note 2 ( because I don't think Samsung will launch KitKat for note 2)

Flashing other device's rom(s) could damage Ur phone, you can wait a bit and many of the Touchwiz roms will upgrade to 4.4.2 very soon.

Relax bro,We are sure to recieve that KitKat taste wrapped by the Samsung UI,but in late April(if Sammy doesnt delay )
And ya the 3 custom roms posted are awesome,but whether they claim a good battery life and stability(daily use),
they are in comparision to othr custom roms..So,experience is that most ppl land up flashing StockRom at end..so better stick to Stock!& enjoy just a rooted phone,Titanium Backup,Rom Toolbox,Xposed,Greenify,LMTetc..

Samsung have already said the note 2 will get android version 5 so we will get kit kat plus another update after that. AFAIK to port the 4.4.2 twizz rom we would need a 4.4.2 stock kernel for our device so until the 4.4.2 Samsung source code is released it can't be ported. But I stand to be corrected by more experienced devs

Im using DN3 and its buttery smooth + amazing battery life, please note that I have 3G open 24/7, may not be the best battery life, but it really satisfied me (12 hours with 6 hours on screen and still have 15% charge)

Yes it's possible but:
1) It will need a kernel that can boot 4.4.2 TW on our device.
2) Tons of changes in framework.
Possibly no one would attempt that.
I'm certain to a lot extent that we will get Sammy Kitkat (official or leaked ) soon

Today I bought the tab pro 8.4 wifi version in black and it has 4.4.2 kitkat pre installed. I bought in usa. I thought it would be 4.4 kitkat. Anyone who bought recently noticed that. I was just wondering if it's a returned unit or refurbished. Came in a new box. Please advice.

I agree it's stock but I wanted to know whether the tab pro comes preloaded with 4.4.2 or not. Because as far as I know the tab pro comes with 4.4 instead of 4.4.2.
